Prices are still decent, not the cheapest in the area anymore, but still have generous portions. Flavor isn't bad but not great either. Service always seemed to vary depending on who was there. My last visit I was going to order a few things that would've added up to at least $40-50 before tax and tip, but ended up walking out without ordering anything all because I wanted to order something and requested something's on the side. The lady wouldn't even bother to ask if it was possible and immediately said no. Other times I even tried to make a substitution request and I offered to pay extra but she would not even try to help. That was another time I left and spent my money at another restaurant walking distance from there. They also have no dining option and is Togo only for years. They only take Mastercard and visa and have a $20 minimum. I won't be coming back here anytime soon or if at all. Thanks to my last visit I found a new Chinese restaurant next to the wing stop in milbrae on el Camino deserving of my business and I would recommend that business over this one any day.

Looking for a different Chinese restaurant, had this restaurant on my list if to try. So given a chance, I decided why not give it a try. Ordering was quick and easy. I had a slightly difficult time understanding some things. But was able to make my order of, Ming's chow mein. Salt and pepper pork chops and shrimp with walnut prawns.Order was ready in about 20 minutes. Food was super hot . Came in three large packages. The taste was interesting. The combo Ming's chow mein tasted good but the bbq pork slices had a taste like it was old. But all the other ingredients tasted fine. The walnut prawns were decent. The salt and pepper pork chops were generous and delicious. The best of my order. Didn't come with soya sauce or fortune cookies. Would I go back, perhaps.

So far, this is one of the best chinese restaurants. As of now, they are currently going through renovation but they still take orders through the phone or walk in. The staff barely speaks english but they're are helpful and understanding. The food are really good!! For 10-20$ per entree, they really have a HUGE serving! recommending this restaurant to family and friends!

Ming's has been my go-to for so many years! Unfortunately, there was a time that you would be able to sit down and eat there, but the only option is to-go only. Flavorful and filling, generous portions, reasonably priced. This hole in the wall restaurant offers to-go orders only with street parking only. They do not accept payment over the phone. Parking is a bit of an issue during busy times. If your order is not ready by the time you get there, you can double park quickly and pay inside and they occasionally offer to bring your order to your car.On lazy days, to prepare for a party, I have ordered platters as late as 24-hours in advance with no issues. They do not accept deposits over the phone so it is a trust factor there which I appreciate. They just prefer to order 24-hours in advance to ensure they have enough food and supplies to accommodate your order. The portions are plentiful, I had ordered a small tray of salt and pepper pork chops that fed 10-15 people. For lazy family nights, for a family of 4, three al-la carte orders are plentiful. They offer pretty decent portions. The quality and quantity of the food is consistent for over a decade. My go-to are salt and pepper pork chops, combo fried rice, honey walnut prawns, sesame chicken, orange chicken, chow mien and beef broccoli. Support your local business, you won't be disappointed.

What a gem! It's a mom and pop restaurant with take-out only and takes card payments.Their menu is pretty extensive from fried rice to noodles to clay pot dishes. We waited around 30mins for our order to be ready and were pleasantly surprised with our food. First off, their portions are GENEROUS and totally worth the money. Taste wise? Absolutely fantastic. Food smelled AND tasted so delicious *_*Chicken corn soup - Best to have this while piping hot or it'll become too gooey. Generous amount of chicken in the soup and perfect amount of sweetness.Seafood chow mein - Some places call it "seafood" but only has shrimps but NOT this place! There were calamari, squid, shrimps, and I believe octopus as well. Again, this was delicious.Chicken clay pot - This can feed up to 3 people comfortable, ngl. Generous amount of chicken, the taste, the texture of chicken.... You need to eat here!

Went to Mings this month, and they continue to be one of the go-tos for Chinese takeout in San Mateo County. Continues to remain to-go only (justifying the interior not getting much updates/refurb), and the strength of this place continues to be about the volume of food you get. $85 for five dishes that was quite heavy to carry to the car - you will feed your family without breaking the bank). Semi-easy to park (although San Bruno recently added pay meter) and fairly easy to find with the awning.I ordered tomato chow mein (rating: 4.5/5), salt and pepper chicken (4/5), honey walnut prawn (4/5), vegetable deluxe (3/5...good, but unbalanced with an overload of bok choy), and cod with bok choy. The staff here are always incredibly nice, and sometimes will give you a recommendation or suggest a veggie or dish that isn't advertised. There can be difficulty with ordering over the phone (I wanted the cod with corn, but they just repeated bok choy). With so many dishes to try (and the highly regarding scrambled eggs prawn chow fun), I know I will be a regular here.

Not changing my previous review rating, just want to add a recent experience to further back-up that Mings' service is very under par.I ordered the Eggplant w/ Minced Pork, omitting the meat for my vegetarian husband. I asked if there would be a reduction in price or extra eggplant and was told, "No change in price. I don't know if the kitchen will give you extra eggplant." What?? Just tell them to add it! What's wrong with these people??Food was just ok this time, to my surprise.

Love this family owned restaurant! I have been going in since I was a kid when they used to have dine in. Everything is here is pretty good and the portions here are huge! My families favorites are the general chicken, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, chow mein, and salt and pepper pork chops. The restaurant is pretty much always open and when you call for take out someone picks up right away and the food is ready within like 20 minutes or less. This is our go to local Chinese spot and would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Located in the downtown of San Bruno towards the end of the street. The Mongolian beef was decent. Big portions but beef was a bit too chewey and rubbery. Not sure if will be back to try anything else. Service on the phone and pick up was ok, nothing spectacular Walk in to pay and pick up your food. There is a table set up as you enter.$20 and up to use cardTakeout only available. No dine inStreet parking only

Take out service only. Large portions. Better and "cheaper" (they're all getting squeezed by rising costs, and raising prices) than many alternatives!Depending on what you order, may have a bit of a Chinese-American spin to it, i.e. peas in mapo tofu, etc. Not a bad thing, just an fyi. The mapo tofu was great, had pork and sauteed onions also; so much better than many places that just mix chili oil and tofu and that's it. And there were several native Chinese speakers who came in to pick up orders also.Being picky... Took off a star for "dry" (not enough water) white rice... No Chinese restaurant should ever mess up their Bai Fan.
