One of the few places where I find the Tom Yum Noodle Soup filling enough for a main dish. I love the amount of seafood, meat, and noodles provided. Prepare to spend $18-$20 on an item but its one of the most reliable Thai spots in the peninsula I can find. The noodles are saucy and flavorful, never too dry or too wet. It gets pretty busy on weekends if I recall; I went on a Tuesday evening and no wait for parties of 2-4

This is one of my favorite Thai food spots in the Bay Area and I love the food every time. It's located in a small plaza next to the trail overlooking the water and San Mateo Bridge, and plenty of parking available. Food comes out quick and I love the decorations inside the restaurant, especially the comfy cushioned seats. Items ordered: - Pumpkin curry with chicken: Tried this curry dish for the first time and I was surprised by how much I liked it! I usually get yellow curry which is a staple, but this might be a new go to dish for me. Plenty of pumpkin in the dish and the curry flavor had an amazing flavor. - Pad see ew with beef: Can never go wrong with pad see ew. I like how their dish is not very greasy and has a unique flavor compared to other versions of this dish. - Tom yum goong: I get this soup every time and it hits the spot! The blend of spices is absolutely perfect and includes lemongrass and khaffir leaves. 11/10 and definitely recommend trying this place out!

Wanted to come by and try more local Thai places near Foster City. It was located along the trail in a quaint shopping center. The ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and fun. Our server was so friendly and helpful with assisting my family and surprising my cousin for her birthday! We appreciated her help! The food was good! Compared to many Thai places, the Beef Noodle soup tends to be a larger portion size, but the soup here is not too much and was enough for my appetite! Not pictured, we also ordered the samosas and had Thai teas. All was good and would definitely recommend!

I went with my friends as we were craving Thai food nearby in the Bay area. The service was fast as our appetizers and food came out one by one. As for the inside, there was plenty of seating and the decorations were cute. Pineapple fried rice - It was good and flavorful! I really liked the texture of the rice with the pineapple. We had it with shrimp which added some savory taste to it. Pad see ew - The pad see ew was okay as it tasted a bit bland, and the noodles were not too chewy. It could be better with the flavor. Pad thai - The pad thai was good! It had a nice blend of sweet and savory taste to it. I really liked the texture of the noodles too.Pad kee mao - It was okay as I would have liked some more spice to it and did not taste as flavorful.

Back in the bay area so made our way to Foster City and to Sweet Basil as part of a trip down memory lane. It still delivers! It closes a bit easier than posted on Yelp. The last hour of the day is just for to go orders. But they were very accommodating and let us sit outside.Chicken satay. Green curry with chicken. Jasmine tea. All great. I'm surprised at how little their menu has changed. I first came here 20 years ago, when they were at a different location in the same strip center. Same menu then as now. And I love their menu as much now as I did 20 years ago. It's a testimony to how timeless and wonderful the food is that they don't have to change it to stay relevant and draw in the crowds. They do Thai right, and they do it consistently. Love this place!

This is the second time I've been here. My husband and his friend have come here for lunch several times before. The crispy spring roll is good. This time, however, we tried the shrimp roll appetizer and really liked it. My husband and friend ordered Thai iced tea. I ordered the coconut water last time and wasn't happy with it as It didn't taste like coconut water. So, I just had regular water this time around. We always order the duck fried rice. We also ordered the chicken vindaloo curry. All of the dishes were delicious and were just the right amount of food for the three of us. The service is good. Water is left at the table so you can refill your water glasses when needed. Parking is easy.

We decided to try this place instead of our usual favorite, which is really the only other Thai place in the city and boy was I disappointed. Maybe this place was good at one point but I certainly was not impressed at all. We first got the tom yum noodle soup, which wasn't too bad but it didn't have a very strong tom yum flavor to it and actually had a strong profile of fish sauce more than anything. Next up was the shrimp pad thai which was not bad either, had a bit of a sweeter profile which I was okay with. Honestly if we had just stopped there, I would've given this place a 3/5. But we also ordered the pad kra pow and that was when I was shocked. It came in slices of meat. I asked if we had ordered the right thing because it was nothing like that I had ever seen prepared like before. The waiter confirmed and said that if we wanted minced/ground meat, we needed to tell them in advance. Never in my experience eating Thai food in the states or even Thailand had I had to ask for minced/ground meat for pad kra pow. I was willing to look past this if this dish was good, but not only did I think this was incorrectly prepared but also lackluster. It tasted like a Thai-esque stir fry of meat, onions, peppers, and some basil. Overall, I can't say that I would recommend anyone here or want to come back. :c
