Naked Fish

This is a great place to eat udon on a chilly evening! We also tried the donburi that had a good proportion & came with a complimentary miso soup. The food was great but minus one star because they only had two servers for the whole restaurant and they couldn't keep up with all the tables. They checked in on us once but we had to wait a long time to get the check.

Second time eating here... called an order in 15 mins to closing, 8:45pm October 19th, picked my food up, got home... opened the bag and noticed something brown underneath my food..... it was a BIG DEAD ROACH IN MY BAG. I drove back and brought them the bag, told them to open it and they seen it theirselves, all they kept saying was how SORRY they were... I still can't believe this happened. They told me that never happened before and the bags came from China so that's probably what it was but when you open the bag to put my food in there, you guys didn't notice!????I was too scared to even take a picture. At least I got my money back but still, DISGUSTING!!! It's a good place but I'm so traumatized now I WON'T EVER EAT HERE AGAIN

This was my first (and hopefully last) time I've had greasy sushi. I didn't know sushi could be greasy like a burger, but it was, I ordered a lion king. I typically order a lion king from anywhere I get sushi; this was the worst lion king I've ever experienced anywhere. It will not be a repeat purchase. There were a few other turn-offs as well. I asked a question about the content of a sushi roll and was met with an "I don't know" by the staff. I find this incredibly suspicious. Also, we ordered several sushi rolls, they were all packaged together in one to-go box (we ordered takeout) and were not separated. This made separating the orders from all our party members very difficult. This experience was surprisingly disappointing. I won't be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know - whether I like them or not!

This place is great!!!The rolls were really good, the lemon drop was so good and the chef gave us some sushi to try and it was so good. The baked mussels were really good too.The team was super nice and helpful and happy to give recommendations.I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

This establishment make my day after working so hard. The food is always the best especially the dragon roll and california roll. Wide parking area cause it was co-parking with other establishment. The place is quiet to light noise. Good place to hang around with your buddies. I lived nearby for almost 7 years, and now i visited these place the second time, still the same flavor and services, keep it up!

It was Friday date night, and my better half and I didn't want to drive far, so we tried Naked Fish. We've driven, but only a few times. It's in a strip mall by Safe Way and 24 Hour Fitness. There is plenty of parking.The restaurant is small but has roughly 14 tables set up in 4 tops and 2 tops, and there are about a dozen chairs around the sushi bar. Decor is just okay. Don't sit at the front tables by the door; you will freeze. We did, and we ended up asking to move.The menu is a fairly normal sushi restaurant menu. They did have specials, but we were never told them. They have them written on a chalkboard, but then people sit in front of the chalkboard, so we didn't see it until after our order was taken.We ordered:Bento BoxTwo Miso SoupsAgedashi TofuSpicy Tuna RollMiso soup was super tasty and very nice on a chilly night.Bento was good. My better half enjoyed it.Agedashi Tofu was good. The sauce was a bit salty, but I like that, so it didn't bother me. The tofu was soft and creamy.Spicy tuna roll--I never received it, so I wouldn't know. I had the tofu and soup and ordered the spicy tuna roll. My better half and I shared the tofu, and then his Bento arrived. Still no Tuna Roll. My better half literally had one piece of chicken left on his plate when a server asked me, "Can we get you anything?" I said you never brought me dinner. They never came back and told me why. They did apologize and remove my soup and tofu from the bill.I don't know if they were understaffed or just focusing more on the number of to-go orders they had, but I left hungry.The staff is very kind. They are the reason for the two stars. I hate downing local businesses. However, the system has to get better. I'm just not sure how you missed my dinner. Anyway, life goes on.One other thing to note: They charge you for take out containers. You mean if I buy my food, sit down in the restaurant, eat, and don't finish, I have to pay you more to take it home with me? Nice. I'll bring Tupperware next time.It was not a great experience, but again, kudos to the staff for trying. I'll be back to try again.Remember to eat local!

I went here because my fav spot in Fremont has closed. The service was great! I was offered tea while I waited for my sushi. The sushi was good, but the start of the show for me was the gyozas!!! Sooo good !!! They are a little more pricey but I feel like it was worth it!

Naked Fish is a cool spot for Japanese food. Staff is friendly and attentive. I like the baked mussels. The topping is creamy and compliments the mussels. The spicy tuna rolls are delicious. It's a favorite of ours to order. The assorted sashimi is good. Decent sized pieces of fish and tastes fresh. Teriyaki chicken is good. It's one of my favorites on the menu.

This is my favorite sushi place around! I've been coming here fir several years and I'm never disappointed. I always get their Sunny California roll and my absolute favorite roll is their Hawaiian roll because it has a little bit of sweet with the coconut shrimp but also a little bit of spicy.The staff is also very friendly which is definitely a plus!

This place is not the same - the food sucks and not to mention the portions for the price point - I understand prices have to go up - but this is a typical restaurant downhill model- charge more with food quality goes down $25 for 6 little piece of dirty fried sesame chicken- plus the owner is loud telling the workers not to serve too much old fish and meat - SAD THIS PLACE WAS SOOO GOOD BACK THEN - owner has established customers who know the food sucks but since they don't know where else to go they come back - explore - take risks - there are other Japanese restaurants that would love your service and make you fresh sushi - this place should have been closed down a long time ago -
