Origin Sushi

A cute little corner shop, ambiance was calm and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and they ensure that you are taken care of. They spend every couple minutes coming to check up on you and ensuring that you have what you need and if you need anything else then make sure to get it for you, the owner along with his staff is very welcoming and nice. Their Dumplings, Tiger Roll and their tea in specific was 10/10, it really hit the spot. We will definitely be returning to this spot as it is a place that we enjoy!!!!

Been getting sushi here a few times now and I have to say that their fish is always fresh. Their selection is small, but very good quality. I really enjoy getting their sashimi. The rolls are nicely portioned and some of the spicy rolls are definitely spicy. Rice was perfectly cooked. Overall, would love to eat in and try their omakase sometime. Service for pick up is really fast and their packaging is cute and nicely packed.

Origin Sushi is located in the Rose Pavilion plaza. Plenty of shared parking here - it is a bit of a quieter plaza. Employees seem friendly and welcoming. I ordered ahead of time, so my food was ready to go when I arrived. Also their takeout bag is super cute. About almost $30 for 1 order of salmon nigiri and 2 small salmon rolls. Wished I remembered to ask for no wasabi, as it was a strong taste that I did not prefer. Good sushi in the area, but on the pricer side. Overall, I would say 3.5 stars and bumped it to 4 stars.

Checked out this new sushi place in town that just opened about a month ago and had a good experience! It's a decent sized restaurant right next to Niku-ya in a plaza with plenty of parking. The store had very simple decor and pretty causal vibe. The lighting felt a bit sterile but overall it was a nice place to dine at. The menu was very straightforward and my party ended up ordering maguro brothers, moriawase (1 handroll with 6 nigiri), and a gorilla roll, and all of them were very good. The fish quality was great, and the presentation of the food was good as well. I felt like the prices were pretty reasonable and felt like the quality was good for the price. The staff were also really friendly and tried to make conversation with us and asking us how the food was. Overall, I enjoyed the food and dining experience and would come back to try more items on the menu and the sushi rolls.

Please, come and try out this place. Do not let the simplicity of the menu delay your visit. Every single item we have ordered did not disappoint in the slightest.Fish fresh, portion is spot on, everything is soo easy to eat since they just melt in your mouth. This is a sushi forward restaurant and will soon be your favorite place.Not sure why anyone would rate this a 3 star place solely on their ambience, but the food can't compare for what they are. They may not be the best decorated nor have the right volume of music. Origin sushi is located in Pleasanton on Rosewood drive in the plaza across from Trader Joe's. I've seen the sign for some time but wasn't sure if they were open. I decided to call last night for dinner and get takeout. A friendly man answered and said my order would be ready in 5-10 minutes. Perfect. I headed out and got there just as my order was getting bagged. The place was empty and I asked how long they have been open. I was told only a week but I believe they had a soft opening. Service was super friendly and the lady even gave me an orange cutie and said it was sweet from Chinatown in SF. I thought that was nice.I ordered a witch roll and gorilla roll. Both were yummy and their rolls are pretty good size. If I had to choose one, I'd go with gorilla roll since it had seared salmon on top and fried shallots which was delicious. I definitely need to come back with friends to try out more of their menu.

We saw that this restaurant recently opened through Yelp and were excited to try it. The menu was simple - mainly sushi and a few hot foods. When we tried to order, the server let us know that this item was no longer on the menu. (Chicken Bento) I'm wondering why they didn't take it off but we ordered two sushi rolls instead. Both were great and priced affordably! However, the reason why I gave 3 stars is because of the ambiance. There was music blasting so loud that me and my partner could barely hear ourselves speak. It was difficult to enjoy our meal with provocative music shouting in our ears. :( Service was friendly though.

Originally, we looked for something hot and new on Yelp. We found Origin Sushi and made a reservation for two. Before we arrived, two of our friends wanted to join us, and I couldn't change the reservation online. We just walked in and there was plenty of seating. The restaurant is new and clean. The service was great. The parking was ample and free. The best dish of the night was the chirashi paired with hot sake.

Food quality is good couple of things that I dinged this place for. First off we ordered a Chirashi bowl I would not consider this an entree more like an appetizer. I have included pics which show how small the plate is and the fish were cut very thinly honestly not my cup of tea not much variety. I would stay away from this dish if you are expecting a typical chirashi bowl. The positive are the rolls I only tried two but they seemed to be a better choice for ordering. The service was also slow but it seemed like there was only one server which is understandable why there was slow service.

Service was amazing ! Food was delicious, can't go wrong with anything in the menu. 10/10
