I am still thinking about the tofu+sweet potato Musubi I had yesterday! It was so delicious! I had heard about this truck before but wasn't sure where to find them. Happened to stumble upon them yesterday at that place at the Presidio that has a bunch of food trucks on the weekend. Would absolutely be a regular here.

Levi's Stadium plaza on Thursdays. If one is craving musubi, it hits the spot! Have other creative selections to choose from, but opted for the traditional spam tamago musubi. The rice lacked the stickiness like Hawaii would have it and sauce a bit lacking. Other than that, solid.

Work catered in various musubis. There were spam and masago, sweet potato, ha gao, and Vietnamese inspired pork musubis. I tried ha gao and Vietnamese pork. It was very flavorful and good. If I am in the area, I would definitely get the assorted musubis and try them.

Work was graced by the Miss Subi truck today and I was quite happy to have the opportunity to try since I had bookmarked Miss Subi for quite some time now.Looking over the menu, I gravitated towards the musubis - it is the namesake after all...! I ordered an original spam and tamago, a shrimp har gow, and a miso tofu and sweet potato. Surprisingly, I liked the original spam musubi the least! I found the egg a little too sweet for my liking. My favorite was the har gow, I thought the crispy wonton skin within the musubi was excellent! It provided a necessary crunch and paired well with the yuzu aioli. The miso tofu musubi was also a very pleasant surprise! The tofu was marinated well and I really liked the creamy bite the sweet potato provided!Prices were fair - 3 musubis and tip came to just over $20. The only thing holding Miss Subi back from a 5 star rating is the wait. I actually beat out a crowd at work and yet I had to wait almost 20 minutes for a musubi meaning I essentially had 15 minutes to hoark down lunch. I can't imagine how long my peers may have had to wait.

Musubi food truck! They also have kalua pork and chicken katsu lunch plates which I have to try next time. At first I was just craving a classic spam musubi but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it has fluffy eggs in it! The spam tamago musubi has that comforting taste of spam and eggs, with a good spam to rice ratio too. My only critique is that the rice had a slightly sour sushi rice taste from what I believe is rice vinegar. I think I might just be used to plain unseasoned rice paired with spam. Although, it did work very well with the shrimp ha gao musubi. This was so good and a musubi variation I've never seen done before. The shrimp filling, crispy wonton strips, thinly sliced cucumbers, kewpie mayo and masago topping create an incredible combo of textures and flavors. Definitely a must try!

Tried Miss Subi when we had it catered for work. I got the spam and tamago misubi which was nicely packed and portion to go. I enjoyed the rice and furikake but felt like the spam and tamago lacked a bit of flavor. The spam wasn't seared well and both the spam and tamago lacked the savory sweet combo that I love in misubi. I might try another combo but it is a nice pick up to go for a small meal or or snack to share.

Great place to get musubi in the Bay Area! Although didn't know you had to order ahead typically. They were able to accommodate me and I placed an order and waited about 10 min for it. I had the spam tamago musubi and the sweet pork sausage and egg musubi. Both were sooooo good. Would definitely come back here any time.

Ordered a sampler box of musubi ($9.95) and each one was so delicious; I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I guess if I ordered again, I'd have to order a whole order of each! The sampler box contained two whole musubis (4 halves); it was half each of the Spam and egg musubi, the Longanisa and Egg musubi, the Shrimp "Ha Gao" musubi, and the Vietnamese Inspired Pork musubi. Except for the Spam and Egg musubi, each one had something that added a slight tang to the taste, whether it was pickled radish, yuzu, or pickled cabbage; I loved that tanginess in the musubis. I guess because of that, those three would be my first choice, even though the plainer Spam and Egg musubi was delicious, too. I probably should have tried the plain one first! The musubis were so colorful and well presented in their little box. I can see how a whole tray of them would be a great and impressive addition to any gathering. Have to definitely keep them in mind for my next gathering. The only thing is trying to figure out if they can make them when I need them! When ordering online, the website is a little iffy as to when they'd be ready.Miss Subi doesn't have a "regular" store front. I ordered online and drove to Belmont to pick up my order. At first, I couldn't find the place. It's all closed up and there's no apparent sign to look for as you're driving on Old County Rd. You just have to put in the address and trust that your GPS will get you there! There's a sign on the door at 407A telling you to go to 407B for pick-up. When you step over to 407B, the door's locked and there are no directions telling you anything. There's a doorbell, so I just rang it and they opened up and went back in to get my order. The two women there were nice enough, so once you figure things out, it's smooth sailing. It seems that there are three businesses at that address, Miss Subi, Hongry Kong (from which I ordered a lot more items), and a bento box business whose name I don't recall. I don't know if they've always been just a to-go place, but that seems to be what they are now; I only discovered them at the beginning of the pandemic.

Owner is nice, store is cute, food is overpriced and not good. Everything tasted like it was a day old. Day old rice, day old spam, very small portions.
