Weather was great today to walk around the Mtn View Farmers' Market. One of my favorites is the shrimp nachos or oysters at La Marea of the Sea. It's nice to see what all the vendors have and check prices because it varies. I still have an African mint growing in my backyard that I bought here a few years ago. It can get crowded and some people seem to be in a rush. Today's new and different item was a regular croissant at Adorable Bakery. I had a craving for a fresh buttery pastry. I should have taken a better look at their croissants first. This was not your typical flaky croissant. It tasted and looked like one of the first croissants that I ever made. I was lucky my family loved them. This one brought back some good memories .

Decent Farmers Market with plenty of food choices and fresh produce. I tried veg samosa and chicken shittake Mandu. The Chicken Shittake Mandu had a harder, less fluffy breading than expected. Veggie Samosa had a surprisingly starchy filling: potato mashed with peas carrots and spices. Liked the crunchy outer breading and there is a spicy kick at the end. Many families and friends out and about to the extent parking can be difficult but there is a parking lot structure which is not too bad of walk from the actual market.

Definitely one of the bigger farmers' markets in the Bay Area! The Mountain View Farmers' Market is open all year round on Sundays, rain or shine. It's very crowded (especially during the warmer months) and finding parking can be a huge challenge. I would recommend arriving right when they open at 9AM, but sometimes not all the vendors are there yet. The market has a good selection of produce, flowers, cheese, meet, prepared foods, wine, etc. They also usually have a live music performer. Some of the vendors do accept credit cards, but generally charge a bit more than if you pay with cash. I've gotten coffee at the market, but it's really nothing special. My favorite vendors are the Roti stand, which is so generous with their free samples, and sells tasty stuffed roti and various dips. The bakery vendors are also fantastic, and I enjoyed the Pizza from Little Sky Kitchen and the Lasagna from Adorable French Bakery. The market sadly does not allow dogs. Overall though, worth a visit!

This is the first time my wife and I came to this Farmers Market. Wow, it was crowded, but not too bad. A lot of vendors, produce, live music, hot food, everything you would want at a Farmers Market. The bakeries caught my wife's attention like Acme Bakery, The Midwife and the Baker, etc.The fruit samples I got from.one of the local farmers had very sweet Asian apple pears, oranges, blood orange. We'll be back.

Since moving to Mountain View, this has been my favorite local activity to do in the city. Maybe it's a part of growing older, but something about a large farmers market with 80+ vendors weekly makes this 30-something very happy. To start, most Farmer Market Sundays are hosted in the parking lot of the Mountain View Caltrain Station. Because of the space and the number of vendors, you get a whole variety of different stalls, ranging from seasonal fruit & vegetable produce, cheese & dairy, breads & pastries, cooked dishes across many cuisines, juices/ciders/ginger beer, floral products... if you can think of it, they probably have a stall for it! Heck, you can even bring your knives to get sharpened here! You can easily spend an hour here getting lost in the different stalls sampling the local produce. I have my personal favorites (Ginger Lab for rotating ginger beer flavors, Adorable French Bakery for baked goods, various fruit vendors), but you'll definitely walk out buying at least one thing. Prices appear comparable or slightly more than what you may find at grocery stores like Safeway, Lucky, or Whole Foods. Of course you could always save a bit at Costco, but I've found that the quality of produce to be better at the Farmer's Market most of the time compared to Costco. For parking, you may find yourself disappointed if you're circling for parking either in the Caltrain parking lot or in the immediate blocks next to the market. I like going down to the parking structure in downtown Mountain View and then walking 5 mins over - it helps that parking is free throughout downtown, so it's a much easier solution than circling around hoping to find a spot!

This is one of the better farmers' markets in the bay area. I visited this past Sunday, and they had beautiful colorful flower stands, live music, wine tents selling bottles, the typical offerings for fresh produce and fruits (including strawberries galore... yum!!), and A LOT of hot food stands selling tantalizing treats like dumplings, seafood tacos, and hot chocolate. I ended up grabbing some baked goods from Adorable French Bakery which made for a filling snack. The crowds here were not overbearing, though the vendors do seem to keep busy. Friendly environment, however not for pets (according to the sign). There are plenty of parking lots along Hope Street, as well as free street parking nearby, which will still be convenient when the MV Farmers' Market relocates to their new location several blocks away (closer to Pioneer Park) starting in October.

I used to frequent this market pre Covid and in the last two years have started coming back. I usually arrive between 9-9:30 and can find parking in the nearby city lots or street instead of dealing with the congested station parking lot. Some of our favorite stands here that we pretty much get something each visit include Acme, the Chinese dumpling place, and laundromat bagel. The produce is a bit pricier than other markets but we found the most delicious English peas and okra there recently. We tend to only pick one fruit to get a few of but each time they have been tasty be it the berries or now the nectarines. We still like paying in cash but many vendors have other payment options. It does get a tad crowded by the time we leave (usually 10). I do have to keep an eye out for strollers and bikes as sometimes people meander without paying attention.

I'm surprised I had not shared my review for this Sunday morning FARMERS MARKET. Since I have been to both locations (Bryant lot and Caltrans parking lot, I have to give it a 3 star as it's an average of both locations. The Caltrans location is the primary location. The Bryant lot is usually used when there is an NFL 49er home game or perhaps when Caltrans needs their lot for their own event, etc.The Caltran station (corner of Castro Street and Evelyn) location is easy to get to, the side parking lot is well-maintained and clean and the market aisles or pathways are wider, imho. Vendors are very friendly and nice. This FARMERS MARKET has an array of seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad greens, eggs, micro-green plants, milk, a few packaged foods that you can pick up and take home as well as honey, plants, seafood. But like with every farmers market offerings may be seasonal and vendors may vary, but for the most part, you will likely see the same vendor the next week so it's great to form a foodie relationship with them.As for the Bryant lot, parking is very hard. I am not sure if there is a lot to park in but it seems like I circled around 10 times just to find street parking. I saw people crossing California Street so I am assuming there are parking over there and crossing to get to the farmers market, the aisles or pathways were narrower, and the ground was not as smooth as the other location. My shopping partner commented its very condensed meaning every booth was tightly squeezed in as well the aisles. Very claustrophobic.Prices are a little pricier. 2 large Cara Cara was $7.50 or $8.00 here. While I went to another local farmers market and I bought 3 of the same size for $7.50, plus an extra 2 tangerines that vendor threw in for free. Both cara2 oranges were organic but priced more here. But my favorite booth is Far West Fungi. I love mushrooms, especially Lions Mane and shitake, but they offer dozens of mushrooms.Overall, if you ask me about the CalTran location, it's a 5. But the other location is a 1 star (for the location and accessibility issues)Tip: I Sign up so you'll know the fruit, vegetable or product of the season. Newsletter comes with vendor highlights or tributes, as well as recipes.

The Mountain View farmers market is one of the most fun and crowded ones I've been to in the South Bay! There were so many vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies to cheeses, meats, and baked goods. The organization made sense, with the ready to eat food (naan, curries, pizzas, oysters etc) along one side. I only saw about 4-6 tables though so not easy to find a place to eat. It was very crowded but still kid and pet friendly. Parking was relatively easy with free street parking along the residential areas, with roughly a 5-10 minute walk. Many of the desirable bakery items such as from Acme bread were long gone by mid morning. The fruits can be very pricey as well, even more than Whole Foods. If you're looking for an affordable farmers market, this isn't it. For example, the De Anza college farmer's market is much more affordable.
