I love coming here. It's pretty close to my house, it's not difficult to get to. It is busy on the weekends but on the weekdays it's so quiet and peaceful. I've done two team events here and we had the best afternoon sitting around picnic tables, drinking wine, eating lunch / snacks, and playing board games. Food - you can bring outside food here. You can't bring outside alcohol (makes sense). We brought games and a BT speaker (kept on a lower volume) and had a blast. Very kid friendly. Came here once on a weekend and it was packed but there was also kids everywhere.

If you're looking for the perfect spot to savor local wine and soak up the great outdoors, look no further. We decided to start our adventure early by hiking the Zinfandel Trail at the picturesque Picchetti Open Space Preserve. The trail, open from sunrise to sunset, offers the ideal opportunity for a "hike and wine" day--truly a win-win!After our hike, we headed to the tasting room, where we picked up a bottle of their 2021 Zinfandel. Instead of sampling a variety of wines, we went straight for the bottle--a robust, medium-to-full-bodied wine from ancient vines planted back in 1882. While the $70 price tag might be on the higher side, the quality of the wine made it a worthwhile treat. The tasting room itself is a charming old bar adorned with vintage photos and artifacts from the original Picchetti Brothers. The top-notch service added to the experience, with our server offering a couple of wine tastes to help us choose the perfect bottle.

Not sure why people think 5 pours for $25 is an expensive tasting, because hellooo??? Have you BEEN to Napa? Be for real here lol.Great wine selection and very nice staff. It's a stand up style tasting and worked for us after our little hike. I think their outdoor area is great! So many people having picnigs and enjoying the outdoors, but I don't see myself coming early and trying to secure a spot here. Solid wine though; I'd come back for a hike and drink!

Nice family winery with picnic area and hiking trails. Good wines. Friendly staff. We did a short hike before visiting the tasting room. We were greeted by the estate's peacock and fluffy black kitty. Fun place. We will come back again.

Had a phenomenal time at this winery & customer service! Excellent wine selection and lovely spot. Just make sure you pack some snacks since they don't sell food. Great pricing too, $25 for a tasting flight. Really a hidden gem and can't wait to go back.

I love Pichetti. The outdoor space has a ton of picnic tables, peacocks walking around etc. the ambiance is so lovely for a picnic or even a birthday party. There are also several hikes right around to see gorgeous views of the bay. The wine tasting menu was also reasonable and the folks helping us out were super knowledgeable. The wine was also delicious. Would come back for sure.

Picchetti Winery sits atop a beautiful winding road with gorgeous view and (definitely a first for me!) its own hiking trail! We didn't go this time since we had no idea and were underprepared for a hike, but we walked a bit down the trail and it was so lovely.I was very pleasantly surprised by the open grassy areas, picnic benches, and the sheer amount of families/groups present! I had never seen so many happy kids running around a winery, it was super wholesome. Tastings are only $25 per person (sharing is OK), and you have the freedom to pick from a list of wines. The tasting was super lax, our pourer did a great job explaining some background about our selected wines and was very timely with each pour. We were in and out in about 25 minutes.I had a great experience! I think this place is great for a fun casual date, and you can even go on a little walk/hike on the trail afterwards to talk about what you tasted. Super cute, highly recommend!

My husband and I have been wine tasting for years. Picchetti wines are the best. I love that they have different types ranging from white, to sparkling to reds and ports. Also their homemade fudge is so good and a nice treat to pair with the port

Great, kid-friendly winery! It's a winery that lets your kids be kids and play around while you sip wine. There are not that many wineries in bay area that allow kids, picnic, kids to play and also have peacocks on the ground.. so definitely worth it if you love wine and have kids.Wine - okGrounds and the place - Great!Picnic spots - Plenty! The bathrooms are not owned by them but by the city (ranch) so the maintenance is not that great. That was the only sad, and the first time with any winery.

Nice winery in San Francisco. The property itself is a bit smaller than I expected and could use some updating, but the atmosphere is still rustic and charming. When you arrive, you head into the tasting room to order a bottle, glass, or tasting. The tasting is pretty expensive at $25, so instead we chose to order a bottle of rosé for $30. The white rosé was drier than I've had before, but had nice notes of strawberry and watermelon. We found a picnic table in the shade to relax and enjoy the summer weather. Many of the other tables had brought their own food and table cloths, almost like a picnic, which I thought was very smart and fun. There were quite a few bugs that flew around us and tried to get into our drinks, but this is expected being outdoors. Overall, it was a nice experience and the wine was good. I would get a different wine, a sweeter one, in the future and bring food from home to make the experience better.
