October- First time having food in Morgan Hill. Honestly I don't have 'data' in the area. Super hungry after an appointment and decided to make a left turn instead of right towards the way home.. and randomly was driving by.. spotted this and parked.First time having Japanese food with a fork was interesting. I did see one Filipino grandpa eat with chopsticks while the rest of his relatives also ate with forks.The food is really good - I got a bento and their chicken salad that comes with the bento is fire aka delicious (which is also advertised on their window in vinyl text).Service was nice, pleasant. Would recommend if you are in their area for whatever reason or work around there.Their patrons are pretty diverse and everyone seems to really excited over their food. (But, could the patrons learn/try to learn to use chopsticks.. that I would love to see).

Good food great service, not fancy but always solid! My favorite is the spicy pork and veggies. It comes with soup, and salad.

I was so disappointed! I ordered food for my lunch and the dasher called and said that they do not accept DoorDash on that time. Moon Kitchen charged me for cancellation of my order. That wasn't my fault and it was Moon kitchen's system is down.

Excellent. $95 well spent and the service is excellent. They're friendly :) it was my partner's first time here and enjoyed the food. he even liked the salad here!

Ordered takeout, was about to get unagi rolls but figured I should actually have a fuller meal. Opted for the dinner bento box - salmon teriyaki w/ California rolls (4 pc) and crispy California rolls (4 pc). Delicious, not the most most mind-blowing food but great when you're in the local area. I can't judge on service or ambiance too much since my aunt did a takeout for me and our family since I was visiting. Definitely open to having again as it still felt like comfort food and it definitely seemed to be like that for my family, so I want to explore more of the menu - for example the unagi rolls - whenever I visit again.

Super clean restaurant and very friendly staff. The food was amazing and the portion size for lunch was great. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

I can't believe this was my first time trying Moon's Kitchen. It's been around a very long time which is always a good sign. I don't live in the area but family does and they have always given it good reviews. I called in my order and opted for the Combination I which came with chicken salad, shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice and teriyaki chicken. It's not cheap at $19.95 but what is cheap anymore?? It was worth the price, I gotta say. The shrimp tempura were my fav, they were almost pounded thin and flat with just the right amount of tempura. It came with tempura dipping sauce or ranch and I honestly liked both. Teriyaki chicken was really good and on point. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chicken salad was, so simple but flavorful. I even had leftovers so that $20 meal was two meals for me! I will DEFINITELY return to Moons to try a few other items on their menu. I gobbled up my food so quickly when I got home but I managed to snap a pic of the inside dining room while waiting. Quaint little place that was pretty busy on this Friday night. Great option if looking for Japanese food plus a little more.

Their food was pretty good!Not amazing, but it's somewhere I'd go to again if I am in the area.I ordered unagi, and it was very soft and flavorful. It was a good pairing with miso soup and the salad they serve on the side.

Rude, rude, rude.... Me and my hubby and kids eat here quite often and yes the service hasn't always been the best, but it's been decent enough for us to go back.Unfortunately, this time was horrible... and it's not even to say it's because it was busy. When we arrived for dinner the place was dead, not 1 single person dining in. From the get go we didn't even get a welcoming hello one of the waitresses just says "sit here" after that we got ignored for quite awhile until we asked for something to drink, and may I remind you it's dead.. after awhile of waiting we received our appetizer. I asked one of the waitress for napkins and she wouldn't give me more than 2 when there is 4 of us dining in.. but there were 2 other customers that arrived and got treated very well. Their food even came out before ours.. once our main entrees arrived my chicken was too garlicky for my liking so I politely asked if they could switch it. After that we got completely ignored.. we had to keep asking for refills and never once got asked if we needed anything or how the food was.. like WTH its not a cheap meal the least they can do is make us feel welcomed and show some hospitality to there paying guests. At the end me and my family didn't even get to enjoy our food because of the bad bad service.. once my hubby and I went to pay I told one of the staff that is there all the time how we felt about our experience this time.. they didn't really care and the one waitress that was rude the entire time wanted to argue that she was attentive to us.. NEVER again will we be going back...
