You get what you paid for.So far tummy still OK from eating here a few days ago.I went here for my dad's birthday, and I didn't know that if you bring 2 extra people the birthday person gets to eat for free! But it has to be your birthday that very day.Mostly came here for the crab legs and sushi lol and it was pretty decent! Ambiance takes me back to the early 2000s idk I think the last time I was here was when I graduated middle school! Very nostalgic for me!

Phew! This place is the spot to be for Sunday lunch. I visited Newark Buffet with my family (party of 5) on Sunday for lunch and it was PACKED. There were folks waiting inside and outside and even the dining area was so full. After putting our name down, we waited about 15 minutes. Luckily, my parents spent that time checking out 85 bakery next door.Like any buffet, once seated, you can place your drink orders then get up to fill your plates. They have lots of different food options here: a sushi station, a fried food station, lots of seafood, a dessert station, a salad / fruits station, and even an area where you can get fried noodles made on the spot. There's a little bit of everything for everyone - but you'll get the most bang for your buck here if you like seafood. At $30 per person, the unlimited crawfish, sushi, etc will definitely get you the value of your meal. The food itself is good not great - but you're not here for a gourmet meal, right? At the end of day, you'll get your fill of many different kinds of foods and that's what buffets are all about. It was clean overall and the staff is constantly refilling the buffet tables. They're also quick to pick up plates from your table and bring new drinks.I will say, this is not the place for a quiet intimate meal. Again, it was very crowded which meant it was pretty loud and not so peaceful. Lots and lots of people around with chairs even getting in the middle of walkways. Go here if you really want a buffet (obvi), but in my opinion, you could get a better meal for the money at a different restaurant.

I wouldn't recommend Newark Buffet if cleanliness is something you care about. When I went to grab a spoon from the spoon holder, I found dirt--or something equally gross, which was a huge red flag. Things got worse at the Mongolian BBQ grill area, where I saw the cook take food that had fallen onto the dirty counter and put it back into its container. That level of unsanitary handling was shocking. The food itself was okay, but it's hard to enjoy a meal when you're worried about the overall hygiene. If you're looking for a safe and clean dining experience, I'd suggest going elsewhere.

It's been 15 years and still going in this place and they never disappoint me. Their food is always fantastic! My all time favorite is the "clam with black beans". They even have a full section row of sushi; a noodle section (stir fry) they will cook it front of you!. They also have a section for salad and dumplings and soups (which i like the most is the hot and sour soup) And to top it off a Jasmin tea in a pot is only $.98! Sometimes i endulge myself a cone of ice cream (yes they have unlimited ice cream too! It comes in a dispenser. All ithe waiter/waitress are in full alert to removed your used plates, you better keep you fork and spoon on the side though if tou decide to gi for your second which i usually did! This place is very well good in groups. Got a one minute gatherings? No problem, the restaurant can accommodate a maximum capacity of 240 people! Weekdays is not so crowded and a bit cheaper too, so when im craving for my clams you see me running in this place even by myself or with a companion. This is the best buffet in town! come and try it!

Decent food for what it is. If you eat the crab legs and seafood then it's worth your money. If you only eat the hot food, then I can't really recommend. Sushi station is average but decent selection. Buffet stations were consistently refilled and food was hot. Service is pretty good. Drinks came out right away and they gave plenty of napkins. Plates were cleared routinely. Usually pretty crowded even on weeknights. $27.99 M-TH dinner $29.99 Friday and weekend dinner

Buffet time ;) I've been wanting to come here for the past 2 years and finally came here. We came for dinner time and waited around 50 minutes for our table? Which isn't bad at all! For the two of us it was just right under $80. Which isn't too bad, esp for the experience. They unexpectedly have a wide variety of stuff;- clams, snow crab, scallop- raw fish - dessert, ice cream - fruit EtcStaff are also very friendly and quick! We're definitely going to be back

Not many all you can eat buffets here in the Bay Area, but I would daresay this one is the best for your money, especially if you are into seafood. There can definitely be long wait times during peak days and times, but, plan ahead and you can be seated fairly quickly. All the food was fresh and tasty and I love the array of dessert and the soft serve machine. Service was super attentive, restaurant was clean, and I love the diversity of the clientele.

Decent place to get your buffer fix. Came on a Saturday for lunch and it was peak hours so waited a little under 30 minutes to get seated.Prices are ok but they do charge you for soft drinks or juices. We weren't aware of this since we were first timers. My favorite was the salmon nigiris, which are always gone so fast so you really need to time it to when the sushi chef brings it out. Sushi section not bad. The baked cheesy mussels were also good. They have someone managing the grill area for stir fry noodles (add whatever toppings you want). The cooked oyster was also pretty good. The scallop shells tasted like imitation crab mixed w cheese and no scallops. The dimsum area and fruit area was a bit weak. Interior seems like they've been around for a while. There is parking in the plaza. Would come back if in the area but would not go out of the way for it.

Puts other buffets to shame, only outdone by Moonstar which no longer operates as a restaurant. Fresh hibachi noodles so good, dumplings so delish. The only complaint I have was the salmon was flavorless and dry but everything else was a party in my mouth. Will be coming back
