The first location I went to was the one in Santa Clara but I saw they had one in Cupertino which meant I had to stop by. It closely resembles Molly Tea in which it perfects the taste of tea rather than just having syrups and premade drinks at other boba shops. I really enjoy the modern interior and the waft of tea as soon as you enter the store. You know they are really brewing the tea in the back because the smell is very strong. In addition, the menu displays how much caffeine are in each drink to advice consumers what is best suited for them. I get the Dong Pao drink with Whipped Cream plus added pistachio bits on top. It is really creamy and tastes very delicious!

This used to be tiger sugar! What I got :Jasmine Milk Tea with whipped cream and figs : 4/5Strong Jasmine flavor without it tasting like grandma! I docked a point because I felt the whipped cream was needed and bay area pricing lolDa Hong Pao Milk tea : 3/5Average, tea flavor wasn't strong and whipped cream and pistachios ruined it for me personally :oWait time was enough to noticed but I think that's given because it's a soft opening but service was still nice. I really like the bag you have to pay for but it was only 25 cents so I felt like it was worth it :3Ambiance was nice in there but definitely busy, which is given since I came on a Sunday but not longer than Izumi lolOverall good alternative for a sweet treat that isn't Izumi

This is my new go-to spot for drinks! I visited with my cousin and we both agreed that their drinks are not overly sweet and very very aromatic. They have a display of tea leaves in the store, which I assume are used for the drinks, and you can definitely tell that good quality tea is what they specialize in.--Peach Oolong Milk Tea (less ice, full sweet): My all time favorite drink from here. It's very aromatic; you can taste both the peach and oolong flavor and they go so well together! I've come back a few times just for this drink. If you don't know what to order, you can't go wrong with this one!--Osmanthus Milk Tea (less ice, 75% sweet): Very aromatic! My cousin got this one and he likes drinks that are less sweet, and he said 75% was perfect for him but 100% would've been good too since their drinks aren't overly sweet anyway. We both have different tastes but he said he loved both drinks but if he had to choose, he liked the Osmathus a little more! They don't have too much variety on the menu, which is a good sign to me because it seems like they focused on perfecting the drinks that they do have. They also don't offer drink toppings but that's not a problem because their drinks alone are already really good!

The modern interior and decor immediately caught my attention as I walked past Gyu-Kaku, so I decided to stop by and give it a try!The line wasn't too bad, and I appreciated that they had the menu displayed outside. It's a nice touch, as it lets you decide what you want before reaching the kiosk (though they only have one).I ended up ordering the Roselle Peach Lemon Tea after seeing someone else with it, and I really enjoyed it! The tea was refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness. I was a bit surprised to find out they don't offer toppings like boba, lychee, or aloe, but after doing some research, I discovered that MoonTea's mission is to deliver the tradition, freshness, and authentic taste of Hunan (a province in China). It made sense after that--they're all about keeping it simple and true to their roots.I'd definitely come back and try their other popular drinks. This place seems like a great spot for a refreshing pick-me-up!

We came to check out this spot and got the following drinks:White Champaca Milk Tea: (5/5) we got the recommended 75% sugar level with less ice. First time trying this flavor and we absolutely enjoyed it! Didn't realize that this tea is from a magnolia flower but it makes sense since it does have a floral taste to it (learning something new everyday :)). Jasmine Milk Tea: (5/5) we got the recommended 75% sugar level with less ice. We normally get Jasmine Milk tea at our various go-to spots and have to play around with sweetness + ice levels but we thought the recommended 75% here was fairly less in sweetness (and on par with to our liking). Overall drink is not overpowering either.Sea Salt Green Milk Tea: (2/5) we got the recommended 50% sugar level with less ice. The mixture of the sea salt and the green tea just didn't go well to our liking despite it being a popular drink. Cost per drink was $5.75+ depending on modifications or add-ons. I would definitely come back again!Service was super fast!Ambiance was nice. Plenty was seating and clean.

Moontea doesn't offer toppings like boba, but if you're looking for a healthier or less indulgent option, it's a great choice. They do have whipped cream, but it's paired with a variety of nuts for added texture and flavor. Using whole milk gives their tea a rich, creamy taste. The packaging and cup design are elegant and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and I'm glad they opened this location in Cupertino--it's super convenient, right in the plaza with Daiso and Tokyo Supermarket.

Came on a Sunday and it's newly opened in Cupertino next door to Hui Lan Shan. There was a line but not too long to wait. You place your order off a kiosk and you get a number which shows up on the tv screen or you get a text. It didn't take long for my drink to come out. I ordered the standard black tea which is called Da Hong Pao. Reviews said it was strong but I didn't think so. Depends if the person is use to drinking sweet over the tea. On their menu, there are other drinks besides milk tea.I met up with a social group and they found their drinks to be good. The place is well lit and the decor gives it a cheery, casual environment. It wasn't too noisy. I was able to hear everyone. It was worth the drive to Cupertino from San Jose to enjoy the milk tea while window shopping and trying desserts in the plaza.

Chinese tea shops are gaining popularity now and this has been a solid choice since their first location in Sunnyvale!I'm happy to see them expanding. If you like fragrant teas and no toppings, this is perfect. Moon Tea does not do traditional boba toppings so if you're looking for that then don't go here. Their tea selection are overall much more fragrant and light. They enhance the tea with flavored whipped toppings if you want that variation.I personally love their jasmine, feels like I'm drinking the flower which I don't mind. The branding of their cups to their bags is very distinct and well executed. The store itself has a unique style and vibe. This location has seats but parking might be tough since it's in a crowded plaza. There's only one ordering kiosk in store but you can order online!

I think this used to be Tiger Tea? But I saw the line and I wanted to try. Line moves moderately fast as you order by kiosk. While there isn't boba available, you can get cheese foam on top. I got Jasmine milk tea with the recommended 75% sweetness, and it was perfect for me. I enjoyed my drink and look forward to trying more!

My new fav boba in the bay! Their peach oolong milk tea + cheese foam is so creamy, not too sweet, and has a strong tea flavor. Their tea packaging is also really pretty and good quality, they definitely put a lot of thought into it. The changsha stinky tofu is also a must try! It's crispy, not too stinky, and the spicy sauce is pretty good with it. They usually only have a small line on the weekend, but parking is definitely a bit annoying (but worth it).
