My favorite spot in the Bay Area to get oysters. The rockerfeller oysters are 10/10You can't go wrong with the Mahi Mahi served with mashed potatoes and topped with mango salsa - yum! Highly recommend this spot.

This place had some of best seafood dishes I have had! This is at the old Applebee's but made really nice modern changes. We were greeted and sat right away. All the dishes we ordered were delicious! My favorite was the garlic prawns it was so fresh and buttery! Ordered:Cheese Garlic bread w/ added crab - 10/10Spicy Chili Edamame - 10/10Garlic Prawns - 10/10Grilled Shrimp Skewers - 9/10Chicken Alfredo - 9/10Crab Linguine - 10/10Definitely recommend this place! Cant want to come back and try other dishes!

I'm pretty sure this was here when I was living in UC 4 years ago, and now I'm mad at myself that I never knew of this place back then.My brother and hubby stopped in for late lunch reservations on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty, wait it was very empty with just one other table with a customer. I was a little worried but more shocked. My immediate impression walking in, I thought this restaurant has a nice interior, welcoming vibes but I was concerned there was no one here eating. Julian, our server was amazing from the start. Very personable, almost like he was an AI/robot, lol jk. He provided exceptional customer service without being overly helpful. For foods, we ordered two appetizers: crab cakes (bro's fav) and the aguachile. Both dishes were so good, I was excited to what was going to come out for our main dishes. The Aguachile had the perfect amount of spiciness with the Serrano sliced peppers and the shrimp marinating in a sour lime juice with spices. Wow, delicious stuff. Now for the mains, I went with the spicy pasta, hubby tried the Cajun pasta and my brother opted for the lobster/crab sandwich. Presentation was on point, really pretty plated dishes! Portions were pretty big, I would say two people can share the pasta dishes, needless to say I had leftovers, so yay me! I was just so satisfied with everything that we ate. From the flavors to the presentation, *chef's kiss good! Customer service, great; Ambiance welcoming and clean. I would 100% come back for a second visit and so should you. Live close by and was excited to try this place. Ambiance is very bright in the restaurant. No tvs or music. Could really use better lighting and ambiance overall. Service was good. The bartender was very nice. Food was just ok. Chowder wasn't on the thicker side which i prefer. Fettuccine was good but chicken was dry. Was hoping for better food overall.

My family loves this restaurant. We have not tried anything here that is not good. Restaurant decor is nice and staff were nice.

Made our first visit to Ocean Oyster Bar & Grill for a rehearsal dinner and had a great experience. From the food to service, everything was fantastic. The establishment is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of free parking for patrons to utilize that is shared among the businesses. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is modern and clean. The vibe definitely matched the experience.We tried several things during our dinner. This included:- Caesar Salad- Fried Calamari- Crab Linguini- Rib Eye- Grilled Whole Branzino- Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake- Creme BruleeAs mentioned, everything was delicious and prepared perfectly (including the complimentary bread). Portions were generous and the quality of food was great. All of the proteins featured on our main entrees were executed well and were truly the stars of their dishes. My husband could not stop raving about the branzino. We arrived hungry and left with full bellies and big smiles.Ocean Oyster Bar & Grill definitely delivered a memorable dinner on our first visit. We would return again without a doubt. As mentioned, we dined as part of a wedding rehearsal dinner, so it is worth mentioning that their staff did a phenomenal job of taking care of our large party with patience, efficiency, and focus.

Came here years ago and overall the food and service has improved. I took my whole family out to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Even though we came in on a week day I wanted to make sure to get a table so I made reservation for a party of 7 through Yelp. We were seated right away and water and bread and butter was served right away. Bread was fresh and hot and the butter was soft. We started off with appetizers and that was brought out fairly quick along with drinks. As for our meals the wait time was about 35 minutes due to another big party but our waiter did let us know. I like that they brought out everyones dishes at once. The sauce that goes on top was creamy and went well with the capers. Small little roasted potatoes and slices asparagus paired well with it. I definitely would get this dish again.I can't review the rest of the dishes since I didn't taste test but everyone enjoyed their meal and said it was good. Definitely would come back and try other things on the menu.

I like the vibe here, especially the bar area. It's a good date night spot but also family friendly. Service is always good when I come. The jalapeño prawns are excellent. I enjoyed the baked oysters too and the poke tostadas. Husband said his raw oysters were good. Every cocktail I got here was perfect too -- some fresh/unique options on their specialty cocktail menu. The items i was disappointed with were calamari (too bready), and the cioppino and steak, which were too bland for the price.

This review is only for the oysters. I love baked oysters and sometimes it's hard to find. So I had to get some from this place as I was nearby . I got the Rockefeller, mango habanero, al mojo de ajo, and the parmesan ones. The winner was the Rockefeller ones ! Overall, all the oysters were delicious and fresh! The parmesan was a little over powering as it had too much cheese. The next time I'm back I'll dine in and try their other dishes

This is a great seafood place and we are blessed to have one nearby after the Fish Market closed. The servers are so friendly and we even have our own regular table on every visit and they will remember you coz thats how nice they are. . Food is on point and the wine selection is plentiful and the full bar is a great place to relax and unwind before heading home.
