Had a date night here because I was seriously craving some Bun Rieu, and Ngoc Suong seemed like a solid pick. One of the main reasons we chose this spot was because we were specifically looking for dog-friendly restaurants. To my surprise, they actually allow dogs, and we were seated right by the entrance where it was warm--huge plus for that! Now onto the food:- Bun Rieu - Unfortunately, a bit of a letdown. My date's bowl had way more protein than mine, and I was left with just one tiny spare rib. The noodles also tasted a little off--like they weren't as fresh as they should be. Definitely didn't hit the spot the way I was hoping.- Durian Smoothie - More of a durian slushy. So much ice that it watered down the flavor, making it feel more like a durian snow cone than a rich, creamy smoothie. If you're expecting that deep, luscious durian taste, this might not be it.Service was fine, and the dog-friendly seating was a nice surprise, but the food left me feeling more meh than wow. I'd consider coming back for other dishes, but I'd probably skip the Bún Riêu next time.

The workers here are nice and friendly. The restaurant is very clean. They even have a stage and karaoke. A lot of their food here was delicious. From hot pot to drinking food I mean aka beer.

The moment we walked in, service was a bit rude. We ordered banh xeo and pho. She took our order, then turned around and left before we finished. And while waiting, she sat down and ate with her fingers, wiping her mouth with the sleeve of her jacket.... then went to serve us our veggies with her dirty hands, coughing while doing so. The pho was a bit bland, banh xeo was decent. When we arrived, we were the only ones there, it was quiet, no music but when someone else arrived, as we were leaving, they turned music on.

Bo Ne (NY steak): 2/5. Pretty disappointing. Well done steak, a tat of pate, one egg, a few strands of French fries, 4 pieces of mushrooms, and onions. It's only salty. No flavor whatsoever.Won't order that again.Parking spaces are tight. Beware.

My friend and I both got the Bo Ne Filet Mignon and NY steak. We cut them in half and shared to see which one we liked better. They tasted similar to me except the NY steak has more pepper. I'm not sure if they forgot to give us pate since I didn't see any, and forgot to ask her because I didn't notice it was missing until I read more Yelp reviews after my visit. I've never seen a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco that has bo ne, so what a treat to try it for the first time here in San Jose! I really liked how beautiful, spacious, and clean the restaurant is. They have a large screen TV showing the Warriors game which is nice ambiance.

It has been a long while since I came here that I almost forgot their name haha. My friend who is local to the area took me and my friends to try out Ngoc Suong after hanging out around Grand Century.Me and one of my friends both ordered the bánh bèo, something I have not eaten in a long time. When I first looked at it I thought it wasn't anything special, but after eating it I became addicted and almost ordered a second tray of them. I see that some other reviews just thought the bánh bèo was okay, but I guess something about that day had me really liking it. Maybe it's not as good as it used to be now, but I thought it was good. The establishment is definitely an older vibe, you won't see too many young people eating here unless they're with their family. But if you're feeling hungry, this place is a decent option!

In the plaza across the street from Little Saigon.Came on Memorial day for an early dinner and it was empty except for one table.4/5 - Get their bo ne, which comes sizzling with meat, two eggs, pate and fries. The filet is tender, don't let it cook too long on the skillet.4/5 - Beef stew came with a good amount of meat and tendon. Hearty flavor and broth.4/5 - Nem nuong pork spring rolls. Has a crunchy eggroll shell on the inside. There's a large karaoke space in the back, I'm guessing it gets lit at night on the weekends. The waitress was spending half her time trying to login to Hulu on the big TV in the restaurant, but couldn't figure out how to do it, so she calls someone (likely her husband) on facetime and he's trying to help her. She still couldn't figure how to input the email and pswd. So one of the older guys at the other table comes over to help and they're literally spending 30 minutes yelling at each other, yelling at the guy on the phone, yelling at the TV. I almost got up to help them but I was enjoying my dinner and a show. They were too busy yelling at each other, so I didn't end up helping them on my way out and legend says, they're still trying to login to this day.

Ordered the Bo Ne Dac Biet. The filet mignon was very small and on the chewier side, and I chose to eat it with A1 sauce because it didn't have a super amazing natural meat flavor. The bread here is top notch 10/10, big, fluffy and crispy on the outside. The fries on top were good and crispy too. My family and I ate here for breakfast so while the meal was filling for a morning meal, it definitely would not have sufficed for dinner since the meat portion was so small. They also give you a simple salad with romaine lettuce, a vinegar dressing and a slice of tomato. I wouldn't go out of my way for this spot but it's alright if you're craving bo ne. I'd try the new york steak one next time instead though.

Bò Né Đặc Biệt is Vietnamese-style steak served on a sizzling hot cast iron plate. Ngoc Suong Restaurant serves their filet mignon beef in a pepper sauce along with an egg, mushrooms, onions, pâté, fries, French bread, and salad. Use the bread to scoop up some pâté, pepper sauce, egg, and steak for the ultimate bite. I'm pretty sure my toddler devoured more than I did, but that's only because it's so tasty. This one dish includes everything you could want with your steak. Ngoc Suong has two restaurant locations, both in San Jose. They serve a full menu of Vietnamese cuisine.

Decent bo ne (sizzling beef plate) platter with alot of variety. The baguette that it comes with is very crusty yet still soft and pillowy inside. This dish also comes with a small side salad. Would come again for their bo ne If I was craving it and would come back again to try other dishes.
