Super good! I was really impressed. There was 4 of us and we shared the meat jajangmyeon, 2 orders of sweet and sour pork, and vegetable fried rice. The meat jajangmyeon was really good and savory. It had a lot of pork. I would definitely get it again. The sweet and sour pork was amazing. The batter was crisp and light. The sauce for it had carrots, mushrooms, and cabbage. I loved that it was on the side because the pork stayed crispy. I also really enjoyed the vegetable fried rice. It had a lot of garlic and packed with veggies. The portions are large, so we had a bunch leftover. I will definitely be back! The space is a little larger than what it looks like from the outside. And it is newly decorated. It's just a little cold inside, so bring a jacket lol. Service was great. I notified the server of my allergies and she was very accommodating.

So happy this opened in the peninsula. It's a favorite jajang noodle place of ours in the South Bay, and now we don't have to travel so far! This is the Korean version, so it definitely has its own unique taste, sweeter, but we like it! This location is much larger than the South Bay location, so there's never a wait! We've been here a few times and everyone loves it.The only thing I'll say is that portion sizes have shrunk ALOT! They're really cost cutting here

Been curious about this place and finally got a chance to try it. I think it took over a former Korean restaurant space that I tried years ago. The dining area was quite big and nicely lit and inviting. We were seated quickly and the service was fine. We might have over ordered because we had quite a bit leftover but everything was tasty. This is what we ordered:Jajangmyeon Black Bean Sauce Noodle(cant beat a sub $11 bowl of noodles nowadays!)Jajang riceBeef Jjamppong RiceLemon chicken Black pepper beefMy kids especially liked the noodles and we almost had to order a second serving. Give this place a try!

After watching Culinary Class Wars on Netflix, I was pretty stoked to try the judge Paik's restaurant and excited to see one open in the Peninsula! It's my first time at a Korean Chinese restaurant and it was truly the best of both worlds - yummmmmm!! The food here did not disappoint - loved the sweet and spiced dishes (try the tofu mushroom!) and the fried beef dish! Honestly every item was delightfully flavorful! Even a simple dish like vegetable fried rice was delicious! The decor is modern and spacious - with plenty of space for both small and large parties. It's located inside a strip mall so lots of free strip mall parking. The music is fun and peppy inside. Service was friendly and the food arrived quickly after ordering. Can't wait to come back! This meal made me very happy!

This was my first visit to a Paik's, so I went with what others have recommended, the jajangmyeon and the sweet and sour pork. I really appreciated that scissors were available for the jajangmyeon. This made it much easier to serve. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the sauce had great depth of flavor. My only minor critique would be that I would have preferred a bit more pork and fewer onions, but overall, it was delicious. The sweet and sour pork was also fantastic. It arrived hot and crispy, and I loved that the sauce was served separately from the pork. This made for a fun dipping experience and helped the pork stay crispy longer, rather than becoming soggy from being drenched in sauce.Overall, the meal was reasonably priced, and the service was quick and efficient. I'd definitely return to try other dishes and explore more of the menu!

I love this place! This is one of the few places you can get Jajangmyeon for $11 . And I also appreciate how their tip starts at 15%, instead of 18% like most places in the Bay. In general the portion size is big and the dishes are relatively cheap so you can really get your bang for your buck here. Some people have noticed lower quality of taste compared to the Santa Clara location, but to me the food tastes great so I like it. This place is also bigger than the Santa Clara location and is way easier to park at, so I prefer this location over the Santa Clara one.The food is great here. They provide complimentary radishes which I like. We go the Jajangmyeon and it was really savory. The only thing is I wish they would add cucumbers and not peas at the topping, but it doesn't make that much of a difference to the flavor of the dish. We got the extra meat, which was an extra $3 and I wouldn't recommend it. I thought extra meat would mean more of the meat in the savory black sauce but they just added some cut pork over the dish, so I don't think the extra $3 was worth it. The quality of their Jajangmyeon has varied. When we came back recently it was a bit watery, but that doesn't take away from the flavor of the dish which still tasted good to me.We've also got the Jjamppong which was great. It's quite spicy but savory and the noodles are soft so all around great dish. We've also ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork a few times and that is great. The pork is crispy and tender. The sweet sauce is really sweet but I think it adds to the pork which is plain without any sauce. We've also gotten the Jajang rice a few times and it's really great too. It comes with soup, so it feels like a full meal. You really don't need to order anything else if you get the Jajang rice, so it is a really great bang for your buck. The service is pretty good. They can get really busy during peak hours though and can be a little slow during those times, but overall I think the service is pretty good. They're quite attentive. Like they gave us scissors when they saw we were struggling to eat the noodles. And when they gave us a box to take home the leftover Sweet and Sour Pork they gave us 2 boxes (so the fried pork wouldn't get soggy sitting the sweet sauce), which was very considerate of them. The interior is also nice. It's very new and clean since it just opened. It has modern but warm furnishings. It is also bigger than the Santa Clara location so that's really great especially during peak hours when there's a lot of people.Parking is also not a problem here (unlike the Santa Clara location). There's a huge lot for the plaza so we didn't have an issues finding parking.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Got seated right away. This place is nice and clean and easy to order take out and find parking. We ordered a few things and for the price, it's a really good deal!Jajangmyeon 5/5This is some of the most flavorful and delicious jajangmyeon I've had. And for a price of $10.95, it can't be beat!! The noodles are super long but perfectly chewy and blend so well with the sauce. Must get.Beef jjampong 4/5If you are looking for a non spicy soup option, this was perfect as we were recovering from a cold. The noodles are also the perfect chewiness and the broth is deep with beef flavor. There is not a lot of beef however and you can run out of broth pretty quickly.Sweet and sour pork 3.5/5The crunch and outside of this fried pork is so light and airy but it can get hard pretty quickly so try to eat as many as you can while it's hot! The sauce is needed to offset the plain pork but I wish it was more tangy and more sweet and sour. Probably didn't need to order it.Overall, I'll be back for sure. I can't stay away from the jajangmyeon.

So glad to have Paik's Noodle in the peninsula because now I don't have to go to South Bay. The parking is also convenient since it's located in a small shopping center.Chili Jajangmyeon - it had some heat to it! Would definitely recommend it if you want it spicy. The radish helped balance the spice.Sweet and sour pork - very crispy! On its own, it had a little bit of a sweet flavor. The sauce adds a nice tanginess!

I had Paik's Noodles in K-town, LA, a few years ago. I don't remember what I ordered, but it was an okay meal--nothing exceptional. Like many others, I was inspired to give it another shot after watching Culinary Class War on Netflix. My husband and I arrived on a Sunday night around 6:30 PM. The restaurant was about 80% full. We waited near the entrance, expecting to be greeted, but the two staff members at the counter seemed to actively avoid acknowledging us. They looked our way but continued doing whatever they were doing. Odd, but maybe they were busy? We stood there awkwardly for another minute until one finally asked, "How many?"We said "two," and he glanced around at the available tables: one clean two-top and a couple of larger tables that needed clearing. Instead of seating us, he ran off to the kitchen. The other staff member wandered aimlessly around the restaurant, making sure not to make eye contact. We stood there for five minutes while several staff members walked back and forth to the kitchen--empty-handed--without seating us. My husband eventually walked to the counter to look at the menu, which somehow broke the spell. The first guy handed him a menu and, at long last, set a table for us. It was one of the strangest dining experiences I've had, and I couldn't help but wonder how chaotic it might get if they were truly busy.Once seated, the server quickly took our order. I chose the Jjamppong, and my husband ordered the Chili Jajangmyeon and spicy chicken. The food arrived quickly, but the presentation was sloppy. The bowls looked messy and unappetizing (see photo). Here's how the food rated: * Jjamppong (1/5): A mix of frozen seafood tossed in a gochugaru-and-dashi broth. The noodles were fine, but the dish felt uninspired. * Chili Jajangmyeon (2/5): It was literally jajangmyeon topped with a pile of sliced jalapeños. The noodles were slightly better than the Jjamppong, which is the only reason it scored higher. * Spicy chicken (2.5/5): Freshly fried but overly thick batter that turned soggy after sitting in the sauce. It tasted more like sweet-and-sour chicken with a jelly-like coating that lost all crunch. The meal cost $50 before tip, which is reasonable for the area, but it didn't feel worth the price. There are plenty of better options nearby. The final lowlight? Halfway through our meal, a cockroach decided to make an appearance, crawling toward the table next to us. The diners flagged down a server, who casually stepped on it, grabbed a tissue, and cleaned it up as if this were routine. Not exactly the type of entertainment you'd hope for during dinner.Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Between the subpar food, lackluster service, and surprise roach, I won't be returning to Paik's Noodles. Trying it once is more than enough.
