Food was yummy, like soul food. Seasoned to perfection. Get the Anticucho de Carazon. Chase it with a Modelo and satisfy that hunger. Happy and helpful waiters. Nice vibe with the cool jazz arrangements of pop music. Cheers!Jason

Came here after an event on a weekend evening, and the place was surprisingly empty. The restaurant is comprised of two connecting rooms, with a bar in the entry room. I probably would've left 4 stars for the food, but it just took so incredibly long to receive food even though there were only a couple of tables of customers that we all got very hangry by the time the food came. I was also so annoyed at the waiter for many reasons- barely present even though he had like two tables. I mean the food was the kind of slow where he should have checked in and updated us. - didn't know his wines, and when I asked if I could try two, he said "we don't do that here". What is there not to do? just pour a sip into two glasses!- thirdly, I saw pictures of raw salmon on yelp that I wanted to order. I mistakenly ordered the Salmon a la Parilla which is cooked instead of the Tiradito de Salmon, which is raw. He asked me how I wanted the salmon cooked, and I replied "Isn't it raw?" and he said that he recommended it at least medium well done, and I let it go and said sure. I feel like that would've been a great opportunity to tell me perhaps I was thinking of the other raw salmon dish!Anyway, I didn't like the "creamy" soup-like quinoa that the Salmon a la Parilla came with. The seafood paella was really small, and was presented in a small bowl. By the time we realized we ordered the wrong dish, and the dishes were small, I was like heck no, I'm not waiting another 45 plus minutes to order another dish.

Stopped by for some drinks before the drive up Saratoga after dinner. For the life of me, could not make up my mind and was relieved to see the pisco sour flight. Chicha Morada - Was it the color, taste, or BOTH? This was AMAZING. Strawberry - Taste wise, this was my TOP one Passion Fruit - Tangy, tart and wakes you up in a good way Blueberry - This one was ok. Just. ok. Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stop by and try them out when you're in the area

It's a bummer, I really wanted to like it. Typically most Peruvian food is naturally gluten free, but most of their dishes are not gluten free as they add non traditional items such as soy sauce. The service was fine.

Stay away from this place. This was the 3rd time I went there and it will be the last. They always take extremely long, but this last time we waited for nearly 2 hours and the food did not come at all.We were there for a birthday celebration and it was a disaster. When I finally went to the kitchen to see what was taking so long, I also saw that all of the kitchen staff were working with their bare hands (no gloves!), touching the food with total disregard for basic hygiene, also dropping food on the counters, then picking them up and putting them back on the plates etc... The entire situation was revolting. We left right away after I witnessed what was happening in the kitchen. I've learned my lesson, never coming back...

Honestly I don't know what to feel about this place. The dishes my mother & I had were great- EXCEPT for the fact they ran out of rice, so instead of letting us know, they just served my mom UNDERCOOKED rice. Like rice that was mushy yet hard in the middle and for some reason, incredibly salty. We let the waiter know & he brought the dish to the back to attempt to fix it, and then brought it back to our table and told us they ran out of rice and there wasn't anything they could do about it. ????? Maybe provide an alternative starch rather than make someone literally eat UNDERCOOKED rice???? Anyway, I had to give my mom most of my perfectly cooked rice for her to enjoy her Mother's Day meal. Unfortunately, the waiter misheard my father and served the wrong meal. It look the ENTIRE time we were there to remake what he ordered. My mom & I were really hungry since we just hiked so we ate our food. My dad has a low blood sugar issue so he needed sugar from a drink or food. He ordered a coke and never got it until I had to ask for the second time. We ended up just getting the correct order packed to-go after maybe 45 minutes or an hour of waiting. The waiter was really nice to us & comped my dad's meal and provided a discount for the rice which we really appreciated... It's a shame the because the food tasted AMAZING. Probably the best Peruvian food I've had in the Bay. I know it's a holiday & the restaurant might be understaffed, but the place wasn't busy at all. Tables were dirty for a long time, the bathroom lacked proper items, and the speaker's radio static kept going off. I really think this place could do SO much better for their customers. Lomo Saltado: flavor was a 10/10- except I only had a little bit of rice so overall 7/10Seco de Res: 5/10- undercooked rice, good flavorsYuca w/ aji sauce: 10/10 favorite Ceviche Clasico: 10/10 but small portion CaipiCuzco drink: soooooo good 10/10 very little alcohol but just enoughPina Colada: 10/10

Had lunch here on a weekday, not so many people, TV was showing euro cup soccer matches. They have a lot of options on the menu, which I like. I ordered a pina colata to start with, then I tried the grilled beef lion on skewers and a shrimp with avocado salad. I loved the beef skewers, would give it a 5 star, but the salad is just not my cup of tea. The dressing is the house vinaigrette, which is too sweet and I can hardly taste anything else, this makes the salad weird. I can not finish eating the shrimp and the avocado if not with the sauce from the beef skewers. I will give this dish a 3 star. The service is good, I ordered the shrimp salad but the waiter got another salad written down and brought it to me and until then we realized the order is wrong. But he immediately changed it. So I suggest you confirm with the waiter about your order before he sends it to the kitchen.

My favorite thing was the Ceviche Pisco Bar, their house special ceviche with shrimp and fish marinated in the leche de tigre topped with fried calamari. The crunch of the hot and savory calamari was the perfect counterpoint to the cold and sour ceviche. The chicken paella was good but the ribs only standard and left me wishing I had ordered a more traditional Peruvian dish. The pisco sour flight was a great choice and the maracuya, strawberry and chicha were refreshing with the maracuya being the best. Great service and beautiful murals on the wall, stop here for lunch after your hike at Big Basin.

Food is good! We loved the paella, anticuchos are fantastic. Taste like Peru. However, the service is horrible and the staff is rude. They don't adhere to their posted open hours. Their new breakfast hours start 7am. We tried to go last week but no one was there! Closed even though sign says open out front. At 8:30am today we wanted to give them another go for their new breakfast menu with our two kids. Everyone was excited! Upon arrival, all the lights were on and the open sign was on. Three presumably staff members were sitting in the front window by the door eating breakfast themselves. I asked if they're open and could we take a seat outside? The only one who got up first rolled his eyes directly at me and made an annoyed face. It felt like serving us breakfast was the last thing on earth he wanted to do. With many options, we went elsewhere. Unfortunately, the food is good but they definitely don't treat their customers with hospitality!! Sorry, Pisco Bar. We won't be back again unless you stay committed to being open during posted hours and provide good service to customers.
