Miramar Beach Restaurant

First time visiting, and I thought it was amazing inside it almost had a old classic gangster, hangout vibe to me. Beautiful view of the ocean, which is just steps away, a piano player setting the mood, the full seaside restaurant experience.We started with the calamari which was amazing and it came with two sauces, the orange sauce was fantastic .I got the crab sandwich and french fries I was not disappointed.My wife got the seafood paella, I felt it. There was a little too much sauce. It was a little closer to soup nonetheless had great flavor.As I do at every seafood restaurant, you know I had to sample the clam chowder. Again did not disappoint and with the wonderful sourdough bread they bring to the table the two made a great combination. The staff was nice, could've been a little busy cause I did have to wait for drink refills Will definitely return we highly enjoyed this restaurant .

Not a great experience. Our waiter was good but the bar tender was super slow. Our appetizer arrived a few minutes before our meal. We used to love this place. The standard has gone down. The food was subpar my husband's fish was pasty. My meal had no flavor. The menu was very limited. We spent over $154 dollars and we're very disappointed.

We finally got to try this ocean beach front restaurant in Half Moon Bay. We always always pass by this place and wanted to try it. We always walk or bike around, and see this place always filled with people. They seem to love it there and it was a perfect beautiful day to see the ocean while dining. So glad we built our appetite by walking to here from Francis State Beach; that was two and a half miles walk each way.It's a pretty cozy place. You can tell it's been here awhile. They have their own parking lot but not a lot of spaces. Plenty of seating inside and out as well as a bar to just have a drink. They offer side bread and butter when you sit down. Had their strong pina colada which was good. We had their fish and chips, bowl of clam chowder and Mahi Mahi fish tacos. Expected price for fresh fish by the ocean. Was not disappointed with the meal.Friendly service. We will definitely come back to try the rest of their meal choices. So glad we got to try this place. For a romantic dinner with a great view or to hang out with friends for good food. I think you will love it here. [62R,2024]

We stopped in for a mid day pint and ended up having the best chat with bartender Miguel so decided to go back and have dinner there for our anniversary celebration. The food was fantastic (filet & crab ravioli), the drinks were on point (cucumber martini & oldFashioned), the piano player was excellent and the vibe was classy/fun/cozy. Will be stopping here every time we're in town.

This place was so good! Everything we tried and ordered was delicious. Our server was so nice and checked on us often. The views were stunning!!! We sat outside on the patio with beautiful ocean and sunset views and they had outdoor heaters so it wasn't too cool! Would definitely recommend this place!

This is my favorite restaurant! We travel from Santa Cruz and we come ALL the time. Fransisco is a great chef. It's my mother's favorite place as well. We came last night for Valentine's Day. It was our 16 year wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. We were fortunate enough to have the fireplace. Fransisco was our server last night and he was amazing. Catered to our every need. Anticipating our needs as well. Even made us laugh. He was perfect! We're actually coming back tonight! We know there are two Fransiscos and they are both excellent. We love this place. I tell everyone how great it is. Never disappoints.

I would absolutely recommend Miramar Beach Restaurant. This was our first time eating there, having passed the restaurant many times walking on the beach pathway behind it, we decided to give it a try. Our Roadhouse hamburgers were delicious, cooked perfectly. The Tri Tip sandwich was excellent, the meat was like butter. Our server, Valerie, was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. Not to mention, we ate in the outside seating area with our small dog, and enjoyed comfortable tables and the ocean as our backdrop. A truly wonderful experience! The next time you are looking for a great place to eat in Half Moon Bay, you need to give Miramar Beach Restaurant a try - you won't be disappointed!

After doing deep search on where to take my wife on her birthday, decided on this restaurant based on word of mouth and reviews posted. When we decided it's going to be Half moon Bay and I had posed two choices for my wife to choose from. We picked Miramar only for its exquisite beach view and its patio dining. It didn't disappoint us to be honest. We got seated facing the beach outside the patio. They don't take reservations but it's first come first serve. Service was bit slow and it took longer than usual. We got served sourdough bread with butter as complimentary starter for the table, our order for the day was Calamari fried with side of fries. Calamari was not crispy enough and the waitress diligently got us replaced with new set of crispy calamari, but still we felt it was not crispy enough with the batter being too soft. Average dish I must. Condiments were good. Next the side of fries was oily with less salt. I ordered planters punch cocktail and it was truly the best drink I have ever had for such a longer time. So refreshing and the punch of Caribbean flavour added with rum and pineapple, orange were top notch. Definitely recommend this drink. Next up was our main course, Mexican wild shrimp carbonara pasta, tasted amazing and the sauce was so creamy and delicious. Shrimp was cooked to perfection, served with garlic bread. Not to forget, since it was wifey's birthday, ice cream cake was offered on the house by the waitress. It was a pleasant surprise. Overall an average outing at Miramar. If you're looking for ambiance , this place is must visit especially if you're seated in the outside patio area. Food and service are average. I would still look to explore other options in and around Half Moon Bay Area. Overall a decent place , but pricey on certain dishes. If you're okay to spend around 75$-100$ for 2 people, then you can come and visit. Birthday well spent with wifey and will comeback only for views and their cocktails.

Hubby took me to Miramar for my birthday lunch this week and we loved our experience. Vibe (5/5) the outdoor seating is great. Right by the beautiful miramar beach with overlooking coastline it's a great place for dates and catching up with family, friends. There are heaters and fire pits outside. The indoor seating is great too but we got a place right next to the beach in the patio. Service (5/5): our waitress was great. She kept checking in on us. Since it's my birthday they even got a complimentary on the house ice cream dessert as well. She was engaging and spoke well to us. Food: (2/5)The complimentary warm sourdough bread with butter was a great starter to munch on while we waiting for our apps.Planters punch: hubby had this cocktail and he enjoyed it a lot. He loved the drink and kept praising it for each sip. Pregnant mama missed out on this yumminess. Maybe next time :)Fried calamari: now this was a miss for us. The calamari was not crispy nor crunchy. It felt rubbery and chewy. Not my favourite. Our waitress graciously replaced this with a fresher batch of fried calamari but this was ok too. We ordered side of French fries: they lacked salt. Decent and crispy. Carbonara pasta with Mexican shrimp: hubby loved it. I liked it. Creamy pasta with peas and juicy shrimps. I love this place for the vibe, chill atmosphere, lounging in the sun while enjoying the sea views. Worth the drive from Fremont and an enjoyable birthday lunch.

First time at Miramar. After a 3.5 mile walk, boy was I glad to see this place right at the ocean front. I'll be honest, my expectations weren't too high, the place is somewhat run down and looks like it's hey days are long gone. But I've got to say, the food was BUSSIN! We ordered the seafood chowder, crab cakes and fish and chips.The chowder was seafood-y, creamy and chunky. So good. They also bring some bread and butter to the table. Crab cakes were nice and crabby, they didn't skimp on the crab for sure. They serve them on a salad lightly dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. Even the salad was good! It was not like an after-thought garnish.Fish and chips were fried CRISP. The fries are seasoned and thick. The fish has that delicious fried outer shell with succulent juicy white fish inside. YUM. Food was amazing. Ambiance was okay, there was a man singing Sting and The Police songs while playing the piano. Impressive but not necessary for me. Still cute though. Service was great.
