408 El Camino Real, Redwood City, CA ( Near Whipple Rd)Nikko's Mexican Grill is....good food, good service, and fair prices.I had a great 1st time experience at Nikko's! I was on my break, at around 5pm on a Tuesday. I saw this place right next to the 7-Eleven, and decided to go in. I immediately saw wall to wall menus and specials posted everywhere. The interior was clean and neat with several tables. A young man came out and asked for my order. I ordered a BBQ Beef Burrito, price $13.99. It took about 5 mins to make it. OMG! This burrito was huge! It could feed two people. It had to be over 3" wide! The burrito was delicious. The ingredients were in balance.....meat, rice, beans, sour cream, with salsa and cheese. It wasn't salty or overly spicy. You just taste the food. Very good, maybe one of the best burritos ever. Free chips. If I'm in the area, I will be back.

A little hole in the wall but Cajun veggie burrito is bombbbb. I don't think other places have it. Only downside is there is tooo much onion and I don't like onion. The 3 sauces they had with chips are good too, especially if you like spicy. The spicy one is really freaking spicy. Worth a try!

They are over priced. I ordered a chicken quesadilla it tasted fine a little dry but edible. The price on the wall showed chicken quesadilla was 12.99$ they asked if I wanted guacamole but never mentioned it was extra in price and they charged me 17.21$ I was assuming the extra charge was for guac. I didn't think about it until I got home. It was the smallest side of guacamole I've ever seen. If they gave a larger side of guacamole I would have thought it was fine but that small size was laughable comparing it to the price they charged. I'm aware they also charge tax but that still doesn't add up for what I got. They also never gave me a receipt and I didn't leave a tip because I was taking it to go.

Tacos were pretty good but surprisingly overpriced (about $4-5 each). They were pretty standard street taco sized, came generously loaded with meat, but still not $5 worth. The 89¢ taco deal is only for chicken tacos on M-F between 2pm-4pm. I thought that for $5 a taco I would be getting a side of rice or beans or something--nope, just one taco per order. On the plus side they were delicious and freshly made to order. Nopales taco was VERY good and larger than the other tacos. It had two corn tortillas, with the outer one grilled and nicely crisped in some spots. Carnitas was ok on flavor, but texture and freshness made it much better. Barbacoa was very tender but lacking in flavor. I'll probably still come back because of the convenience of the location, the price was just too steep for what you get to merit 4 stars.

As i live rather close I thought to give it another try after a couple years of staying away. While my food was ok, the prices on the menu aren't the price you pay! Not by a few pennies, a few bucks! I asked the two ladies working there who were very nice, they said the owner knows and doesn't do anything. Given it's a cheap overhead menu on which you can see the prices have been changed in the past, how hard and long to be LEGAL, maybe 10-15 minutes but is instead misleading customers, what a shmuck, will be another few years before i got back.

If you're looking for a delicious, authentic Mexican meal, Nikkos Mexican Grill is the place to be! The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, with a wide variety of options that cater to every taste. From their perfectly seasoned burritos to their mouth-watering tacos, everything is made with care and packed with flavor. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. I highly recommend the charbroiled Ahi tuna burrito--it's a standout! The atmosphere is cozy and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Nikkos Mexican Grill never disappoints, and it's always a great experience. Can't wait to come back!
