This place has been on my list for a while and I finally made it out to the outer sunset to give it a try! I went on a Friday around 11:15 with a friend and there was no line. We each ordered a squash and salmon toast and really enjoyed both. My squash toast was a perfect blend of savory and sweet with persimmons and a glaze and really hit the brunch spot. The labneh, mint, and cranberries tied it all together. The bread it was on was also so good! I enjoyed the food and definitely will come back to try the dutch pancake and other items as they rotate their menu. The interior was also quite nice.As a note for brunch, they do make you order and pay before you sit so you don't have really have a designated waiter. I had also seen ahead of time about their kind of hidden surcharges that you tip on top of (which I don't love), but knowing about it ahead of time let me tip accordingly. Just a thing to be aware of!

TLDR; overpriced and kind of bland.Let's start with the positive. The vibe is cool and the service is friendly. And the open kitchen allows you to see the food (or at least the most popular dishes) before you order. As for the food, the hush puppies were the best I've ever had, and my wife really enjoyed the cornbread. The wine menu is also solid and the food & bev manager (or whoever our server consulted with for a pairing) knew it well. However, our entrees were disappointing. The pork stew, butternut squash risotto, and mac-n-cheese all lacked flavor. Perhaps we would not have noticed had we been a little tipsy, but the drinks took a long time to come out (as did the food). Maybe we should have gotten the fried chicken instead - that looked phenomenal.

Brunch spot right at the edge of Sunset that gets pretty busy. I came for brunch on a Sunday brunch waited around 10 minutes for a seat inside. They take your order outside prior to being seated so the food comes out super quick once you get settled. The squash toast was good but nothing special. I think it could have used a pinch more salt.

Excellent outer sunset brunch spot. Gets a crowd but the staff moves quickly. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Love the wooden indoor decor. The salmon toast was excellent. The Dutch pancake was light and airy. Next time I will try the French toast which also looked amazing.

I'll start off my review by saying that the vibe and staff are absolutely lovely. The reason for the 3 review is that the food does not match the price. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 smash burgers, & 2 chocolate chips cookies. Our total plus tip came to $100. We were also charged almost $8 is service fees/ healthcare for the staff. The burger was dry and the fries were way too salty. At least the cookie saved the experience and was a hit. I think I'll just stick to coming here for breakfast & skip the smash burger next time.

The breakfast sandwich is very good, and I highly recommend choosing it at least once. The smashed potatoes are a must. I do wish they had different beverage choices, but it's not a game changer. Arrive early cause there will be a waitlist, but it does seem worth it and they do their best to get the food out to you quickly once seated.

5 Star service5 Star food5 Star ambiance5 Star dining experience Tip: This is the often cold & foggy avenues, so dress accordingly, it's not heated inside. For the outdoorsy, a nice parklet. The music is semi-loud, until the crowd mostly drowns it out.So it works like this. Super friendly & helpful guy standing outside at a podium takes your order. You pay. (Hope this isn't some random guy I gave my cc to! ). Opens for brunch at 9am. By 10a the place was 3/4 full. Check their listing for hours. Dinner starts at 5p. Menu might vary from Yelp listing. This isn't a linger with your laptop kind of place, hence, my kind of place. I get so annoyed watching people sit all day nursing a coffee. At least buy more food.Ok, rant over.Determined to continue my quest for the perfect avocado toast, which was currently off the menu, I customized, with no attitude given. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, hold the aioli, add avocado & bacon. Oh, & substitute the brioche bun for levin toast. I am so not high maintenance! The dish came with a generous portion of perfectly dressed greens.Parking is difficult, so it's fantastic that the MUNI N Judah stops 1/2 block from the restaurant. I'll definitely be back, no regrets.

My husband said the steak was good, but not the best he's ever had. My chicken was incredible--the roast chicken with the bitterness from the radicchio and the fresh bread salad? Divine. Drinks were on point. We ended up chatting with the owner and he sent us home with a loaf of fresh bread on the house, along with their homemade butter! Great neighborhood place and all should check it out!!!
