10/10 experience! The omakase was such a special treat, Robin is a great place to go to for celebrations! They truly make you feel special. Robin in Menlo Park was such an amazing experience. All the dishes were so unique and carefully crafted. The salmon, tuna, and wagyu were absolutely fantastic. If you can, try to sit at the counter / bar! Their non alcoholic beverages were fantastic (raspberry chamomile tea and a yuzu) and the desert was unreal (ice cream made with coconut milk) as well. Will def be back! Very vibey, great staff, and amazing food / drinks.

I feel so lucky that I finally got to come here for dinner! The restaurant itself is smaller than I expected, which made for the perfect, intimate date spot. The vibe is very cool, and walking in you can just feel you're in for a special experience. I opted for the $109 omakase experience because I didn't think I'd be able to eat more than that, but my partner got their Valentine's Day special $309 option (which I ended up trying a lot of). The lower end option was the perfect amount of food, and I would totally come back for it. The higher end option, while so creative and a fun experience, was maybe a bit too over the top for me. Maybe I don't have an advanced enough palate (lol), but I don't think it was worth the price tag. The service and quality of the food are both exceptional. Our server easily accommodated an extra course of toro we requested, and was so knowledgeable and attentive during the meal. This was such a unique and fantastic experience all around.

Had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner here at Robin. You can make a reservation up to 1 month in advance. At Robin, you can choose a price of $109 or $209, and the chef will prepare you a certain number of dishes. For Valentine's Day, there was also a $309 tier with special dishes containing lobster. My partner and I opted for the $109, which comes with 14 dishes. We started off with a round of drinks. Our server, Justin, gave a great sake recommendation to my boyfriend. The sake cups are a work of art themselves. On the other hand, I ordered the strawberry highball ($17), which was a solid fruity highball. Then, our omakase experience began. When we ordered, we told our server about my boyfriend's nut and avocado allergy. They were super conscious of this and made sure to remove pistachios and almonds from 2 of the dishes he received. We were extremely satisfied with every dish that came out. The dishwater was on point and really made each dish attractive. The flavors of each dish were so good and unique, while still letting the protein (fish, beef, etc.) shine. This isn't your typical omakase experience. There was a fusion of different cuisines and flavors, ranging from Korean to Italian. Justin was an amazing server all throughout. Our experience here was intimate and inviting, and the food was extremely good. You can also order extra pieces if you are still hungry. We ended up with 3 extra pieces, which cost us an extra $54. Overall, I had a great time at Robin. I would definitely come back here for another special dinner.

Overall (5/5):Robin is a special place. If you like omakase, this place is definitely worth a try. While it's relatively in the higher price range (depends what you get as they do offer a menu between $100~$200), the creativity and supporting elements make the experience pretty worth it. Perfect for special occasions or for those looking to indulge in a high-end sushi experience. We will be coming back for sure.Ambiance (5/5):The space has a sleek, modern interior with intimate dim lighting. Even though the lighting is dim, there are spot lights being casted on the table. Big fan of this style of lighting as it's pretty theatrical, making the food the star. The sushi bar is also a work of art, showcasing plates on floating shelves with tasteful lighting. I definitely recommend coming during the night for a date.Music is pretty good. Playing some soul-bap era kanye and some early 2000's hip hop. Just a little disappointed there weren't that many songs, as I heard some of the same songs play 3 times during our stay. The catalog of music is good but the playlist could use some more songs.Service (5/5):Great service. Topped off water, and explained the dishes well. Did all the things you expect from a higher end place.Food (5/5):I typically try to review everything we eat, however we ordered the $200 option so there was like a million courses. I'll instead review some highlights instead.Kurodai with caramelized butter. (5/5):They elevated this fish beautifully. This is such a tasty bite that we requested another piece for us to enjoy.Very very very good piece of nigiri.Mackerel with yuzu kosho. (5/5):Just a great pairing, nothing too fancy, but just a pleasant bite of food. The kosho had a citrusy/peppery taste to it and I also requested another bite of this one.Hokkaido Uni with bacon fat(5/5):Decadent, rich, and flavorful. A luxurious course that we absolutely loved, and highly recommend trying this. There doesn't look like a lot of fat, but you can definitely taste it in a good way. Not overpowering but gave the uni an extra punch of flavor.Seasonal Sashimi + Nigiri (5/5):Properly seasoned sushi rice. We love this, we live for this. Also thoughtful toppings with the fish is always welcome, which Robin has done. I never would have thought pistachios with raw fish would be good but I was very happily surprised. Props to the chefs and crew, great food + vibes.

Incredible omakase, service, and ambiance! Had reservations on a Wednesday and got seated right away. There is parking in a parking garage super close to the restaurant which was convenient too. The service was so professional, always filling my water every 10-15 min. You get to choose your price point and we opted for the half point (160$ pp). We got 18 courses plus a dessert on top! The omakase was incredible, every bite was delicious. Our dessert was a coconut soft serve with a cherry compote and crumbled biscoff cookie. It was the perfect end to a meal and my husband and I enjoyed the whole meal very much. Will definitely be back!

Robin is a solid, consistent omakase and based on how many courses you'd like to indulge in. You can leave not completely full or just enough. The dishes are simple and embellished enough to not overpower the taste of the main element. The entire experience is one I want to repeat over and over again! The hostess at the entrance is most welcoming. I have only sat at the sushi bar. I enjoy watching the chefs in the kitchen putting these beautiful edible dishes of art together for us to enjoy and listening to the description of what I'm about to eat.. Observing the well oiled machine is also another piece of admiration. The servers are impeccable with their attentiveness. The atmosphere is sexy with dramatic low lighting- perfect for date night. The choices of libations are exquisite. It doesn't stop there though. The bidets in the restrooms are appreciated although not necessary. It's definitely a step above.I love this place and will continue to ramp up my visits for all special occasions.

Our server, Shiro, took great care of our table this night. He was so kind and welcoming upon our arrival. Celebrating my birthday here was a night I won't forget and has left a great impression on everyone at our table. Omakase is one of my favorite dining experiences and Robin was one for the books. I enjoyed every bite for its complexity and simplicity and in the thoughtfulness and design of the plating. I was also so moved when Shiro provided us with a glass of sparkling rosé for my boyfriend and me on the house. I couldn't stop smiling all throughout this experience. We chose a price range of $180 per person which included 19 bites. I hope to come back here soon! Thank you to the chefs and staff who served us this special night :)

I had heard and read some positively raving reviews of Robin through Yelp and when I was planning for a special dinner, all of the stars aligned with the perfect time and day to celebrate a special birthday.I was given the recommendation to reserve seats at the bar to have the full Omakase experience, and it turned out to be the right move for us. After being seated and settling in, our Chef introduced himself and asked us to chose a price between $109 to $209. As we were celebrating, we both went for the $209. 25+ rounds later, we were completely satisfied and impressed with the slick, polished experience.Although Robin is not a Michelin star restaurant, there is a vibe here that would lead you to believe they could be or even on their way. Since this experience in early October, we have been here yet another time and the excellence and consistency was yet again fully present.

Today marks our one-year anniversary, and I decided to take my girlfriend to Robin Menlo Park. Let me tell you--it was worth it! This modern omakase spot combines innovative sushi with the finest seasonal ingredients for an incredible culinary experience. The atmosphere is intimate yet modern, perfect for special occasions like ours or just treating yourself. While I originally wanted to sit at the chef's counter, my girlfriend preferred a standard table for a more personal experience, and it turned out to be perfect for the occasion. The tasting menu was perfectly balanced, with highlights like melt-in-your-mouth toro, delicate uni with bursts of caviar, and their smoked king salmon with a hint of truffle--absolutely divine. Robin's unique approach to flavors stood out, blending traditional Japanese sushi techniques with creative touches like yuzu kosho and surprising textures that elevated each dish. The service was outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate, taking the time to explain each piece in detail, which made the experience even more memorable. If you're a sushi lover or looking for an elevated dining experience, Robin Menlo Park is a must-try. Yes, it's a bit of a splurge, but the artistry and flavor are well worth it. I left with a full belly, happy heart, and an even more special anniversary memory. Can't wait to go back!

This was my first time at omakase, so take my words with a grain of salt Came on a weekend night and was not too busy! They were definitely booked out and I probably should've booked the bar (I did not know that was an option LOL) but overall I loved my experience anywaysThe employees were super nice and explained everything really well. We decided to go with the 160 price point, right in the middle as I was insanely indecisive It came with about 13 courses, including dessert -- which I walked out honestly perfectly full. Any more or any less I would've felt like it was too much or not enough. Everything I tried was super yummy, and if you don't like certain things like me, you can definitely ask for substitutions! I exchanged my uni piece with truffle, which was absolutely still delicious. I am not an expert on fish, but everything I had was sooo yummy and well balancedI probably don't see myself coming here super often bc I do not got it like that in life just yet. But I'd definitely bring my parents back to impress them and have a nice dinner They also play hip hop! Which was very interesting LOL was really trying to not sing along in a nice resturant lol
