I had a Terún pizza, which is spicy Italian sausageI would recommend this restaurant for intimate small group gatherings. A wonderful spot to have some pizza, pasta, and a bottle of wine. Good service, attentive waiters

Solid pizzas all around with good service & outdoor seating. We got the quattro stagioni, terun, porcini, schiacciata, and the margherita. I also got the passion fruit NA drink. The drink was a very unique blend of passion fruit and lavender-- which I actually really liked. tart & refreshing!Rapid fire pizzas:- quattro: asked for it mixed. table favorite with artichoke, mushroom, and olive- terun: soggy middle but good flavor- porcini: great large mushroom chunks, too salty from the cheese- schiacciata: a no-sauce pizza, honestly pretty good but super plain- margherita: simple and delicious with fried basiloverall, would go again!

Terún is a decent spot if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.I got the Terun pizza with arugula on top. It was pretty tasty -- the bread was fire, nice crust and yummy sausage, but I wish they added more cheese. Felt mainly like it was just sauce. You can def get better pizza out there. I'm also not sure if it was because we were seated in the outdoor dining area, but the pizza wasn't as hot as I would've liked it to be when it was served (not too big of a deal tho). The dessert here though, is really really good lolPretty good apps & pizza here but for the price, wouldn't be my first choice. Worth a visit, but not a must-try.

Taking a balanced approach and would give this a 3.5 if I could. It was overall good, just left a bit of a "meh" experience.Food [4/5]: we LOVED the pizza. True to what others say, it's authentic. Several Italian friends tell me that it's as close to home as it gets here. Our pastas were "good" but wouldn't call it amazing. Ironically, the pizza was so good that hubs dug into it before I could snap a pic!Ambiance [4/5]: "casual-nice" is our jam. Baby bear isn't a fan of dressing up and basically lives in athletic wear so we appreciate this spot for its unpretentious vibe.Service [3/5]: nothing bad but practically non-existent. I get it - it's a busy Saturday, but we always had to chase down our server for everything. Overall, get the pizza - can't go wrong with any of them. It's the crust that gets us. It's fresh, fired up nicely, and just perfect in fluffiness.

Came here a month after we went to Impasto (yeah yeah - went backwards since Terun is the OG) but I still wanted to try Terun and Palo Alto was a good middle point to meet my GFs. We went for lunch and sadly - NO FOCACCIA... sadness but I understand - seems the chef who makes it went to Impasto so need to go to Impasto for the Focaccia...Ok back to Terun - One of my GFs got the margherita pizza and she was very happy with it. It didn't look as soggy in the middle as the one we had at Impasto so am wondering if that was a one off thing? Again - great flavors and nice thinner crust. For their specials they had paninis so some of my GFs ordered the vegetarian panini and the salmon panini. These panini's came with sweet potato fries and their delicious salad - so filling and delicious. Definitely couldn't finish it all so take home boxes came out.I got their grilled romaine as I was heading out to a dinner party later that day - and I was surprised at how half of the grilled romaine was so filling - had to box my other half for later.Everything was delicious - great friendly service. Since it was a GF get together we did a lot of talking and it took us a while to get to the menu to order and they were so patient and kept coming back. And even while eating kept our water glasses filled. Perfect place to hang out with friends - great food, atmosphere and service!! They just need to figure out how to get the focaccia here too! LOL

Lmao I feel like Italian ppl complain about pineapple on pizza and they make this blasphemy of a "pizza" with just bread, prosciutto and a singular burrata. It was fine for me cuz I like eating plain bread, prosciutto, and burrata but it was super heavy to be eating a whole ass pizza size of just this

I think this is a nice spot if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. Come on a weekend when the farmer's market is going on and you can enjoy people watching while sitting at their front patio. Park in the public lot on Sherman Ave for free and the restaurant is just a short walk away. This spot is definitely pricey but they've got an interesting selection of pizzas. I really liked this mix of spicy calabrese salami and zucchini. While the pizza was good, I would've preferred for it to be served a bit warmer and I think it could've used a few more minutes in the oven. The zucchini was still crunchy and didn't taste cooked all the way through.I would come back again if I was visiting the other shops or events happening near University Ave. Service was fine and the pizza itself wasn't bad. There are definitely just a few tweaks to make this a 5 star experience worth the pricing.

- Antipasto dello chef (chef's special): a very good sampler platter, everything seems to be made in house and very high quality. Love the croquettes especially. Recommended.- Pizza: we ordered 2: Terun (red sauce, mozarella, sausage) and PERA (gorgonzola and pear). The Terun is a little salty and I just like the taste combo. The PERA though, is very good. Typically don't like any sort of smelly cheese but the combo of Gorgonzola with crispy baked pear is delightful.- Dessert: panna cotta is not great, skip it. The caramel gelato though; it's divine! Gelato is stretchy and cream and the flavor combo is amazing. This gelato alone is worth a visit. Definitely one of the best in the bay.Service is awesome!

I used to come here all the time for lunch and dinner when I worked in Palo Alto. Finally came back last week and it was still delicious! Freshly made pizza and they even make a micky mouse ear pizza for kids! They also have a pretty good kids menu too! They seated us pretty quickly even for a Friday night and we sat outdoors but it was warmed with heaters. Might've overordered but it was so good!If you like pizza must try here!

Terún man o man! It was superb when it came to food! We ordered the mixed greens salad ( no corn), kids pizza, terún pizza, and the rigatoni with scialatielli pasta. Everything was fantastic! The kids loved the Mickey shaped pizza! And the parents loved the crust they left behind to dip in olive oil ;) . The Terún pizza was delicious and the highlight of this pizza was the cured spicy sausage. My rigatoni was absolutely delicious! Our server recommended to order the dish with scialatielli homemade pasta instead and boy was it such a great suggestion! Speaking of server, Alberto was so kind and loved his recommendations! Thank you Alberto for your wonderful service. I would say best Italian food I've had in a while. If you're in the area and craving for some Italian food come here!
