I love the decor of Morella. It's like you were brought back on a time capsule back to the 80's, but with a modern twist. I love the non traditional chairs and soft booths; it makes for a comfortable setting and the warm tone on the walls and beautiful gigantic plants that divides the areas adds so much character to the room.I loved that they serve coffee and cocktails for brunch :) -----------------------------White mocha latte: strong coffee taste, creamy.MAZCAL COCKTAIL: good burnt mazcal flavor if you're into that.MOJITO: was not expecting it to be in slushy form but it was nonetheless tastyNEGRONI: very sharp and has a floral complexity. Also comes with a side of rose so that was a nice surprise :)BEEF AND CHICKEN EMPENADAS: cant go wrong with empenadas! These are fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and full of flavor inside. Comes with 3 fun sauces to dip them in.LAMB BOLOGNASE: The star of the show. We didn't know what to get, but the waiter said the bolognaise was good but I was a bit skeptical since I don't eat lamb but the waiter convinced me that because the sauce is cooked and stewed for so long, you can't even taste the gaminess .. and he was correct. It was probably one of the best bolognaise I've ever had. It's not that saucy but the flavor is in the thick, rich tomato based sauce and it sticks to the fresh tasting pasta like glue. Get this, you won't regret it.

I was really excited to try this place as it took the place of the Dorian and it's a great location and large space with ample amount of seating! They did an amazing job with the decorations. It's fun, stylish and luxurious.I love the fun twist on food here. Argentine meets Italian. we loved the empanadas, particularly the pork empanada was our favorite! We shared everything which is my love language and really enjoyed the midnight pasta and the Argentine steak. The steak comes as an à la cart menu item and you can add on sides which we chose not to this time! I'm in my pasta was very garlic, which I personally loved but caution for anyone who isn't a garlic loverThis was a perfect date night spot! Definitely recommend getting a reservation prior! We will be back

We goin start with the positives. Positively beautiful inside. The aesthetic got me soaked. The TikTok's and social media do not do the place justice. Staff was really kind. Now let's talk business. The food was Mid. The ravioli came with 5 pieces and the filling was minimal. The braised short ribs were tasteless. It was literally just texture. Additionally, it took us 2+ hours in there with 1.8 hours of waiting for drinks and food to arrive. Cute place, for the vibes. Not for the belly

I had a hard time picking what to review this place - there were good things and not so good things. We came here for a light lunch on my birthday since we were in the area and I had seen this place on TikTok. Obviously first off, the decor and interior was absolutely stunning, so colorful and bright and fun! The service was not so good, there seemed to be only one waiter and he seemed overwhelmed I felt bad! The food took ages to come out and we only got appetizers and a mocktail. We ordered the cherry blossom mocktail which was good And had nice flavors. For food we got the arancini which was just okay, and the avocado bruschetta which was actually just avocado toast - and had absolutely no flavors or any salt so that was disappointing. They did bring ice cream with a sparkler which was nice and that tasted very good. I probably wouldn't come back but it was nice to check it out once!!

My friend and I had a really great Sunday night dinner and shared the empanadas with beef, caprese salad, Dungeness crab sorrentinos, broccolini and half rack of the grilled lamb chops. All of the dishes were excellent. The empanadas with beef were a good starter. The caprese salad was nice and refreshing. The Dungeness crab sorrentinos was the perfect pasta dish and was the highlight of the meal for me. The grilled lamb chops and broccolini was a great main entree and side dish combination. Service was really good and attentive. The space itself is nice and cavernous. With tax and tip, this was under $80, which is great value for the meal. Highly recommended if you are looking for good pasta and lamb. I'll be back.

I kept seeing this place on Instagram and decided to stop by for my birthday.I want to start off by stating how beautiful this place was. My friend and I were definitely wowed when we walked in.The hostess was super nice. And the first guy who introduced himself to us was super nice and charming and we were excited to have him as our server. I don't know how the serving industry works or how competitive it could be but a second guy came and swooped up on us and he didn't have the same energy as the first guy and I don't want to say he was aggressive, he just wasn't as charming and thoughtful I guess. And after we placed our order with him a third person comes and says she's been on break and that she would be our server for the night. Lol so it was a bit confusing on who our server was.Anyways. My friend and I ordered the beef Argentinian empanadas and garlic bread as appetizers. The empanadas weren't bad but their sauces were lacking a bit. The taste of the sauces kind of takes you on a little ride. It starts off with some flavor and then it ends a little bland. I definitely wish that the sauces were more flavorful or have some sort of kick to it.For my entree I got the 10 ounce Argentinian picanha steak while my friend got the dungeness crab sorrenti. My steak was served pretty much cold and it tasted bland and burnt. It also was definitely not a 10 ounce steak. The portion of my friend's pasta was definitely small. She said the best part of it was probably the crab, other than that there was nothing really to rave about it.We did get free gelato for my birthday and I think that might have been the best part of the whole meal and the garlic bread.Overall we spent over $200 on our meal and were left still hungry. This experience felt very underwhelming from the bland food to the small portions, I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

Enjoyed a nice evening at Morella's bar. The Messi Mojito was a standout - perfectly refreshing and fruity. Tried the baked oysters and arancini for appetizers, both solid choices. I would definitely order them again. The interior is beautifully designed, making it perfect for a special occasion. Looking forward to coming back for a proper dinner next time.

As others have mentioned, Morella seems to be pretty hit or miss... staff was friendly, ambiance and decor were nice, but the food was very mediocre unfortunately. I ordered the carbonara, which was recommended by the server, and a side of broccolini. The carbonara was sadly bland with a few bright moments of pancetta... the broccolini was cooked and seasoned well but nothing special. The best part of the meal were the cocktails which both my friend and I enjoyed. I might be willing to give it another chance but wouldn't go out my way to dine here like I did the other day.

Everything was beyond amazing! From the food to the service and the restaurant itself is just beautiful! The lamb chops and the carbonara is some of the best I've ever had, and let's not even start with how awesome sauce the oysters were! An amazing experience. 10 out of 10, all the way around!

This establishment is very beautiful inside - there's a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, pink, green and zebra colored walls. They have small lamps where you can change the lighting to warm and cool tones. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. We came here to celebrate our best friend's birthday. When we came in we were greeted kindly and were immediately seated. We got some great pictures due to the decor. Unfortunately, I think we all had very high expectations due to the initial introduction. After we were seated, it kind of went down hill from there. When the waiter came to greet us, he seemed very kind, and we were all very excited. We had brought a small cake and were told by the waiter there was a cake fee. I'm going to be completely honest, we were a bit bummed because we had checked the website and didn't see any mention of a cake fee. I know some establishments have a cake fee, but I wish this location posted their cake fee policy online only because it comes a bit of a surprise when you're told in the moment. If the owner of the establishment see's this review, please add a note on the website/menu of any additional cake or bottle fees, so that it doesn't come as a surprise to the client when they are dining in your establishment. The waiter later asked us for our appetizers and drinks. We had ordered 1 appetizer and 3 drinks to start, and told the waiter we would continue to look through the menu for the main course. We waited for a very long time. We only got 2 drinks. A woman brought us our drinks. We let her know we were supposed to have a third drink. She said okay and left. We waited for what felt like 20-30mins - have no idea what happened. No idea if she forgot to let our waiter know, if she forgot overall, or didn't care, but that third drink never came. We saw our waiter assisting other tables. He was assisting a table next to ours (less than 3 ft away). We wanted to be polite and waited for him to finish helping his table to check in about our missing drink and appetizer, but he scurried off immediately after helping this table. At this point, my friends and I are getting frustrated because we're missing a drink, we haven't received our appetizer, our waiter hasn't checked in with us at all since he took our drinks/appetizer order and we still needed to place our main order. It didn't seem that busy but to give them the benefit of the doubt, I thought maybe it was possible they were short staffed and cut them some slack. There was an older gentleman checking in on everyone while pouring glasses of water. He came to our table to refill our waters and we took the opportunity to ask him if he could find out for us what happened to our order. He apologized on behalf of the staff, kindly let us know it was a busy night, and went to go check in on our order. If it wasn't for this gentleman, I would've given this establishment 1 star, but from this moment forward the experience became instantly better. The waiter came back and asked us what we wanted as an appetizer. We placed an order for a different appetizer, ordered the main course, and my friend ordered a different drink. Our food came out very quickly. The manager stepped in and brought us our dishes. One of the bartenders gave the birthday girl a complimentary drink. The presentation of the food was good. We expected the presentation and taste of the chicken Parmesan to be a little better, but overall I think the food was pretty good and we received nice portions. This is the experience we had originally expected, it's unfortunate that we had this service at the end of our dinner, but this is what saved the 1 star rating for me. Although this place is very beautiful, I am not sure I would personally come here or bring anyone here with me again.
