Taqueria El Jarocho

This is my FAVE taco spot on the peninsula. I dont care where I am in the Bay, I will bust a mission here every time cuz these tacos SCHMAACCCKKKKK. Don't let the exterior fool you - this is a hidden gem of a taqueria. - The meat is always marinated/grilled to perfection, tortillas are never dry, everything is just super flavorful and bomb. - The drive-thru line can sometimes get long around lunch and dinner times but this is worth it. - And honestly, it's well-priced compared to other taco spots in the bay. - My fave tacos are the al pastor, carne asada, and pollo but my friends who've gotten chorizo & other type of meats have had nothing but good things to say too. The horchata and agua fresca is a must too!- I've had nachos and burritos from here too but the tacos are what I stannddd byyyy!

Unfortunately the last visit left a sour taste in my mouth. I ordered a Carne Asada super burrito with everything, but once I bit into it, I found out it was carnitas. Ok, maybe I didn't pronunciate. I love carnitas anyway.HOWEVER, I think they were ttying to get rid of carnitas that they had overcooked. I hope it shows clearly in the photo. It's very disappointing that they would serve this to anyone. If it hadn't been raining hard that day, I would have driven back to return it.Here's What I Think... I gave them a 3-star from past performance. It will be a while before I ever go back.

We stopped by here after recommendations from some friends. The drive thru may be hard to find if it's your first time! We drove up, confused if we were at the right window. We ordered 2 burritos: carne asada and chicken. Each regular burrito was about $10. The regular chicken burrito was delicious! Their salsa has a good kick to it and the combination of rice and beans was moist. The carne asada burrito is one you should skip. The meat was so dry... almost inedible. My friend said their carnitas burrito was almost as good as their chicken burrito. Let them know ahead of time if you plan to eat there vs take it to go. They were a bit annoyed that we wanted to stay to eat.... Overall, a good spot for my Mexican food fix.

Yeah I don't know what I was expecting but I didn't expect this place to be a drive through for some reason.We came late afternoon last Friday and I was surprised at how small the taqueria was! It's a small kitchen with a drive through so we pulled up and ordered a cabeza burrito and super fries topped with lengua.The burrito was loaded with rice and there was cabeza but not a lot of it. As for the super fries, the fries were really soggy like they weren't fully crisped up before they loaded the toppings on but it was also just swimming in juices. The flavor of it was decent though!Overall i'll probably order something else when we come back. The service was really friendly and efficient so I'll probably swing by again if i need something quick.

Life changing innovation here -- drive through Taqueria. We ordered four Tacos and requested them extra crispy. The Tacos are loaded with meat and they are extra crispy. Chef and cashier is super chill and down to earth. We will be eating here a lot. I just wish they offer Tripa. They do have Buche.

I am a regular taco Tuesday customer and their tacos are delicious. I highly recommend the steak quesadilla bc it's huge and very filling also the wet burrito. However I do not recommend the meaty fries ordered once and it was too runny for me. Also very friendly workers

The food is not.great to start with. I just needed a drive thru.I ordered a quesadilla. Once I got home I saw that it was a burrito. The situation could have been easily fixed, if they understood "customer service".When I called them, they stated it was MY fault because she supposedly confirmed the burrito with me. Nope. Did not happen. Then I had to go back with the burrito to exchange it for a quesadilla. Not once was there an apology.

El servicio es malo, pedí una quesadilla con tripa sin ensalada y sin picante y me dio todo lo opuesto, sin proteína con ensalada y picante Muy triste que atiendan por atenderNo les importa el servicio al cliente

Food here is spotty and inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, but most of the time it's subpar. Got a couple burritos a while ago and my wife said hers tasted like dish soap. That sucked because we were already home and we couldn't go back and tell them. Last time we called them that they got our order wrong they gave us attitude about it. Terrible customer service. Anyways, I just got a burrito today and now mine tasted like dish soap/cleaning supplies. Inedible. Won't be coming back. It's hit and miss, but in our experience, a lot more miss than hit.

Definitivamente no la recomiendo.... El viernes pasado compré tacos y venían con pelos. La carne no sabía fresca, su sabor era como carne de días y calentada en microondas. Se mira muy sucio pero sucio el lugar. No vuelvo a comprar nunca más.
