Suda

My friend recommended Suda and I'm so glad she did. This has easily become one of my favorite spots. They are child friendly which as a new mom I very much appreciate. They have a kids menu, high chairs and a changing table. The food is consistently amazing. The hummus and queso are perfect for sharing. My favorite dish is the short rib pasta. It's warm and delicious and packs a little spice. I could drink the Suda 75 all night!

3 bad experiences in a row. I am a local and this used to be one of our favorite and regular places. Sadly, now Suda is a NO-GO! 1) We waited for a table for 30 mins when there were at least 10 tables open. 'We are under staffed', they said. We were understanding and just wanted to sit, knowing we would not get serviced for a while...they refused. When we were seated it took us 40 mins to get our food after ordering.2) We ordered through their on line company and the order was wrong and fish was inedible, had gone bad. We drove to the restaurant, showed them our order and the fish. The refused to speak to us about it because we ordered it online (as we were required to do).3) We went to the restaurant and wanted a to go order. They said we are busy and you need to wait in the bar. We waited 15 mins and then were told they could not sell us any food for a to go order.FAIL, FAIL, AND FAIL!So sad that this neighborhood restaurant has gone so far downhill. Save yourself the aggravations and do NOT go to this restaurant!

Cute spot! Great food, good ambiance and good service! A must try if you're in the area!

Been here twice for lunch and dinner. The staff have been very nice and helpful both times. I tried their blta which was delicious and suda burger which was also very good. I tried one of their mock tails, I believe it was the point break refresher, which was very good. Both, the inside and the outside, are very pretty. I definitely enjoyed sitting outdoors as it was a beautiful day! There is some parking in the back, and although limited, I did not have an issue with finding parking. I can't wait to try more things!

Arrived with a large group of 6 on a Sunday for lunch. We did have a reservation already made, the only thing they failed to tell us was that it would be directly in the sun...Our drinks kept melting so quickly, as did the water every time we asked for more. Unfortunately I think that's falls on the host bc she seemed a little lost and a bit unfriendly. Our server on the other hand was really quick, nice, and trying to accommodate us as best as she could. Drinks and appetizers came out quick, entrees as well. Food was all delicious and quick service. Thanks to the chefs! Check them out.

Tried again take out and it was the Caesar kale salad this time. So damn inconsistent. Dressing was watery and literally tasted like a peppery fruit salad dressing. Don't take here. Always better going in. At least you can complain if needed

Just average in my opinion, but willing to give it another try. Many people like the outdoor seating and the ambiance.

Came for lunch on a Thursday (was originally thinking of a late brunch, but their brunch is only Friday - Sunday!!) All is good though since I still got a cold brew martini so it had the essence of a brunch. It was not busy at all when we came around 1:00pm and we chose to sit outside. The cold brew martini was delicious, super creamy. Only thing was that it must have spilled onto the glass when they poured it as the glass was dripping with martini! But it's alright, nothing a napkin couldn't fix. The carnitas tacos were pretty good, carnitas were flavorful and soft. The food wasn't too heavy and I thoroughly enjoyed my selection. I would order the tacos again if I returned. The service was good, staff were attentive and quick to clear plates and bring out food. Hopefully I'll be able to return friday - sunday to try their brunch and maybe even bottomless mimosas on a friday!!

Overall a perfectly excellent experience, Showed up at 7, sat right away outside (our request bc we had kids), nice ambiance, good music, very quick to initial service. Food came quickly and was very good for the price. My wife and I both got carnitas tacos - very generous with the protein and great flavor/texture overall. Drinks were good. Nothing to dislike. Bang bang - would recommend

A friend recommended this restaurant for dinner last night, so we were delighted to find that when we arrived that the restaurant around 7:45pm the place was busy and had a lively fun atmosphere. We waited about 15 minutes for an inside table. We started with the mango ceviche appetizer and it was pretty good with a nice blend of flavors. When our main courses arrived, things went down hill fast. My girlfriend ordered the Suda Bowl with Salmon as the protein add-on ($31) It's described as a quinoa and rice bowl with seasonal veggies and korma sauce, which is type of curry based sauce. It arrived on a plate, not a bowl, and it was essentially a very small amount of rice, quinoa, and veggies, which were completely drowned and smothered in the Korma Sauce ... an oversalted plate of mush. To make it worse, the option piece of salmon on top looked cooked on the outside, but was nearly raw on the inside. My wife found it inedible and sent it back to the kitchen to be cooked more thoroughly. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos described as beer battered with napa cabbage slaw, salsa verde, and chipotle aioli. The plate of 3 tacos arrived with a small slice of lemon. The looked attractive, but taste was surprisingly bland and devoid of flavor. I was really hungry and devoured 2 of them quickly, wondering if my taste buds were on strike. Seriously no flavor at all, just totally bland. I gave my girlfriend the 3rd taco while she was waiting for her Suda Bowl do-over to come back from the kitchen. She agreed that they were nearly completely flavorless. The most bland flavorless deep fried fish tacos ever ! Something was seriously wrong in the kitchen last night, I can only imagine that the usual chef was not there last night, or maybe something else is going on, since some of the recent reviews say something has changed with the food here. The service also left a lot to be desired and it was very difficult to get the attention of our waitress. It appeared to me that the 2 servers were over-extended in trying to cover more tables than they could effectively handle. All in all, we expected much much better of Suda ... and ended up sadly disappointed by a very uninspiring dining experience.
