Ordered The Motherload for a family dinner, im glad they do doordash. Order came in a large foil tray and was well packed, I liked that they put the brisket and pulled pork in their own little foil wrapping since they were very juicy (and you want to keep that!). The ribs were the star of the dinner though, plenty to feed 4-5 people. They were tender and delicious, brisket was also very good and soft. Their bbq sauces weren't too sweet and was a nice touch, the dark brown one and red ones were the best imo. I wish they had a spicy sauce too. The spicy sausage was really good and spicy too, I would get more of that next time. My family isn't a big fan of bbq chicken but it was also tender and flavorful. I think this would be our go to bbq spot! coleslaw and potato salad were pretty standard & good, but tater tots are my fav and im so glad they have em!

Solid bbq find in the South Bay! First heard of them from their food truck at PayPal Park for Bay FC games. If the truck is there, this is our go-to. The smoked chicken nachos are a huge portion, and really good ballpark food. The burgers are also the best value in the stadium. Really great quality, big burger. Underrated for sure.As for the golf course location, this is a little hidden gem. I got brisket per the recommendation of the staff and wanted to try a rib. Tbh, my brisket was on the too fatty side- which is hard for brisket since you want it fatty. But of my 1/2lb portion, almost half was inedible. However, the meat was tender, good smoke ring, delicious bark. So I maybe just got a bad serving of otherwise above average brisket. Rib had good flavor, but not as tender as I'd hope. Still very good. Their regular bbq sauce is a good balance of sweet and savory, and compliments their dry rub spices well.Overall, a good bbq experience and I will be back to try more things.

The food is great here! They actually have Devil's Canyon Root Beer on tap. It is so delicious. They had a Super Bowl party. $12 for all you can eat appetizers through out the game. Chicken wing that were super crispy, egg rolls, tater tots, fried ravioli, build your own nachos, freshly fried pork rinds....my mouth is watering again It's at Sunken Gardens in Sunnyvale. Worth the drive!

This is a hidden gem.The restaurant is inside of the golf course. It's got inside and outside seating. Very casual - thing grabbing a bite after a round of golf. You order at the counter and get a buzzer. There is a bar adjacent with many beers on tap. They have real pit BBQ which is not too abundant in the South Bay. The BBQ is ligit and so are the sides. The best collard greens have bacon in them and they may be my favorite in the Bay Area. The chicken was a little dry today.I'd put it up there with Jon Jon and Jackie's.

Me and wife decided to eat here after golf. I was pretty excited to try since most reviews were pretty good. I really wanted some good BBQ and really wanted to like this place. I will start off by saying I liked the restaurant when I walked in. All the staff and the bartender next door were very friendly. I got the ribs and chicken combo and wife got the 1/4 chicken. We both got beans and potato salad as side. First was expecting cornbread and got a dinner roll. Cornbread may be an added item I did not look I guess I just expected so that may be on me. I'll start with sides. The beans were decent. Nothing to write home about but not bad. Same could be said for potato salad. I like mine with a lot of eggs but I know everyone is different with their salad. Now the mains. The ribs had decent flavor but were dry. The meat came off bone easily but again they were pretty dry. The bbq sauce helped some in that regard. I'd give ribs on their own a 2.5. Now the chicken. Flavor wise not bad but I don't know if I've ever had chicken that dry. It was like eating chicken jerky and that is not an exaggeration. No amount of bbq sauce or beer was able to moisten it up enough. It's almost like the chicken (and ribs for that matter) we're done like 6 hours earlier and left on smoker at 180 to stay hot. Maybe we just went on a bad day but I would not pay to eat here again to find out. Very disappointing. I will say though the mini corn dogs were pretty good. I'd give those like a 3.5-4. They are why I give 2 stars.

Myself and four friends went last night for karaoke and dinner. I hadn't been here since it was the Gold Rush Cafe and I'm so happy that they got a liquor license. I got a cheeseburger with tater tots and that cheeseburger was fabulous. Broiled and a thick patty. The bun could be a little bit less processed. I really wish they would change out their hamburger buns. My friends all got different things. My best friend got a pulled pork sandwich and she also said that the bun was very prefab but the pulled pork was excellent. Another friend got chicken enchiladas and he was happy with them. Another friend got chicken tenders and fries, and she liked those. I can't remember what the other person got or maybe I don't even know, lol!Alan was the KJ last night, and I guess he does karaoke every Wednesday there from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. He's hilarious. He does his schtick in a Wolfman Jack voice and he's awesome. Makes everybody feel like they're the star. I will definitely go back again.Clean bathrooms.I sure wish they would change out their hamburger buns.

This place is a hidden gem! My coworkers and I had our end of the year celebration here and I was pleasantly surprised. I had no expectations when I learned it was a restaurant at a gold course lol. It's a low-key no frills spot for some good comfort food and a nice drink. I was also surprised that although they are known for their bbq, they actually have decent vegetarian options!! They have indoor seating in the saloon and plenty of outdoor seating on their patio. You order your food at the resister and pick it up at the counter. You are politely asked to bus your own table. The service was great. They cashier was welcoming, funny, and gave us great recommendations. I ordered the veggie burger (grain & veggie based) with cheese and tater tots on the side. The bbq tofu intrigued me but I was craving for a good burger and a beer. It was a simple and satisfying burger. It's served with a fluffy brioche bun! Yum. My co worker ordered the bbq taco salad with pulled pork. She loved it and raved about the tenderness of pulled pork! I was also impressed with the beverage options in their saloon. They have some great local beers on tap. I think this is going to be my go to spot with my coworkers! Can't wait to try their bbq tofu :).

We had a private event here, fully stacked with bbq brisket, sausages, chicken, sides. Even some non meat options for the vegetarians. All extremely tasty. Full bar & signature cocktails. The live band rocked out. Service across the board was great. Friendly, fun atmosphere.

As far as ribs go I'd say this is the best value in the south bay. $20 for a half-rack is a steal, especially because these are pretty meaty. There's some room for improvement flavor-wise, but for this area they're still among the better ones overall. And for the price and convenience of location, this is a hidden gem.

We enjoyed the food truck so much at a night market that we decided to go to the actual restaurant today. The location was a bit out of the way, hidden in a golf course. But it was nice and quiet. Inside was empty with a bit of indoor seating and a nice patio outside. We got the 1/2lb plate of brisket, with caesar salad and beans, and the loaded tots. The brisket slaps! It was so juicy, I picked up a piece and it was just dripping. The sauces included were great. Caesar salad was also good with fresh lettuce. Loaded tots were also good; loaded with toppings.
