I was lucky enough to try Scoops at a San Jose Spiders Ultimate game. The Mango flavor was fantastic: it had such nice thick chunks of mango fruit blended perfectly into the creamy ice cream. Their Macapuno (young coconut) flavor was also outstanding, I'd never tried anything like it. Usually coconut flavors are overwhelming with their nutty flavor, but the ice cream was smooth and delicate, and the little bits flavor of fresh young coconut in it were like flavor explosions, reminding you that it was indeed a coconut ice cream. Fresh waffle cone is also a must. Definitely worth trying!Bottom line: on a hot summer day, if you can find Scoops then a scoop of their ice cream is the best way to beat the heat.

So we stopped by on good friday as they were close by an wanted to taste what all the hype was over.We ordered 2 cups $3/each - one full cup of dreamy chocolate and the other cup was mint cookie and salted caramel.Dreamy chocolate was decadent and yummy - mix that with salted caramel and it was even better together!Mint cookie is just good, I still like mint chip better. They have 10 flavors at all time, I really wanted ube taro ice cream but it wasn't on the menu. Hubby wanted macapuno - young coconut which was on the menu but they didn't have any left. Disappointing :( they should have crossed it off the menu...I sampled 5 or so before deciding. The gentleman serving was nice, low key and allowed tiny samples of most of his ice cream (tiny is truly tiny) - not enough to truly savor the flavor like when you go to 31 baskin robins or Ben and Jerry's. I wouldn't search for this truck but if it was around and I happen to be close by, I may decide to taste other flavors.

No remorse after my 5 mile run at the gym. Salty Caramel / Chocolate Dream. To die for; creamy, rich, and thick. If only they offer sugar-free and fat-free selections. I was in heaven Friday night though. Winning!

The World According to NoelleAllergic Girl's Guide to LifeScoops SJ Ice Cream Truck is a great new addition to the "Food Truck Scene" in San Jose. When I heard they were coming to South San Jose- I knew I just had to try them. After dinner at home, the hubby and I headed out to meet up with the Scoops SJ Ice Cream Truck. We sampled- Macapuno, Pumpkin, Birthday Cake and Salted Caramel. The hubs got a scoop of Birthday Cake. I got a scoop of Salted Caramel. All the flavors we tried were absolutely sweet and creamy- all the while staying true to their flavors. Customer service was friendly and fast.I LOVE Scoops!!! Noelle's Notes$3 dollars a scoop/cup for gourmet ice cream is a steal!

i hadn't been here for a while, but today i tried these flavours:*pistachio crunch: rich and creamy, strong pistachio flavour with lots of pistachio nuts mixed in to give that extra crunch.*cookie dough: since i love cookies 'n cream, this one was just 1 better. essentially, it was cookies 'n cream (with the bits of oreo cookies mixed in), PLUS cookie dough (i'm going to guess chocolate chip cookie dough). so it was a creamy, decadent mix of two of my favourite cookies, in ice cream form.note: they now take credit cards!

First time I tried scoops was at the moveable feast in Milpitas. We had the pistachio almond ice cream and the ube ice cream. They were $3 a scoops and they give you a pretty big scoop too. I wasn't able to finish my ube scoop. I thought they were both decent.. Nothing really spectacular about it. The pistachio almond was definitely better than the ube.. I've had better ube ice cream elsewhere for cheaper too. I can't say I am a fan of this truck because I don't see myself choosing this place over my usual ice cream shops.

I secretly wanted to drive this truck back home to eat their ice cream in the comfort of my home. But nooooo, these ladies wouldn't leave the truck because they were so busy. Guess I won't get that item checked off my list. What i can check off is the fantastic flavors of ice cream they offered. I tried Ube and fruit loops ice cream...it tasted so gooooooood. If you tasted their ice cream, you would want to drive their truck home too!

Can't help to finish the cone in just a few bites. Many chocolate beans in Sunday Funday and almonds in pistachio.

Smooth refreshing texture - nice and creamy. Friendly service. I really appreciated their creativity with the flavor offerings,Delicious flavors sampled at Yelp's Mobile Mashup:*Frooty Loops - even better than Froot Loops cereal*Salted Caramel - I guess I was expecting it to taste similar to Starbucks caramel syrup or a salty See's Candies caramel (inside of the dark chocolate caramel rectangle), but it was butter pecan - like. Or...maybe the beers altered my taste buds and this is actually a super-duper awesome flavor and I am wrongly hating on it. Sorry!*Cotton Candy - yum! Tastes exactly like cotton candy...even better than the fluffy stuff because it's in ice cream form. Win!My favorite was Frooty Loops. I used to eat Froot Loops (and Apple Jacks) all the time for breakfast back in the day. The samples came on the cutest miniature cones. Portion control!
