Saltyard redefines the Power Lunch by way of affordability and efficiency: 3 courses for $25 feels like I hit the jackpot!Hold on, you're thinking, it's only $25?! the portion sizes MUST be miniscule.I hate (love) to break it to you, but it's actually a full size entree. Which if you look at their menu prices (go ahead, I'll wait) entrees range from $17.99 to $45.99 you can go basic by choosing pasta as your entree or pay the extra supplement and a steak for lunch. With the mixed green salad as a starter and a light orange sorbet as your palette cleanser, you are set for the rest of the day, head back into the office and tackle HR Cheryl's emails that been hounding you for a few days now. The ambiance can pass for date night with the dimly lit space and dark colors and they have a nice patio that could be really welcoming in the summertime. Allot enough time for parking in the area as downtown can be busy or park at the Highland Parking Garage on Lorton Ave.

Been seeing some amazing photos of food here. Couldn't wait to try. It was by reservation only, only to be very empty. Deciding on food options the menu was very small. Ambience was beautiful. My husband and I came in on date night, sadly the food was very mediocre and did not live up to the vibe. I was disappointed. Parking was only available across the way in a paid lot. Sadly, I will not be returning.

Had high expectations for this restaurant, had heard so much about it. It was quite bad. Terrible service and bad food. 1. I have a dairy allergy. The server was super confused, I had to keep double checking, he just wasn't sure what had dairy or not, even after checking with the kitchen?! 2. The beef carpaccio was watery and bland. The capers tasted bad. And then it had like a plateful of underdressed arugula on top, not sure why they had so much of it, it literally covered the entire plate, an inch high. 2. The Brussels sprouts were deep fried and underdressed again, less salt and no balsamic etc. Server didn't know if the aioli had dairy, so I couldn't try it. 3. The strip steak was the worst steak I've ever had. To start off, it was super sweet, not in a good way. The fries were fine, the vegetables were boiled and had no taste. 4. My friends said the dessert was great, I couldn't have any since they only had 1 sorbet dairy free option and nothing else I could have. 5. Moscow mule was good. 6. Restroom wasn't super clean, was smelly.

My sister and I had lunch around the holidays here because she was craving carpaccio. We shared the Parmesan Truffle Fries ($7.99), the Beet Salad ($12.99 - Beets with arugula, orange, roasted almonds, crumbled goat cheese and grainy mustard dressing) and the Carpaccio ($14.99 - paper thin sliced filet mignon with red onion, capers, Parmesan cheese, arugula, mustard, caper aioli + lemon). The food was okay but wasn't particularly spectacular. For some reason the color of the carpaccio reminded me of raw pork instead of beef, so I felt a bit weird eating it. The beet salad was pretty ordinary, nothing too special. Fries are fries, and you can't really go wrong with that! Overall this spot wasn't too memorable for me to want to come back.

SaltyardCame here the night before a conference while staying at a nearby hotel. I was looking for a good dinner spot and was very pleasantly surprised by how great their Ribeye (49.99) Prime grade grilled rib eye steak, garlic-herb mashed potatoes, assorted mixed veggies, and homemade steak sauce was. The steak was cooked perfectly and went really well with their homemade steak sauce. The workers were friendly and provided excellent service.Great place for a late night dinner

Came here with a large group and happy the could accommodate us and with a reservation in advance. We got seated right away. Everyone was friendly and prompt with our ordering and bringing food and drink out. We ordered a variety of drinks and food. The pomegranate martini was great and would recommend. It was well balanced and pretty. For appetizers we got the burrata and calamari. Both were delicious. I also tried the beet salad and sea bass/branzino for entree. The salad was great, wish there was a bit more goat cheese is all. The fish was cooked well and came with asparagus and potatoes. I enjoyed it all. The ribeye steak was ordered medium rare and was more medium when it came out. Still pretty good but would've been better if cooked as requested. We also tried the crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding dessert. The sticky toffee was great with the ice cream and would get again. The crème brûlée wasn't a hit and had a hint of lemon that we didn't love. Overall happy with everything

Came here to say 3 Saturdays ago in December for my niece's 22nd birthday. We were a party of 12. I loved the ambience - cozy, intimate, rustic, and lively all at the same time. The tables were arranged close to each other but it worked feeling together but still leaving space for each party. We had such a great time, chatting, laughing and eating while the staff waited on us. Our waiter was super and on point with everything - attentive but not over bearing. The food was awesome we all had different dishes & all were good - cioppino, ribeye, strip steak, chicken, seafood risotto, lamb, seafood fettuccine. Great place, great food & great ambience. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

Saltyard is a beautiful restaurant in downtown Burlingame with some patio seating and a large, high ceiling dining room. There is a full bar with modestly priced wine selections. The service is friendly and attentive.Having had a meal before, I only ordered the Brussels sprouts. WOW! So delicious! Yummy and crispy. The serving was so generous.DB ordered the risotto which was INSANELY DELICIOUS. It was rich and creamy and loaded with seafood, spinach and sundried tomatoes. I would definitely order it before. SIL ordered the crabcakes which were disappointingly fishy, so I would avoid those. It was an enjoyable meal with good service in a dark bistro. I would come again.

Excellent meal; had the lamb shank with risotto. Very tender and tasty. Good size portions and fast service. Service was fast but cold, staff didn't feel warm or great full for our business.

Here on a Friday night and it had a good lively ambience. So much so that my aging eyes have a little hard time reading the menu lol but we do. Looks like a Mediterranean menu and concise drinks menu but solid wine options! It was a long week so opted for a barrel aged old-fashioned.Appetizers:-Calamari - yes this is on a lot of menus, but this rendition was very good, hot and crispy! Absolutely recommend and would order just for myself and not to share in the future :)-Burrata salad - standard but also good-Kale quinoa salad - definitely light on the quinoa, and we weren't fans of the Thai chili vinaigrette, but that might just be personal preference. Didn't seem to fit the theme either?Entree:-Lamb shank - my first time seeing this dish come de-boned. It was lamb and sauce over risotto. Unfortunately the risotto was more like plain rice, without much flavor, so it was a very one-note lamb dish. Wish there were more of the little dots of fruit puree. -Branzino - this looked really good and my friend literally cleaned the plate so I assume it tasted really good too. She was too quick for me to try a bite!-Seafood linguini - did get a bite of this and it was chock full of fresh-tasting seafood, solid pasta texture, not-too-creamy sauce so not gonna weight you down. They may excel on seafood here Dessert:-Crème brûlée - a little runny but tasted fine-Toffee pudding - whew this was decadent but crowd favorite and we finished it (didn't finish the crème brûlée)
