SoGongDong Tofu Town

Love this place! It's located inside the HMart so parking is sometimes hectic and hard to find, but worth the struggle. I usually get the ramen soon tofu and my wife gets the rice cakes. The service is quick and friendly, you just go to the counter to order and they call your name or number when the food is ready. We got our food to-go last time and it was packed so well! The food stayed hot during our 20-30 minute drive back home. It's in the back corner of HMart kinda by the freezer section so it can get cold but the spice of the food will warm you right up. There's usually plenty of seating and you bus your own trays and put them on the racks when you're done. Overall, this place is great and perfect for when we want quick but hearty Korean eats.

This is in the cafeteria of H-Mart. I ordered the bibimbop and it was pretty good! Not perfect but I thought it did enough. It was ok value for a hot plate meal as well. Good service and the eating area was well designed and clean on a Saturday afternoon. Worth trying if all the restaurants in the shopping center are closed or if you are in the market and hungry.

SoGongDong is in the HMart market, as we actually were looking for a restaurant front. Overall this place is nooiice sitting inside the store, conveniently w/ hungry shopping patrons walking around. Order and pay at the kiosk, as we discovered, a majority of San Jo establishments are using this method of ordering/paying... You pick up your order when they call your number and bust your own tables after your meal. The kindly lady and cooks in the back know all the Korean recipes and secrets, as the food is comparable to any sit down type tofu house. Love that the main entrees come w/ a basic diakon soup, some panchan, and purple rice. By in large, a smart choice for food w/delicious dishes to match and grocery shopping after. You forget you're siting in a grocery store, but we always have a good time at Hmart! Lol Parking lot parking is scarce on Sat afternoon, but doable...prices are about the same, it ain't cheap but it's good!

This place is inside Hmart. But the food is as good as SGD Tofu House! The spicy pork bulgogi is very satisfying as is the combination tofu stew. I ordered online -- which told me it could take 30min for my food to be ready but thankfully it was ready in 15-20min. Very good food. Will do more takeout here.

So this place is in a grocery store but the food is really good. We had the rice with beef and it was superb. The ambiance is not good heck it's in a super market but the freshness of the food and quick service makes up for it. Lots of people are eating grocery bought items but it's a fine experience.

Yum.. yum.. yum! It is fresh and tasty! The service is always friendly and fast and will drive an hour to come here.

LOVED their bimbimbap!! I love it so much I haven't stopped thinking of it since last Friday! I hope to come back here with hubby and kids so they can all try it! It was early when we came so there wasn't a lot of people and the wait was pretty short. The place is clean and neat. There were cooked food for sale on a table at the end of the dining area. Lunching before, during, or after shopping (this place is located inside H Mart) is just perfect!

Soon Tofu always hits the spot for me. So when it comes to soon tofu, do not discredit Sogongdong Tofu Town because it's located inside the Cupertino H-Mart. It's actually quite delicious and solid. Located in the back left of H-Mart, it sits towards the back of the food court inside this abbreviated sized H-Mart. It offers up classic Korean staples, including soon tofu, sizzling beef plates, bibimbap, and tasty ban chan galore. My wife ordered their bibimbap and I ordered the soon tofu. While the ban chan was limited (I believe we were only provided 3), it was unlimited--all you have to do is go up and ask. The bibimbap and the soon tofu both came with purple rice, but unfortunately they put the piping hot rice in a plastic container to give to you (not a fan of anything plastic when it comes to my food, actually). Still, the flavors are what you would come to expect from a place that offers classic Korean staples and the flavors did not disappoint. While we probably wont visit Sogongdong Tofu Town again, it's more because there are just so many good options all around and the Cupertino H-Mart is a bit far for us. But the food was definitely comfortingly tasty.

I got the chicken bibimbap on a sizzling plate and it was fantastic and huge - good for sharing! Next time I'd opt in for the non sizzling plate version (also less expensive). It comes with some tofu strips which were good! It was much larger than the tofu soup (photo for comparison) and around the same price. Service was pretty fast - they have your order ready by the cashier and you pick it up and bring the hot plate to your table. Not considering the price, I'd give a three star, as the food is mediocre (although, the seafood ramen only has one shrimp in there)Considering the price, even one star is a compliment.For Korean food, you are much better off going to gogo7 in San Francisco.
