I loooooooooove this place. Their banh mi que is the best. I keep coming back here and getting four of them for my meals. Their pate and mayo mix sooo well together, melting in your mouth I live in Redwood City, but I do not mind going out of my way to get my Vietnamese snacks here. Highly recommend their banh mi que! I like their porridge and moc tra too, but the highlight is banh mi que!! The people working there are super pleasant and personable. They are all so friendly, especially Chi! I love this place and I'll pay more frequent visits :)Edit: oh banh mi chao was really good too. My boyfriend literally cleaned the pan. Very impressive!

Final Thoughts: 3.33/5Fairly new Vietnamese café in Vietnam town that just opened a little while ago. Always intrigued by new Viet places and with the advertising that I have seen this place have, here I am to try it. While the interior is very nicely decorated and designed, their food is...interesting. Not an excessive amount of items are on their menu, but a fair amount for you to choose from. Food, snacks, and beverages are available.Food:Bánh Tráng Cuốn (Mixed Rice Paper Rolls): 4.0/5Classic street food in Vietnam. The rice paper rolls appeared to have mainly mangoes, Chinese sausages, Vietnamese coriander, eggs, and dried beef. The rice paper looks to be seasoned with scallion oil or sauteed dried shrimp perhaps because it has a nice flavor and smell to it. Overall, I enjoyed the taste of it. The combination of these ingredients worked well together and was very refreshing to eat. There's a mix of sweetness, umami, tart, and saltiness because of the variety of items combined in this dish. Kewpie mayo is drizzled on top. Classic garnish, but too much for me. This made some of the rolls too oily and rich for me. Perhaps putting it on the side or distributing it evenly across all the rolls may be helpful. Texture wise, optimal. The rice paper wasn't too wet or too dry.. When the rice paper is too dry and hasn't absorbed any of the sauce, it can be quite brittle and hard. Another texture component is the tóp mỡ (fried pork fat). Incredibly crispy and a nice garnish. A sauce provided with this dish was also nicely seasoned and the flavored balanced out nicely.Bánh Mì Chảo (Sizzling Beef Plate): 2.9/5Hmm...not my favorite dish here. Given that it's called a "sizzling" plate, I am expecting a sizzle from the foods on a burning hot cast iron upon serving. Not the case. It felt almost room temperature. For the pate that was provided, it wasn't my favorite. I am quite picky about this and it's a little hard to explain, but the flavor is missing something. While it is seasoned well, perhaps the umami flavor needs to be elevated. The beef was nicely cooked. Quite tender, but still has some bite/chew to it. The meatball is not seasoned how I'm used to tasting it. Again, appears to be missing a little something. The sauce, however, is really what threw me off. Typically the sauce base is just juices from the beef with some seasoning. This sauce was a tomato base? The egg was drowned in a thin red/orange sauce that had the flavor of tomato paste from a can. It's hard for me to explain, but it's not your typical bò né flavors. After looking at the other pictures provided from other people, consistency appears to be a concern. Some plates look fuller, other plates have two meatballs, we received one, ours was swimming in sauce, others appear more dry, ours has a vibrant color from the tomato sauce or maybe annatto oil and others look to be missing that. I digress. Their bread was very cute and had a nice crisp. Xôi Chiên with Caramelized Pork (Stuffed Crispy Sticky Rice) - Not Pictured: 3.6/5While this item was quite delicious, one bite was enough for me. Three pieces are included and they are quite "small", but honestly, I feel like that is all you need. Given what these ingredients are, I know I would get tired of it after the first 2 to 3 bites. Texture wise, lovely. The outside is super crispy and then the sticky glutinous rice has the soft and almost mochi like texture. Good caramelization color too. Ratios were good. Optimal amounts of meat sandwiched in between the sticky rice.---------Price: Fair to expensiveThis will depend on what you get. For the mixed rice paper roll and stuffed crispy stick rice, I believe those prices are fair. Other places have fairly similar prices. For the bò né, expensive for what is provided. Not ideal to pay $20 given the size and quality. Drinks also appear to lean on the more expensive side. It falls within a price range of $6 to $9.Service: FriendlyWe ordered at the front, took a seat, and then they brought out the food to us. Very friendly people and the food was brought out within optimal time. Nothing too significant to note, but overall, very nice.Ambiance: Festive and IG friendlyThe walls are beautifully decorated and the paintings on there remind me of some of the sights in Vietnam. Very much enjoyed looking at the different walls and scenes they had going on in there. The place is quite small and quaint. Fits a long table and bench seat on the left in front of the counter and then 4 smaller tables parallel on the other side.Location/Parking: FairHeh...I've mentioned the parking and location for Vietnam town on multiple occasions. Location wise - it's located in the spot where Teazu used to be. There's a fair amount of parking available, however, caution the day and time that you go. Rush hours and weekends are the worst. By that, I mean it might take a while to find a spot. Finding a spot is possible though with a little patience and luck though.

3/5 Banh Mi Chao review. Not sure what makes it translate into sizzling beef plate as it came out not sizzling, and the plate itself was maybe warm at best, dare I say cold to touch, but nowhere near hot. Taste profile however is where I began to take off stars as it seemed that they had used tomato paste/sauce as it was heavily prevalent in the taste. Out of the 10+ Banh Mi Chao and/or Bo Ne places I've had... I have never had one with a heavy tomato (pasta-like) profile.Place is kind of small, they do kind of cram tables in on the left side(such that if the place was full you'd probably be within inches of others). But considering this place used to be a boba shop (Rip teazu) hard to blame them.Pricing is a bit on the higher side but would have been ok if the food was great and/or more was given. Because it is more of a banh mi chao vs Bo Ne I get it being kinda... small-ish, but the price leaves a lot to be desired.Overall, place seems more like a general share many different snacks instead of full entree or "full belly fun" as they want to put it.

Moc Delights is a newly opened cafe in Vietnam Town that serves some Vietnamese street food and coffee/tea drinks.A small place with colorful decorations and painted murals. The service is nice and friendly. Place your order with the cashier. I stopped in because Alisa B raved about the Green Forrest drink, which did not disappoint. I totally agree with her! This is one of the best tasting green Thai tea's I've ever had. It's florally yet their cream that they add gives it a silky, creamy, smoothness as you slowly drink. Yum! Thanks for the recco Alisa! They have some interesting dishes I will have to try the next time I visit. Come check them out!

Definitely recommend the Green Forrest! Possibly the best Green Thai Tea I have ever add. The addition of their sweet cream is sooo good. Adds the perfect amount of milky texture to the strong, fragrant milk tea. I'd order this again :) 50% sweetness was perfect for me.I came here for a caffeine fix, but I was surprised to see they have a bunch of food here too! I'll definitely be back to try out their bò né, which seems to be really popular.

Starting the morning off right...With a dose of collagen a la chicken feet and chicken cartilage!Soft opening over the weekend is Mộc Delights. They took over Teazu in Viet Town. Takeout and indoor dining only. Open until midnight Thursday - Sunday for the drunchies. *Promo* - Spend $50 and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win 24K gold. Winner will be announced during Tết (Viet new year). Arrived around 10:30 am over the weekend and were the only customers. They were slammed by 11:15 am. M E N UArray of Viet street food and fried snacks. For drinks, they have coffee, fruit tea, milk tea, and non-caffeinated options. They also have grab 'n go snacks like bánh tráng (rice paper) and preserved fruit. Counter service only, order and pay ahead. Aside from the bánh mì chảo, food is served in takeout containers. F O O D* Gà Sốt Thái: "House Special" Chicken Feet w/ Thai sauce ($18): https://tinyurl.com/5n6ektezPoached chicken feet tossed in an addictive sweet and sour lemongrass Thai sauce, topped with tangy-tart green mangos and fresh rau răm (Viet coriander). Full of crunchy gelatinous goodness for your skin! * Xôi Chiên: Stuffed Crispy Sticky Rice (3 pc - $10.95): https://tinyurl.com/k8ss9ucx- Choice of caramelized pork belly (our pick) or pâté+pork floss+minced pork A Viet street food that reminds me of Venezuelan/Colombian arepas, the sticky rice disk is fried to a golden brown, a slit is cut, and filled with rich, meltingly soft pork belly. Great savory flavor and contrasting crunchy-chewy-soft textures. The accompanying acidic đô chua (pickled carrot and daikon) perfectly cut through the richness. So bomb. I haven't seen this anywhere in the bay so get this! * Sụn Gà Chiên: Fried Chicken Cartilage ($15.95): https://tinyurl.com/2tzhyyh7Satisfyingly crunchy, the fried cartilage was dressed in savory sweet nước mắm (fish sauce) glaze and tossed with onions + jalapeños. Great for the drunchies. * Bánh Mì Chảo: Sizzling Beef Plate ($19.95): https://tinyurl.com/4yu6df98- Requested rare The marinated steak (filet mignon?) was hella tender, deliciously buttery and flavorful (not salty). Served with one sunny side up egg (runny yolk), a scoop of rich pâté, a beef meatball, crusty baguette, and a salad of lettuce and pickled onions. Viet breakfast done right. To nitpick, it didn't come out sizzling so the skillet could have been hotter. S E R V I C EFriendly and gracious owner(s) and staff. It's the soft opening so they're still figuring things out; food took some time to come out. Suggestion to owner(s):- Add a water dispenser for self-serve water.- Offer paper plates at the condiment station.- Poke holes in takeout boxes for fried items.A M B I A N C EModern, compact space with Viet street murals. There's only 6 highly coveted tables so best to come early on the weekend if you want to dine-in. Hope they add outdoor seating to expand seating options. P A R K I N GCongested parking lot during peak hours. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and for the soft opening, it was on-point. If you're looking for delicious Viet street food, give Mộc Delights a try!

We got three items here for three people and I would say it was good portioned. We weren't completely full but no longer hungry. 1. Rice paper combo - banh trang chọn ta là : (4/5) very tasty but not worth $16 in my opinion. Would recommend getting one of the specific meats to save $2 as we couldn't really taste the different meats 2. Sizzling beef plate (5/5): our favorite dish! The portions were on the smaller size for the price but it tasted good enough to make up for it. We requested the meat rare and they aced it.3. Frog legs and porridge (3/5): felt like you didn't get too much frog legs for the amount of porridge, which also felt really bland even with the sauce mixed in.

Came here in a weekday afternoon and there was a good amount of people here. Always a good sign when people want a spot for lunch. We ordered:Banh mi chao (bo ne): $20 - plate came out hot, comes with salad, half a baguette, cubed beef, pate, one sunny side up egg, and a meatball. We wanted to try this and it was good, but I don't think it would be my priority order coming here. Banh Trang tron: $16 myyyy oh my this was so good! Portion size was generous, none of the components were skimped on. They use a while hard boiled egg vs quail eggs, crunchy pork rinds, fried garlic, thin pieces of jerky, and sweet yellow mangos. Comes with their own sauce too. Once I finished the box, I was sad I didn't order a second one LOL. That's how much I enjoyed it. Cheese fries : it's the powder cheese with crinkle fries. My daughter enjoyed it lolPeachee drink: $8.50 it tastes just like the peach teas in Vietnam. On the sweeter side but once the ice melts or even split it to two cups with ice to dilute, it's perfect! Cones with peach bits and some lime slices inside. Once you reach towards the end with just the limes, the last few sips will be bitter - you've been warned lol. Saw they have a variety of buckets - assuming it's for special drinks? Overall we really enjoyed this spot. They have more menu dishes we want to go back and try. Decor is also well thought out and detailed, which make the dine-in experience even better.

I was lucky enough to stop by during Mộc Delights's soft opening on the first day, January 3rd!!With it being the first day, it was amazing to see the shop so busy and loved! The ordering process was seamless (order up front, get a number, and wait for your order).I grabbed the sizzling beef plate (bánh mì chảo) and the lychee green tea with boba (trà vải chưởng). The beef plate was flavorful with the nice touch of the salad on the side. The drink was yummy and would be perfect on a hot summer day. The touches of the Vietnamese culture from the mural of street restaurants, bamboo hats, and street cart on the side were beautiful. This will definitely be the go-to spot for late night eats!! I'll for sure be coming back!!Service: 5/5Food: 4/5Price: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5
