If Royal Feast was on the other side of El Camino or on Broadway, it would be packed with people. Food is consistent and delicious and the service is friendly. Prices are excellent for the quality and the servings are generous. You must try the Chong Qing fried chicken. The scallion pancakes come with a delicious eggplant garlic sauce reminiscent of baba ganoush, sooo good. The dumplings are super juicy, I recommend the pork and chive variety. I'm not sure, but I think they source their dumplings from Dumpling Empire. The tripe with cilantro is a favorite, the dry fried string bean is killer, and our kids love the (very) sweet and sour squirrel fish. I kind of wish the menu was more limited so the chef could focus on their strengths. I have had some dishes that missed the mark including the Couple's Delight and Jia Zia Mein. The Couple's Delight is particularly disappointing since it's mostly beef shank, with barely any tripe and no tendon at all.If you happen to be there for lunch on the weekend, they have a special menu with Northern style street foods like Chinese "burgers," tasty meats sandwiched in a flaky bun kind of like a gordita. Very good, small plates, really nice for families with kids.On weekdays they have lunch specials with entree, rice, and soup for $10-11. You cannot get a quality lunch for less in the area. It's a must try. If you like the food at Little Chengdu or Wonderful, you owe it to yourself to check out Royal Feast.

We might have ordered the wrong dish, but we weren't impressed with what we got. It also seems like the Yelp reservation system isn't very reliable, when we arrived, the server seemed confused but seated us anyway. The place is small, but we were seated comfortably. Overall, 3 stars.Only dish I can really talk about would be Fish Fillet with Garlic and Eggplant Clay PotGood, nothing special but it's not bad at all.

Our multi generation family came for lunch recently. We pre-ordered the 2 ducks for the 2 tables reserved.Parking was fairly easy before noon, restaurant is relatively spacious, ambiance is ok, nothing fancy. In addition to the ducks we ordered many dishes to share, we asked to make everything non-spicy but somehow the message didn't reach the chef...The best dishes were clearly the ducks, crispy skin with lots of moist meat that everyone enjoyed, the duck bone soup was also quite tasty. Other favorites were sauteed shrimp with napa cabbage, pork belly, crispy pork, kids ate mostly the fried noodles and dumplings. Kong pao chicken, cumin lamb were too spicy we had to take them to go. The many northern Chinese noodle dishes were decent but didn't stand out for me ie dumplings, beef roll, pork pie, chilli oil wonton, beef noodle, cold noodles and etc. other stirfried meat and vegetable dishes were pretty good. Our total for 18 people after 18% gratuity came to $650 which is not bad compared to many other places these days. Service was pleasant.Overall most of us were happy with the meal, will be back for the duck and explore other dishes.

Amazing Dungeness crab! The duck was a little disappointing - the skins were thin and great but the duck was a little hard and overcooked. For an extra $5, they will give you duck soup with your duck. Also BYOB. Conveniently located near the SFO airport.

Went for Weekday Lunch SpecialFood - 4/5. Soup had a light broth, fortified by the silky eggs and hints of sourness from the tomatoes. Twice cooked pork had good sear with a nice aroma of scallions and peppers. It had a lot of douchi, which helped season the dish, but the copious amount made it a little too salty. Rice was fluffy and helped balance out the strong flavors of the pork.Service - 4/5. Service was quick and available. They didn't bring out any tea at first, but when asked, responded fast.Value - 5/5. These days $10 for lunch in the area is a rare find. The food quality was good and the portions were fitting for the price. They have a varied selection, and most of their options sticks to the $10 price point. Good value!Parking - Street (Free)

My friend and I came here for an early dinner. We found this place because it had decent reviews. I knew this place was going to be good because locals started flooding in later. The customer service was good and the inside was pretty nice. It felt nostalgic like a little kid going to other Chinese restaurants. Well the FOOD was HELLA good! I think the star of the show was the soup, it hit the spot. Hella comforting. If you're in the area you should come here.

I loved the Cumin Lamb and spring rolls. The lamb had the perfect amount of spice and flavor and the spring rolls were crispy and delicious. I would have enjoyed if the spring rolls were slightly larger. The service and ambiance are on par with other restaurants in the area.

Long overdue review for Royal Feast. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this place is for you! A chef of mine recommended this spot to us for a gathering. The food is definitely made for sharing (family style). Service was fast! We ordered a lot of dishes that I may have forgotten the name of some of the dishes... it's just in my photo album and I need to post it. From looking at my pictures, I enjoyed the salted egg yolk shrimp, spicy sliced beef, abalone soup with quail eggs, greens with century egg soup, Peking duck, sweet and sour fried fish. Ambiance is kinda but it's a very welcoming environment. Many of us enjoyed the food so no complaints here!

We've had a generally decent experience over the years at Royal Feast but our experience today was so disappointing. I had placed an online order at 5 pm for a pick up time of 5:30. When my husband went to pick up at the restaurant, they told us what they didn't even see the order! They ended up making it then but were not even apologetic about their mistake - extremely frustrating when we had two hungry toddlers at home waiting. On top of that, they replaced one of the vegetables that we ordered for a cheaper alternative without even telling us! We clearly paid for a choy and they gave us bok choy. The other three dishes were good but unfortunately did not make up for the subpar customer service and unauthorized substitution with a cheaper dish.
