We went on Valentine's Day for dinner. Booking was done 1 week in advance and luckily there were still 8pm availability. The restaurant was packed when we got there. Upon entering, we were seated quickly. They had special Valentine's Day menu as well as the regular dinner menu. We got an appetizer with mozzarella cheese, seafood ravioli (special menu) and pappardelle Alexandra. We did not wait for too long for the food despite the crowd (~10 min). The appetizer came with ham, pickled artichoke, lettuce, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, and topped with olive oil. It was light and refreshing. The seafood ravioli was filled with mashed seafood (I guess it was shrimp and some other seafood). Each piece of ravioli was huge, so it filled me up pretty quickly. My favorite was the pappardelle Alexandra! The source was very cheesy and it was topped with big chunks of crab meats. We also ordered a pistachio cake for dessert. It was fun to see that instead of showing us a dessert menu, the waiter showed actual dessert samples in front of us! The pistachio cake was smooth and easily melted in the mouth. It also came with actual pistachio chunks and a scoop of whipped cream. It was a really great Valentine's Day dinner experience. The waiters were super friendly and helped us take several pictures. I'd highly recommend it for a date night dinner.

This is a pretty authentic italian restaurant located in Little Italy. The pastas we had were really good and good portion. The bruschetta I didn't really care for. The server was attentive but maybe a little too attentive... she checked on us too often. The parking is also a nightmare here which makes me not want to come back.

This place has a special place in my heart. It is such a quaint establishment in Little Italy San Jose. This is my 2nd time here, and I experienced a discrepancy on the bill YET again, so do yourselves a favor and check the bill. They are old school and still manually ring up the items. I came with a group of 5. Calamari and cesar salad to share. The pastas here are huge, so they are great for sharing as well! They range from $32-$40 if you add extra protein to them. I got the alla moda with extra sauce to share $32. I love the mushroom taste on the sauce. My friend for the Tortellini Capricciosi - Meat tortellini with mushrooms, asparagus, and pancetta in a white cream sauce $24.95. This dish was delightful and very creamy. It tastes different from the alla moda. This time around, we all got desserts, which were presented on what looked like a silver platter and showcased everything they had to offer. It looked so good.We got the cannoli, tiramisu, and lime sherbet. All were delightful and completed our meal. The service was good like last time, so no complains there.

Came here for dinner earlier in the week. The restaurant is small but very warm and inviting. The service was excellent and the food was great. The prices are a little high but the portions are very large so we had left overs to take home with us. I fully recommend coming here and we will definitely come back again.

Decided to come here on a weekend and no wait! Plenty of people eating but we lucked out.Service was excellent and friendly. Never had to ask for waters as they kept refilling our glasses. We had the shrimp pasta and a mushroom pasta, they were both delicious!Free bread and dip upon arrival. The bruschetta needed some balsamic glaze, while the calamari was perfect.Plenty of street parking and they even have outdoor seating.

Finally got to step out of the house and try something new with good company. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday for lunch and had a great time![[ Location / Parking ]]This is located right at the start of the "Little Italy" sign in Downtown San Jose and there are a ton of metered parking right outside. I had to pay $2/hour for parking but they accept credit cards with "tap to pay" so it was pretty convenient.[[ Restaurant / Service ]]I liked the vibe of the restaurant as it seems to be built inside an old home but the inside was really nice. The servers were dressed formally and were super friendly and told us the specials right away. Everyone was really welcoming and I thought they made a strong first impression. Towards the end, our server also helped us pack our leftovers and all of them wished us goodbye which I thought was a nice touch.[[ Lunch Menu ]]First off, I think the pricing for this place is pretty fair with $10 - $30 range which is really "affordable" for what we can get nowadays with high inflation. The portion sizes were also proportional to what you pay for so no complaints in my book. I think the entree's were big enough for really just one person but you can share if you want to (they even split the plate into two if you go this route). My wife and I ordered the following:1.) Appetizer - Bruschetta2.) Appetizer - Affettato Misto3.) Entree - Tortellini Cappricciosi4.) Entree - Veal ParmigianaI really enjoyed the Bruschetta and the Tortellini Cappricciosi out of the things we ordered and would definitely get them again if I go again.[[ Conclusion ]]Glad I got to try this place out and I would definitely come back.

Having a newborn means that your options of restaurants to eat out at limited to outdoor restaurants. Essentially, its like being back in covid times for eating out. Paesano's really accomodated for this strict guideline as they have a back area patio with heat lamps and a cover in case of rain. The food here is really good especially as it's the main Italian restaurant in little Italy. The primary issue was that there was a swordfish special that my dad ordered, but when he ate it, something seemed off about the swordfish. The waitress completely understood and asked what my dad wanted as a replacement order. Amazing service! If you want some good Italian food, don't hesitate to go to Paesano Ristorante!

Paesano is still one of the best Italian restaurants in San Jose. We got lucky taking the last table for lunch. I should have known they would be busy with holiday luncheons especially with the street parking before so full. I ended up parking by SAP and walked to the restaurant. Despite being packed, we still received great service. Our appetizer came out in no time and so did our meal. The servers were attentive and refilled our water glasses without asking. The ambiance was louder than usual but we had a wonderful lunch. I don't recall if they stopped giving bread long ago or just for the holidays. We didn't have this during our lunch.

Yes. Always yes!!The food is amazing. The staff are great. The atmosphere is hopping and somehow they make it personal. We love this place. I wish we lived closer because I would camp at the bar. They know their stuff and the food is delicious. The wine selection is great. I love the Italian vibe from the waiter staff. Order the salmon alla siciliana. It's great. The lasagna is delicious!

The food and service was spectacular!! Never had pasta that tasted so authentic, so fresh. The ambiance was a bit too tight and feels loud at times. However, the food and service was amazing! I recommend trying their food. It definitely won't let you down!
