My husband's 50th birthday here at Sushi and more Alameda!! We love, love, love the food - especially the calamari, karaage, Bay Scallop roll, chicken katsu, Deep fried California roll, and Lion King roll. MK and his staff are so amazing and welcoming. The place is cozy, best for intimate gatherings. All our friends enjoyed the good food and drinks. The restaurant is super clean and modern.

Same great sushi and service, my comment about the atmosphere has changed though. They updated this gem quite a bit. Nicer tables and added some murals. Nice work.The menu has expanded a bit too. New appetizers as well.All changes for the better!I'm not the only one noticing, this place is a revolving door for take out.But we like to get out of the house, so we'll keep dining in.

There was minor confusion with the reservation but that didn't really matter since we were the only ones there and we showed up when they opened up. It seems the restaurant doesn't get the reservations made through yelp. We had a party of 8 and service was polite and speedy. The chicken katsu was super moist. The sauce could have used some more flavor. The bento boxes are where it's at. So much food for a good price. And the poke tower is instagram worthy! But I was enjoying everyones company, so didn't get a chance to take any pics. Worth visiting again!

This is my family's favorite sushi restaurant in the area. We always get the beef (rib eye) bento box. The beef is always cooked right and its never over cooked! I really appreciate that!My elderly parents really like their chicken udon. They like flavor of the broth and the chicken is cooked to their liking.You cant go wrong with their chirashi, hamachi sashimi or their salmon sashimi. Any one of them is delicious! All are served with miso soup and salad.We have also tried their baked lion king roll, baked bay scallop roll and double hamachi roll and all three are excellent choices. Majority of their stuff is served in to-go boxes. Nothing wrong with that but apparently they are very a popular spot for to-go Japanese food.It's crazy but they also serve boba drinks.The servers are all very nice and welcoming. We haven't had any bad services here and we will continue to visit!

Best sushi in alameda! Super fresh and super yum! Tried the hamachi sashimi today. Great keto option! Served with soup and salad. All delicious!

What a pleasant surprise! The inside is very welcoming and relaxing, with soft music and pictures of beautiful destinations. I ordered the chirashi, which was absolutely fantastic. Every different type of fish tasted delicious and fresh, and even the wasabi and ginger were noticeably good quality. My daughter got a hand roll that was packed with delicious salmon, and the double salmon roll which she said was the best she's ever had. Everything came out very quickly, and the waiter was very attentive. A fantastic sushi experience! We will definitely be returning.

Do not be fooled by their name which doesn't sound too fancy-- this is the best sushi in alameda and the owners are super sweet. My family orders from here so much that they know us and often give us free gyoza :) They have the best selection and the most generous portions. Whenever we come here we order a bunch of the chirashi because it is SO FREAKING GOOD. The hamachi kama is also great if you don't want to just eat raw fish. All of their rolls we've tried are amazing--we've tried the Caterpillar, Double Hamachi, Double Salmon, Rainbow, and probably others im forgetting. They're good because they're not stuffed with rice and overpowered by super salty and sweet sauces. They know how to pack in the fish and let those flavors speak for themselves.

I come here regularly when visiting family. The Bentos are always a great option if you're feeling extra hungry otherwise the EZ bowls are filling lunch as well. The EZ Bowls are great since they come with a perfectly crispy, croquette, -like a giant hash brown chock full of potato. Good amount of salmon and beef with the teriyaki options with enough for leftovers. The double Hamachi roll was great too with large pieces of fish in the roll and on top. The inside of the restaurant is very clean as well and pretty modern since they updated recently.Parking can be tough as always on Park Street, but otherwise solid place for lunch, dinner or takeout.

Really enjoyed my poke tower and my husband's salad (came with his beef teriyaki bento box). Cool that they have boba here too.
