Our favorites: Chicken tacos, shrimp tacos and shrimp sopes, taco salad, the low cal basic salad, all the tortas, molé enchiladas, either cheese or chicken, and taco combos. Rice, beans, chips and salsa always wonderful. Chicken tacos light but filling. Extra shout out for the shrimp dishes - delicious and generous portions. Tres leches cake is shareable and tasty.The staff are helpful and friendly. It's a clean family establishment. Outdoor seating is a little oasis, just lovely. Or take your food to go and sit outside at the baylands.

The only reason this restaurant isn't a 4-star is because of the wait time. I ordered the Caldo de Res at 12:00pm. I got to the restaurant around 12:20pm. The cashier didn't even realize there was an online order for the beef soup. She asked the person in the back to make it. 20 minutes later my soup was ready. Very frustrating! 2 groups of people who came in after I did, were served before I was. Now on to the positive. I paid $19 before all the fees, taxes and tip, for a wonderful bowl of soup. It came with all the trimmings that you would expect: cilantro, onion, lime, tortilla [homemade - i can say homemade because the restaurant is in a converted house in East Palo Alto :)] rice and even chips and salsa. By the time I received my soup and drove back to the office, my lunch was over, so I didn't get to enjoy a bowl. However, I did cool off a piece of beef and it was amazingly tender and the broth was nice. Here's What I Think... I will go back and just order an hour ahead. Give at least their soup a try. I don't think you will be disappointed with the taste or price.

This was almost a perfect rating. I called the order in and the lady on the phone was really polite and sweet. I placed my order and headed to the restaurant. As soon as I walked in I knew I made the right choice. As a Mexican myself, I can say my people love color. If the Mexican restaurant you walk into is not colorful the food might not be authentic. When I walked in she was talking to another customer and again extremely nice and polite. When it was my turn the service continued and she thanked me for coming in and buying so they could have a job. Which is something we tend to forget, without customers, in any customer service job, you have no job. Once I got my food she asked me to check the food to make sure the order was correct so I wouldn't have to come back for anything. Everything was great and off I went. Now to the food. 3 tacos plate: I asked for 2 asada and 1 fish. The asada tacos were delicious but I do agree with previous reviews I would have liked more cilantro and cebolla. The red salsa was delicious and spicy! The fish taco was a little bland unfortunately but I feel like that's just a fish thing. Rice and beans were homey Asada Nachos: my husband does not like tomatoes or any of the veggies on it so he got plain with only sour cream on them. The meat once again was good but unfortunately the cheese was not cheesy. My husband loves the cheese on the nachos but there was barely any. The beans and meat were great but more cheese would have made it perfect. All in all we definitely enjoyed our food and LOVED the service.

Stopped here while in Palo Alto for some tacos! I got the pollo (chicken) tacos, $3 each, $9 total not a bad deal. The ladies working here were friendly and the food was ready quickly! They have a small parking lot and street parking here. The tacos were tasty, pretty standard chicken tacos. The salsa was great I preferred the red salsa here! The line was orange which I haven't previously seen before but tasted just like any other lime! They also give you complimentary chips too. It's a cute little spot, I wish I would have taken a picture but they had a nice garden outside! Definitely check them out.

Always delicious and quick and friendly service. Love the complimentary chips and fresh salsa! The steak burrito was perfect with side of hot sauce. Steak was seasoned perfectly and moist. Love this place. Perfect weather to sit and enjoy the meal outside in their outdoor seating area. Umbrellas provide nice shade!

Spent $25 dollars on the Carne Asada Plate. Honestly pretty easy to eat, very tasty but maybe not worth the price. There are other decent Mexican restaurants that I'd go to if I wanted better value or tastier food but this was tasty in a pinch.
