Great deal for $60 total: appetizer/salad, pasta, pizza, dessert. Was enough with leftovers for 2 people. Everything was delicious. Walked in early like 5pm without a reservation and sat at the bar. Good chairs with back support. Gotham pizza was awesome, I'll be back to try more

Pink Onion is a tiny restaurant located on a super busy street. Parking is definitely rough! My friend and I stopped by on a Wednesday night around 5pm and was able to walk in and sit at the bar. We got the combo meal which included a free bottle of wine on Wednesday's.We got the meat and cheese plate, the jam was the highlight of our night! For pasta we got the bolognese with ravioli and for the pizza we got the kanoute. And for desert we got the cheesecake. We honestly thought the food was okay and that the restaurant was tiny but the staff there were amazing.I would probably come back to try other items on the menu.

Vendsday the19th of 2025's February 21h30Now that's what I call "Italian Pizza!" Mi scusi, "Vero Napolitano!" And I've Never been disappointed with my combo, delivered-order from Pink Onion...! I've settled into my usually-forever order of their Parma E Burrata plate, Bruce Bochy pizza, Rigatoni Sugo w/meatballs, and that fantastic basque cheesecake to finish this wonderful combination meal... Bravo Cipolla Rosa...!Now today's gooodie order of mine had a new wine I'd not tasted with their grub. A Garancha, Cepa Por Cepa de Nekeas, a 2003 from northern Spain. A young, light read with simple legs, no real tannins, and a berry-like nose with a hint of strawberries. It went down clean & easy with what I thought a splendid accompaniment, contrasting to the Bruce Bochy garlic, pepperoni, mushroom & green onion...enough force to work with the wine, but not overpowering of just one flavor or overriding taste or spiciness. This pizza had a wonderful crust, with a crunchy texture and a smattering of offsetting, complimentary. The meatballs were not hockey-pucks, but light, moist, and did I spy a pine nut remnant in there? I was tempted to sneak some Pecorino Romano on top of the pasta, along with a hailing of cracked, black Kampot peppercorns from Cambodia. But I found the meatiness blended with the sugo & pasta, along the Garancha...a little bit of Heaven crossed my face. And I'm glad I ordered a side of those delicate, Italian billiard balls swimming in sugo for later. Here's a hint: Save the Burrata plate, with its fresh fruits, etc. for later on...it makes a delightful midnight snack, along with the comped bread stakes, while fortified with that light, rosy vino as well, easily working with the fruits & arugula. But sparingly use the balsamico & olio with it, so as to not overpower this delightful combo.I'll have to save any comments on their Basque cheesecake finish as I'm juggling this enjoyable food, the wine, while writing this with one finger as I try to decide what next to enjoy. But this I can describe--take it to bed with you, along with a suitable spoon for sharing...Tanta Bella Cosa...!

Me and my friend came by on a Tuesday and got the combo meal which in my opinion is super worth the price. We got the meatballs as an appetizer, prosciutto pizza and bolognese. It even came with dessert at the end (bomb ass tiramisu). Our server was very nice and attentive. The ambiance is alright, it's sort of in a random hole in the wall somewhere near the soma of sf, limited parking but if you come by before 4pm it should be pretty easy. Will come back on a Wednesday to get the wine next time (heard lots of good things about it).

Came back here because I was craving some delicious pizza. The hot honey pizza was good, but I think the magic mushroom is much better. the hot honey pizza bread was pretty soggy on the bottom, and not crispy as I hoped. Besides that, flavor was still delicious and the burrata salad is still my favorite salad EVER!!

Had an amazing dinner experience that I'm still thinking about. First, the service is amazing! We were immediately greeted by the host at the door who checked us into our reservation, but since no seats were available yet he gave us a complimentary glass of wine. The inside is cute, but pretty small so make sure to make a reservation during busier hours! Once seated, we had the complimentary bread and it was sooo delicious! We ended up ordering the $60 combo meal with an add-on of another small pizza. For appetizer we got the steamed mussel (such a yummy broth we literally took the rest to go even though no mussels were left). For the pasta we got the bolognese which was solid. Would prob try a different pasta next time. For the pizza, we got the magic mushroom (im craving it now as I write this review it was soooo good). And our second pizza was the tyson punch out which was also good! I need to come back ASAP for the combo on a wednesday to get a free bottle of wine.

This was a very small store with a lively atmosphere, which I feel like it is a good place to catch up with friends. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations :/ The portions were huge but:Burrata Salad: My friends all agreed that the balsamic glaze was overpowering and maybe its personal preference, but the addition of raisins was unnecessary.Rigatoni Vodka: Most solid thing out of what we ordered, but I feel like this is a simple dish.Jimmy G's Pizza: So mushy. The crust was falling apart and the ratio of toppings to bread was off. It was a great price for the amount of food offered! They did include either tiramisu or cheesecake with the $60 combo deal, which was yummy but I don't think I'd come back here given that there are so many other good eats for pasta/pizza in SF.

Really great food and vibe.Shortly after walking in, you'll feel like you are hanging out in the family room of your old high school friend who was an effortlessly natural host. The staff is fun, laid back, and dishing out positive vibes. Prices are very reasonable. The namesake pink onion salad is really stellar, and fresh berries make it shine.Generously sized pasta dishes and pizza too. The pizza list is expansive or you can customize - and get a great thin crust pie. Also appreciate a local but not too mainstream tap rotation It's not too loud, and would be a great under the radar pick for a hang, catch up with a good friend, or date night.

Met the owner on Bart like a week or 2 ago and I never heard of this Italian place! I tried the 60 dollar deal and YO....best pesto pasta I've ever had FOREAL! The pesto sauce is very rich and creamy texture. Noodles are soft and melt in your mouth but not overcooked-soft. The tiramisu was chocolaty and moist and didn't taste hella cheesy like most places might make it. The pizza was a soft textured pizza. They don't make it overly cheesy like regular pizza places. Just the right amount of cheese and the prosciutto isn't super salty either. Great tasting pizza. We didn't get a chance to sit down and eat, but we are planning to make the trip soon! If you're ordering your food to go on yelp or other service, just be patient, it's really worth the wait!

Quaint bar with some tables, serving fresh pasta and unique pizzas. Come in, sit down and order while sipping a beverage. Food comes out quickly. Pizza is tasty. The hot honey is surprisingly yum with the just-crispy-enough pepperoni. A hip spot in a fun area.
