Clean and surprisingly empty for a Saturday evening. We got to pick where we wanted to sit. Menu is more extensive. We ordered the mixed egg noodles with soup on the side. We appreciated the scissors and bowl for our toddler. The noodles were cooked perfectly and there was enough for me to share with my kid and still be full. Soup was good and not overly salty. Bathrooms in the back - clean.CASH ONLY.

Our party of 5 visited on a Saturday around 11:30AM. The restaurant was pretty empty with maybe 3-4 other tables occupied. Service was minimal.I got the Hu Tieu Nam Vang Dac Biet original and thought it was pretty good! Standard toppings, flavorful sauce that coats all the noodles, and not too oily. The dried shrimp bits were good. Soup was ok. The other people in my party got pho, hu tieu sate bo, and banh lot nam vang. They were all okay-below average. 3.5 stars if considering other dishes. 4 stars stars if just considering hu tieu nam vang :)

I heard that that N&K was branched off from San Jose's OG Hu Tieu Nam Vang spot on Alvin! They offer a variety of dishes but I had the original hu tieu bowl...dry of course!Bowl appeared to be small but when actually eating..it was quite a bit of food. Loaded with lots of proteins and a hot bowl of soup (with the pork rib). If you order the donut and meatball, it's an extra couple dollars so expect to spend $20 here per person.Restaurant is very new and clean, not many people eating at all but hopefully they do well. Service was good and it was a solid bowl of noodles!I typically bring cash when I eat anywhere on eastside but formally, they only take cash or Zelle only for now! They told me in the future, they will accept credit cards.

I decided to stop here because I was craving Hu Tieu, and I'm glad I gave it a try. The Hu Tieu soup was served on the side, but overall, the food and portions were just average. the prices were reasonable, making it a good spot for a casual meal. My only complaint is that they didn't come around to refill our water, which would have made the experience more enjoyable. On a positive note, the restaurant is spacious, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely return to explore more of their menu and see if other dishes stand out.

New clean spot for hu tieu! My party ordered both the original hu tieu dry and the sour and spicy hu tieu dry to try and we liked both, and actually preferred the sour and spicy version! It wasn't too sour or spicy but had a nice added kick compared to the original. The noodles were perfectly cooked with the right amount of chewiness, and the toppings were good. The soup was clear but still flavorful, and I liked the chunks of meat and bone in it. I also like how they provide the condiments right on the table and are not skimpy like other restaurants. The waitress convinced us to get the xiu mai (meatball) and the chinese donut. Both were meh. I would recommend just the hu tieu. Food: 5/5 (only considering hu tieu) Service: 5/5 Price/Portion: 5/5

*CASH ONLY* I was craving hu tieu and wanted to try a different spot from our usual rotation. So we decided to try N & K Noodle inside Grand Century Mall. It took over the old Com Tom Thien Huong spot. They had a sign saying, "From the 30 YEARS Original Owner of Hu Tieu." My husband asked the cashier lady about the signage and she said that this location was opened by one of the son's of the lady owner of Nam Vang off Alvin Ave. We came on a Wednesday around 10:45am and there was one table of people eating. The restaurant was clean, bright and surprisingly spacious. The lady came over and took our order just as soon as we sat down but we knew what we wanted already. We ordered..HU TIEU NAM VANG DAC BIET $14.95 -special cambodian rice noodle. We had it dry style. It came with shrimp, squid, ground pork, dried shrimp, sliced pork, liver and heart. Topped with fried garlic and cilantro. The meat and seafood tasted fresh. The noodles were chewy and they premix the sauce into the noodles for you. It was too bland for us so we asked for more of their sauce. Tasting the sauce by itself, it tasted like Maggi seasoning soy sauce. I also added lime juice, chili sate oil and their pickled green chilies. I still was too light and bland for our tastes. The small pork bone soup on the side came out piping hot, which was good. 3/5* They also offer a spicy and sour version of their hu tieu nam vang, which I thought was interesting. DAO CHAU QUAY $3.50 -chinese donut. YUM. It was warm and crispy with a chewy center. A lot of places tend to overheat or they're stale or the donut has a burnt oil taste but N&K is almost perfect. It was just really small for the price: 4.5/5*XIU MAI $3.50 -pork meatball. Good, soft and tasty. 4/5*They also offer mi (egg noodles), com dia (rice plates), com chien (fried rice), hu tieu xao (chow fun), mi xao (chow mein) and even a hand pull noodle dish. Service was really friendly. When the waiter came out to bring us our food he ask, "did you want anything extra? Uncle will get it for you." Which is very uncommon in a vietnamese restaurant so we were pleasantly surprised when he asked us this! Every worker we encountered was nice too.

My BD has been throwing out this noodle shop numerous times and for some unknown reason, I always ended up declining. With our last visit to Grand Century, I caved decided on N & K Noodle for dinner since my little one was feeling soup. The entire restaurant was bare, not a single patron. Upon entering you are hit with a strong smell of cleaning products- points for the obvious cleanliness but minus some because the smell was too strong IMO. Menus were brought out and after reviewing things, we went with:-HU TIEU NAM VANG DAC BIET [special Cambodian rice noodle]-HU TIEU DO BIEN, requested for hu tieu tuoi [seafood rice noodle soup, request made for fresh rice noodles]-DAU CHAO QUAY[chinese donuts]The food was presented nicely. At first glance, the seafood noodle soup was an immediate let down because "seafood" primarily consisted of imitation crab. A few shrimp and scarcely slices of squid was also found in the bowl. The noodles portion was stingy but it didn't really matter because the noodles broke apart abnormally easy. Picking them up with chopsticks was extremely hard and I'm not even going to go into the struggles I endured just to get a noodle pic for Yelp!!The Cambodian special noodles looked a lot more promising. The traditional dark soy found in this dish was evenly distributed and the sauce wasn't skimpy like other places. This is where the positives kind of end... despite the noodles looking very coated and sauced up, the flavoring was extremely bland. All that sauce and I literally got NOTHING. As a final attempt to flavor things up I quickly turned to the hoisin sauce and the pickled green peppers. 2 stars and I'm so disappointed to have to give this rating. Quality and taste is a miss and the portions don't help. I won't be back and if you are in search of legit Nam Vang noodles, this spot won't do it for you either.

Impressed. There's usually no crowds and not too busy inside. I rarely see customers inside sometimes. Clean and spacious environment. The place always seem desperate for customers. 5/5 for great tasting foods here, at least for the just under $20 Bo Xeo (Bo Ne style) sizzling steak and egg plate. Bo Ne usually comes with two eggs. You only get one huge egg here. Rice portion was huge. I couldn't finish the last few scoops of rice. Quick seating. Younger staff speaks good English. You can pick baguette bread or just plain white rice with the plate. I asked if they can give me a hot side soup since it wasn't listed on the menu. They delivered and served well. Basically, they take care of your off menu requests too. Hot tea in pot has $0.59 charge to it. It's not the hottest tea though. Just simple and convenient. Credit cards accepted. Table space was very comfortable. Loved the spacing. You can look around and watch people walking by around Century Mall here in Vietnam Town. I am actually surprised that their tempting sizzling steak tasted great. This isn't usually the type of place I would pick for Bo Ne style stuff. Soft, tender, sizzling & juicy. I was able to cut through the entire thing with no problems. Pepper sauce was excellent. I can really taste all the flavors of peppers, onions, and mushrooms sauteed. I really enjoyed the noticeable black peppers used to marinate my steak. The sauce didn't disappoint as it went very well with my white rice. I haven't sliced into a very delicious steak in a long time. Good combination to satisfy this hungry appetite on an early Sunday morning. Yes, I arrived hungry with fast metabolism. I sat inside for one full hour and took my time to eat. This restaurant is located in a good and convenient area. Not congested. I would revisit again. Great first impression so far to start the new year. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. They want business. It's really as good as it looks here in my photos. Not cheap, but especially tasty. Paid around $25 in cash today for everything on my table. Extremely satisfied.

Yummy yummy. Came here with some friends after an event. Got their Nam Vang noodle the spicy and sour version (it's not really spicy). Surprising it wasn't too bustling on a Sunday afternoon so service was prompt and it was pretty quiet. Nice casual set up to seat small and larger groups. Food came out the way I liked it which is the dry noodle with a side broth and pork meat and bone. I pretty much devoured everything. Will make sure to come back another day. But only draw back is that they only take cash.

** visited on Weds. 7/10/2024 with a group of 12 Came here with family after a long day of traveling. N & K Noodle is a good spot for hu tieu and to bring a large group to. The restaurant took over the location of Com Tam Thien Huong inside Grand Century Mall- it's still pretty spacious and bright inside. *** CASH ONLY *** The staff members were kind and welcoming, as well as pretty accommodating despite our large group. They were quick to help us out and take our orders. OKAY THE FOOD: I had ordered Hu Tieu Nam Vang dry, and it was pretty tasty and fulfilling though it was a pretty average bowl from other San Jose locations. I appreciate that the toppings weren't skimpy and the bone meat (suong) was fairly big. Definitely give this spot a try if you're wanting a simple bowl of hu tieu and quick seating.
