Huge pizzas! Awesome for game days and parties. One order is plenty for a group of 6.This location is a ghost kitchen.

Slice of Homage had been on my bookmarks for a long long time ever since I came across them on the Bay Area Top 100 list from 2022. I've had Detroit Pizza before and I must say I'm a fan! Given they were just in San Jose, I never really got a chance to try them over the last couple of years. Until they opened this pop up cloud kitchen in Sunnyvale! We had a party at our place so we had quite a decent crowd and needed a lot of pizza. Given the crowd had a fair few vegetarians, we decided to stay fully vegetarian, and to get some variety - ordered two of the Detroit Pizza's - the Margherita and the Greek, and one of the Sicilian - the Veggie on Evelyn (not on their original San Jose menu I believe). Friendly person taking the order on the phone - helped out with suggestions! It took around 30-35 minutes and was ready when I arrived. The Detroit Pizza was a HUGE hit, especially the Margherita. People (including me) loved the Detroit style pizza - many knew about Chicago style deep dish but not the Detroit style. So they were pleasantly surprised. The excess sauce/cheese went along just great, and the fact that it was simple in terms of the number of toppings (Margherita) allowed us to enjoy its flavor profile more. The Greek was a little salty because of the feta cheese I personally felt but still good overall. Personally, I wasn't as high on the Sicilian as after having the Detroit style Pizza probably because it was loaded in terms of toppings (lots of veggies). But the group enjoyed that as well and I must say we almost finished up all the Pizza. I'm not sure if the Pizza is cooked in Sunnyvale or in San Jose. But I know for sure I'll be getting more slice of homage soon. I hope they can open up an actual restaurant closer to where I am! I would rate it 4.5, but reducing it to 4 because I didn't enjoy the Sicilian as much, and I felt maybe it was slightly overpriced.

Ghost kitchen for SOH. You can only order full pies, no slices at this location. It's nice, quick and easy. We also got the honey wings, but they came out kind burnt. Regardless this pizza is delicious. Tried both the Detroit's style which is my fave and the thin crust. The thin crust is nice, thin, & crispy which is what I like. The Detroit unfortunately couldn't get a slice bc a whole pizza would fill me up so fast! This is the type of pizza and wings you get on a night you wanna indulge in greasy, delicious pizza !

Seems like Detroit style pizza had a moment during covid. I somehow missed all of this . So a friend and I noticed this new ghost kitchen pop up near where we were having coffee and decided to get a snack. Lo and behold SOH Pizza which was on my radar for a while is there. A lot closer than headito San Jose. Got the redhead Detroit mini and it was solid.would certainly do it again if i were in the area. The only drawback is it's a takeout or delivery only bc of the ghost kitchen space. 4.5 stars

TLDR: Still great tasting Detroit pizza! Delivery/Takeout only. It's in one of those multi-kitchen stores... Doesn't say SoH anywhere... I forgot what it says, but it's something like GrubHub or DoorDash... Anyway, you go in, and there's a window on the left... That's where the pizza place is. No sit-down, just take your pizza and go.I have always loved Slice of Homage, and I am happy they have a place in Sunnyvale... parking is certainly easier than downtown. I specifically bought a pizza stone, because I knew I wouldn't be eating the pizza right away. So I got the Detroit pizza, because I think it's the best type around... half-way between a regular pizza and a Chicago Style. The dough is very crunchy and tasty... almost like a french bread. The toppings are full, and a LOT of yummy tomato sauce. I kinda feel for $50, the portion is a bit on the small side. We had 5 people, and it wasn't enough... there were still a couple people still hungry. But if you're looking for a tasty Detroit-style pizza, this is still the best place, no matter what the price.

This is the best pizza on the peninsula, had the Detroit versus everybody, it's really good. The ny pepperoni is the best ny style I've had since been on the east coast. I recommend putting it in the oven for 5 minutes then it comes out perfect. 5 out 5

ghost kitchen, can be open late if you get the order in. expensive, thick, greasy, crispy, and salty but can still be enjoyable for a Detroit though heavy crust ratio, overloaded with toppings. cardboard crust pizza cheaper but a bit too burnt.

Probably my favorite pizza place in the bay. Price is on the steep side, but you are paying for quality pizza. There are only 2 types of pizza you should be buying from here which is Detroit or Sicilian style pizza. Detroit have thicker crust, while Sicilian have medium crust. I prefer the Sicilian crust style pizza more since it has a balance ratio of crust, cheese and toppings. Take out only, hopefully they stay so I can treat myself and my sidekick once a month on their delicious pizza.

Pizza is good although for $50 it's pretty steep. This is more a review of the ordering process which makes no sense. Once you place the order you get a confirmation text with a link to track your order. I get there during the 10min window of my selected pickup time. Check the status on the webpage and it says it'll be ready in 5 minutes. After 5 minutes no text so I check the webpage again and it'll be ready in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting in the parking lot I go in to find out what's going on and the tell me I need check in when I get here to find out if my order is ready. Why wouldn't they just text you when you're order is ready?!? So pizza had been sitting there for 20 minutes at least.

We've always bought at the San Jose location but they said they were closing for Christmas Eve and directed us to their Evelyn Ave store. Turns out that it's not Slice of Homage Pizza only but appears to be a multi business kitchen in what looks to be a warehouse. There was NO ONE at the front desk, somehow you sign in with your phone, which we never figured out how to do, and none of the Uber Eats drivers were helpful. When we went outside and looked thru the window next to the lobby we could see our order on a screen that said it was done so we went back in and leaned thru the window and yelled and got a woman who didn't speak English but she was kind enough to go get someone who did and that brought the guys is Slice of Homage shirts and we were told they'd bring our pizzas up front. All in all, the pizzas were as good as the San Jose location but the pick up/delivery set up is very confusing. The Uber Eats guys use their phones to check in and a locker door opens for their delivery order. Pizza boxes won't fit in the lockers so they need someone at the front window that can communicate with patrons about pick ups. It could have been purely a staffing issue on Christmas Eve, IDK.
