I was in the mood for something asian, but not chinese, so I settled on this Thai place in the food court. (This was the 2nd longest line. The longest was the Japanese place.)Combo -1 (like Panda) - select noodles or rice- Spicy noodles, spicy chicken & fried fish (basa?)- 1.50 extra. I really liked the fish. I'd say it's a mild medium spicy. My mom's nose was running. Yummy combo. Yeah, we split it. But I only half of my half then she said she'd finish it later (she did). Also got a bottle of water. Under $16.Surprised the rating's so low. But I liked it. The containers were pretty filled as you can see with my pictures. Sunday was packed at this mall and the game was on (I tried not to look at the niner game- yeah, I'm a longtime niner fan.) Not many empty tables in the food court, either.

The curry chicken combo with curry noodles was soooo good. Teriyaki was mid. Chicken was a little too salty but very good. I enjoyed my meal.

Located in the great mall right next to Cinnabon. There was plenty of seating in the food court area , and my first time trying Thai food in a mall. The rice was alittle on the dry side but the sides were totally flavorful.Out of everything on my plate I could today eat the curry every day there was so much going on with every bite. The noodles were alittle too chewy for my preference.Service was ok, I did feel rushed me and my husband were the only ones there's hence the 3 stars Plenty of places to sit

Wanting quick Pad Thai while shopping at Great Mall, we made a stop at Ruby Thai Kitchen. I got the Pad Thai with tofu & eggplant and the bang bang chicken. Everything was really dry, after a couple bites, I started getting this odd plastic taste. All in all, we did not finish our meals.

A little disappointed to be honest. I used to love eating the Thai food in the Valleyfair food court and we thought this was possibly the same Thai food place but it's definitely not. They didn't have much of a large selection but we were so excited to eat there while on a rush anyway. I got chowmein, orange chicken, and beef + broccoli. It was good! But disappointing. It lacked full flavor, the food wasn't hot.. not even very warm at all, it was like luke warm? Not cold tho. Just kinda tasted bland and lightly warm, very forgettable too. It needs more flavor to be added in and I'm not sure why they don't serve it up hot? Serving up luke warm food almost seems like it should be a crime.. lol. It reminds me of food that has been sitting on a kitchen table all day and gets old, if that makes sense? Anyway won't be returning here and wouldn't recommend unless they make some major changes. Skippable.

The staff were extremely friendly and easy. Allowed me to try free samples and had a variety of foods and drinks avaliable. Food was hearty and flavorful, a good place if you're just looking to eat your fill. Super fast and overall a good experience and good food. My personal favorite being the fried shrimp!

I never write Yelp reviews, but I really feel like I had to for Ruby. If you've read through the other reviews, such as I have, you'd be understandably unimpressed with this restaurant. However, here are a couple of things people overwhelmingly opted out to mention. NOTE: they did not "forget." As I've just said, they CHOSE to neglect some information to relay to you. This, I am sure of, as I find it more difficult for someone to leave a negating and misleading review than an honest one. In all, they're really just disappointed by their own indecision to choose a place that satisfies their impossibly insane standards.Like, come on, you expected to eat at an AUTHENTIC Thai place in an average mall?? Be for real. These are the same people who will eat at Panda Express and most likely claim that their orange chicken is "some of the best." Airheads, really. Where is the hypocrisy in this?Anyway, for starters, no one ever said this was authentic Thai cuisine nor have I ever seen or heard of any mall having any type of "authentic" experience. If you're looking for this, it goes without question that you should seek an actual restaurant. In its simplest form, this place should be described as affordable take-out, at best. With that being said, one can expect the food to be like Panda Express -- quickly made, not too costly, and yes, a bit lacking in the authenticity department. For WHAT IT IS, I absolutely love Ruby Thai Kitchen. It's a quick bite, inexpensive, and offers various flavors, which I personally have thoroughly enjoyed every. single. time.I recommend the curry rice noodles as the one side; however, on those days where you want something less salty, balance it out by asking for half curry noodles and half white rice. Easy fix. Then, I usually ask for the spicy fish filet and mango chicken. If I'm really hungry, I'll add the thai basil beef.Menus vary by location, but whether I'm at Valley Fair or the Great Mall, I ALWAYS pick Ruby for when I need a shopping break. All in all, don't listen to the bad and most certainly PETTY reviews about this chain. It's so reliable and totally lovable. Just know what you want. (:Thanks for reading thus far. Have a great day, everyone.
