Taqueria Mi Durango

This is my FAVORITE burrito spot on the Pennisula.The Alhambra Taco plate is DELICIOUS! Its really hard for me to go anywhere else when i'm in the mood for Mexican food. DONT take my word for it. Go. Salsa bar is solid too!

Thanks to a recommendation in a SJ Mercury article highlighting the best Bay Area tacos, we decided to give this place a try. It did not disappoint! We ordered both the grilled and fried fish tacos, and they were amazing but we preferred the grilled. Each taco was generously filled and served on a corn tortilla, with the fish grilled to perfection and topped with cabbage, lime, and a spicy salsa.While I would have given this place a five-star rating, the service was just okay. We had to wait a while for our free chips from the salsa bar. As we enjoyed the freebies, we realized our order had been forgotten. After inquiring about it, the staff managed to bring our food out shortly after. The restaurant is small with limited parking, but it does have a really cool outdoor seating area featuring a succulent garden. We will definitely be back!

I have been coming here for the last few years.My go to item here is the fried fish tacos, I normally get the plate.It comes with beans, I love the black beans here. Mexican style rice and two fried fish tacos. The fried fish is so flavorful and crunchy, this is my absolute favorite fish. The cabbage salad that they add to it and the creamy sauce just makes it perfect, I mean it's a flavorful explosion in your mouth. I love the guacamole, it has the perfect amount of lemon and salt, the queso fresco gives it a special touch. The home made chips are perfect also, the salsa bar is a plus.The service here has been consistently good since I started coming here. The restaurant is a little small but it's nice when it's not too cold to sit outside and enjoy all the plants they have outside. I hope this place never changes, it's a gem for sure

Tastes good but man these are small burritos for 15. Usually hit this spot up when San Bruno Taqueria is too packed.

Good taco salads here $12.50. I ordered mine with grill chicken. The chips $1.50 were good because they have a nifty little salsa station. None are labeled so it is crap shoot of how spicy it will be. When I came on a Monday night, all the tables were taken both inside and out. I may have stood there for about 10 minutes before a table opened up outside. Lucky me, I sat next to a bunch of loud biotech talkers. It was pretty annoying. When my food finally arrived, the taco salad was delicious. I like mixing it all up before I eat it. The refried beans at the bottom tasted even better with the melted cheese layer on top. Service was excellent. Bonus points for the two TV's. One screen had Monday Night Football and the other was playoffs baseball.

Went for BreakfastFood - 5/5. The tortilla chips were excellent being fresh, crispy and having a slight tinge of sweet corn flavor. The clean oil helped elevate the subtle corn flavor and the myriad of different salsas paired wonderfully. Breakfast burrito was simplicity executed perfectly. Chorizo had a strong flavor that was soaked up by the potatoes and egg. Pink salsa added creaminess that brought all the flavors together. The garlic tortilla added an amazing aroma and the sweet garlic flavor in every bite. The mojado sauce was tangy with a hint of sweetness. Al pastor was tender and smoky with a pineapple finish. Beans were soft and the filling ratio was fantastic.Service - 4/5. Ordering is done at the kiosk and the food came out in good time. They have a self-service salsa bar with plenty of options.Value - 4/5. Burritos are priced in the low to mid $10s. The breakfast burrito is advertised as $10.95 but I was charged $11.50. It is not a huge difference, but I would have preferred the price to match what is stated. Portions are good and the flavors were fantastic. Tortilla chips and giant salsa bar was complimentary.Parking - Street (Free)

Wow I love the wooden exterior of this restaurant. Such a unique touch. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I got carne asada crispy tacos (comes with three), a side of guacamole, chips, and salsa. I really enjoy the wide range of sauce selection. From pico de gallo, habanero sauce, salsa verde, cilantro sauce maybe, mild sauce, and medium sauce. It all tasted really good and fresh. I love the habanero sauce with my tacos. It gives it a nice spicy kick. The guacamole tasted fresh all well. I would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.

Been there 4 times now. The place is new.The outdoor seating area is huge!The foods are also good.I'd say it's a little pricey tho

I ordered takeout for lunch for my family on a Monday. Not many Mexican places are open on a Monday but Taqueria Mi Durango was. We placed a order via phone and were told that it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. We arrived in 15 minutes and the food was ready to go.I ordered the Super Quesadilla with carne asada, black beans, pico de Gallo on a wheat tortilla. They have a few options to choose from in terms of tortillas (flour, wheat, tomato, garlic, spinach, and chipotle). You can also choose between different types of beans (black, pinto, etc). I've previously gotten take out from here before but it's been a hot minute so I figured why not given them another try because I really do not remember what I got the previous times. They have some seating inside and a patio on the side. They also have a salsa bar on the side where it is self serve. Ranging from reds to greens and vinegar onion/carrot veggies. The Super Quesadilla was good, but my taste buds were pretty confused. The combination tasted like a burger. The carne asada was not grilled enough. It was more like a ground beef. There were no charcoal smoky flavor to it at all. Usually the quesadillas I get are drier because the carne asada is usually a drier meat. This quesadilla was a bit more soggy because of the meat unfortunately. Overall, it was good but it was not anything I would rave about. I may try them again for tacos, but maybe pass on the quesadilla.

The Original guys are Friendliest service in San Bruno.Outdoor seating is best when it's Taco Tuesday.My go to Super Burritos when craving.
