This food is AMAZING! Best Indian food in San Jose hands down!! I live nearby so maybe I'm biased but my husband and I love this place so much. Don't let the outside scare you, it's definitely a hole in the wall. Garlic naan is out of this world amazing!!! 10/10 recommend. Also the service from the men working here is so sweet and endearing. They're never rude, always polite. And it's not crazy expensive! I love this restaurant! Hope they never ever go out of business!!!!

Wonderful. Our server/ manager?/ owner? ( no idea) was Great! Personable and cheerful, made sure our experience was as it should be, and it was. We had the Chicken Vindaloo ( cubed chicken breast in a spicy red sauce, very tasty. We also had the Lamb Biryani , lamb Curry and we exchanger our plain naan with chicken and the other with paneer naan. Spice to the asking. Will return. Little parking on siteAre you here yet?

Great food! Little kept secret and Willow Glen. My brother and I used to go there at least once a week. Not the greatest ambience but great food.

I stopped by to get takeout here with some friends and got the paneer korma. The food was ready when I arrived, as I had ordered ahead. It doesn't come with naan or rice included in the price, so I had opted to use naan from home instead.I thought the paneer korma was decent since it was creamy and savory. However, I did try some of my partner's chicken korma and was surprised that the chicken korma was really salty, much more so than the paneer korma and to an unpleasant extent, even though I would assume they are using the same base for both of these dishes, just switching the protein. Maybe it was just an off day and a lot of salt was accidentally added to that chicken korma.

I'm giving this spot a current overall rating of a "3," but I am willing to give them another try, since I've been told the butter chicken is tasty, I just didn't know the menu calls it something else (makhanwala)... I looked over the menu multiple times, but missed it in the description - ugh! My own fault, but still a bummer! Pros: my family liked the chicken tikki masala, that had good flavor. Cons: the chicken tikka (grilled, no creamy sauce) was quite dry. It was kinda hard to eat on its own, even with squeezing the lemon it came with on it (and I squeezed every last drop!) Eventually we just put it all in the masala sauce, so that we could eat it. The garlic naan has potential, we've had better, but it has good elements to it. Maybe it was over steamed from the delivery... the texture was off.And not a pro or a con, more of an FYI- the prices aren't so bad, but then the portions aren't so big either (kind of a wash in that regard). I think if I had just ordered the chicken masala, garlic naan, and the butter chicken, maybe it would have been rated higher. Will try again and let you know afterwards!

Love this place! It's our usual go-to when we are craving Indian food. We typically order the chicken butter with rice and a la carte spinach paneer. Sometimes, we'll get a serving filled with chicken and paneer, and other times, there's not enough protein - so they could work on consistency. We will keep paneer in our freezer to add to the leftover spinach paneer the next day. Garlic naan is a must!

This is a small unassuming restaurant in a nondescript building. Wow, I did not expect much but the food was excellent. Don't go here for the ambience or decor but certainly go for the food. The paneer tikka masala, paneer naan and malai kofta were great. A tad spicy though I asked for mild but still very good. Docking a star for the quiz I had to endure before I was able to pick up the food I ordered online. ;-) Perhaps they have had issues with people stealing other's to-go orders.

Ordering: easily through the phone.Parking: Small lot, might need to street park if it's full.Food: Butter chicken & naan.Butter chicken 4/5Very heavy butter flavor, non-existent tomato flavor (which every other butter chicken had heaps of in the area that i've tried). Was pretty good to eat with rice but I missed having a little bit of the tomato flavor. Good portion size. Chicken was tender.Naan was pretty standard, good sized pieces and paired well with the butter chicken. Was pretty happy with this meal and will be back in the future

I have been wanting to try this place for years based on how good it smells when you walk by...I live a few blocks away from them. I hadn't tried it as it wasn't always the most appealing building/location. But this past Friday I did take and YES! It takes as good as it smells. I ate leftovers all weekend...couldn't get enough. I had the chicken curry, chicken tikka, and saag. The curry and saag were my favorites. It is definitely going to be a regular for me (which is a big deal since I didn't do a lot of take out so it has to be great for me to ick it).
