They not only specialize in noodles, but they also offer a variety of skewers in this place. They are very tasty and the quality is the same every time we order. We enjoy their atmosphere and the service is welcoming too .It is THE place we go to for the holidays, or if we have out of town visitors.

Awesome food. We had the pork and crab soup dumplings, egg custard buns and sweet garlic eggplant. All of them were piping hot. The server was polite although very busy. They gave us fork and spoons because we asked for them. The place looks beautiful. Women's bathroom looks beautiful. The towel dispenser and soap dispenser were broken.

Really fun spot! Love the decor, atmosphere, and that they're open late. This was one of the only spots open late one night after we were out. Stopped in here around 11:30pm and it was very busy. The decor makes it feel like you're somewhere else. I loved it! The scan a QR code for the menu and order through your phone. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have a decent variety of food. We ordered a few items and all were very good. We came here a second time and it wasn't as good but we did order a couple different dishes. The wait staff want as helpful this time but I think we'd still come back to try again.

If you're looking for a place where the food is so good you're willing to battle for table space, The Special Noodle is the spot! We came hungry and ready to feast, ordering an impressive spread: chicken chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper chicken, lamb stew, General Tso's chicken, snowflake dumplings with mushroom chicken and green onions, wok-fried green beans, steamed soup dumplings, and shrimp fried rice. Basically, we took "ordering a little bit of everything" to a whole new level. Now, let's talk about the seating situation. The restaurant tried to squeeze us into a table so small that balancing all our plates would've been an Olympic sport. After some negotiations (aka, our waitress realizing that stacking plates like a Jenga tower wasn't an option), they moved us to the larger table we had originally requested--victory!But on to the best part: the FOOD. Everything was chef's kiss--seasoned to perfection, cooked with care, and absolutely delicious. While every dish brought something special, the standout stars were the General Tso's chicken, the wok-fried green beans (seriously, who knew green beans could be this good?!), the snowflake dumplings (pure magic), and the chicken chow mein, which disappeared faster than we could say "pass the chopsticks."Despite the minor seating hiccup and a waitress who seemed less than thrilled about our enthusiastic ordering, the service was solid, and the food more than made up for it. Would we return? Absolutely. Next time, though, we're claiming the right-sized table from the start--because when the food is this good, it deserves to be enjoyed with plenty of elbow room.

This location of Special Noodle is open late! OMG, they open until 2am, and last call is at 1:30am. The parking lot is fairly large. Wow...it's really decked out in neon lights inside and outside. Mostly, inside seating, but i did see a table outside. Our server was Winnie. She was friendly, polite, and attentive (5/5). You order either via QR code or maybe through your server. We did the QR code route.Beef Wrap - beef sirloin or shank with lettuce, cilantro, housing sauce wrapped in a warm pancake.Pork Soup Pan Fried Buns (6) - crispy bottom, and the filling had a little bit of soup.

Have heard about the 四姐 franchises for ages, first time trying this Special Noodle location. Fun urban, Chinese nightlife-themed decor.Exceptional service-- the staff are impressively efficient and professional. Dirty dishes and empty glasses were taken care of nearly instantly. Our orders came out within minutes.CREAMY CORN KERNELS: Popping boba on this... Is so questionable... But the sparkler was fun. Still good, a bit too sweet for me.PRAWN CHOW FUN: As expected! A safe choice for me. Good amount of prawn to noodle.CHINESE CELERY W/DRIED BEANCURD: Fire. Perfectly spicy and fresh. IMO still a solid choice for eats, though I think you're mostly paying for the presentation and setting.

Food comes out fast and delicious! On a chilly, rainy evening, everything else was closed, but Special Noodle was open. The interior vibe is fun and casual, with a playful nod to a night market. Very cool. Loved the whimsical decor, and don't miss the men's bathroom--Shin Chan on the wall is hilarious. We ordered:Spicy Beef Noodle Soup: Came out quickly and was amazing. The broth was rich, spicy (but perfectly so), and full of flavor. Tender beef and incredible noodles. You can even choose your noodle type--loved that. Must-order, but only if you can tolerate spiciness.Dan Dan Noodles: A solid choice. Flavorful and satisfying, with beautiful mix of noodles, sauce, and veggies.Soup Dumplings: Perfectly executed. I only wish they had large spoons or a dish for dipping--something to slurp the broth with vinegar and soy sauce. But even without, they were excellent. Must-order of course!Eggplant: Wow. Perfectly cooked--soft and flavorful inside while holding its shape outside. Gorgeous deep purple color. A must-order.Skewers: We tried lamb (juicy, tender, and full of flavor) and chicken hearts (spicy and perfectly cooked). Both were excellent add-ons. You cannot go wrong tossing in some skewers to share.Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings: Loved the fun combination of crispy fried exterior with the soupy interior. My only small complaint was the limited alcohol options--mostly just generic beer. We ended up with an overpriced Tsingtao, which was fine, but cocktails or other options would have elevated the experience. They're open until 2am--it astounds me a bit how food this fast and delicious is available this late. Special Noodle is probably now near the top of my short list for late-night eats in the East Bay. It's the perfect spot for noodles, dumplings, skewers, and more. Highly recommended!
