Stopped by here for a late Thursday night to-go order. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but still had some customers despite the day and time (830PM). Parking was super easy. The good: Preserved Egg and Pork Porridge. The had a great texture and good flavor. I would come back just for this if I'm ever in the area and craving porridge/ congee.I would skip the rice rolls. I ordered the Pork Live Rice Noodle Roll and Egg Rice Noodle Roll. The texture and bite of the rice noodles just wasn't that great. There are a few other options in the South Bay that I would choose for rice rolls over MingKee Deli.

We stumbled upon this spot on a rainy day, such a perfect congee spot. We ordered the XO turnip cakes, gailan and their signature congees. Keep in mind some of the congees have liver. The interior is not very large, max 30-48 ish people capacity. They don't use any formal waitlist but the queue was very efficient with just two aunties on staffOur congee was excellent and so was the gailan --- the turnip cakes was also pretty epic

Came here on a Thursday night and it was pretty slow. There was maybe 3-4 other parties, so it was quiet. You order on your phone and food comes out pretty quick. Their rice rolls here is sooooo thin and delicious. Definitely coming back here for the rice rolls. Everything else was pretty good, but nothing super stand out-iish. Their thousand year old egg porridge had a lotttt of egg, which I love, since most places don't give you a whole lot.

Ordered three types of rice noodle rolls: Buddha's Delight Rice Noodle Rolls, Fish Rice Noodle Rolls, and Shrimp & Beef Rice Noodle Rolls. The rice noodle sheets didn't suit my taste--they lacked elasticity and didn't look appealing. The Buddha's Delight Rice Noodle Rolls, a vegetarian option, were very plain and bland--not recommended. The Fish Rice Noodle Rolls had nice fish slices that were crisp, smooth, and refreshing. As for the Shrimp & Beef Rice Noodle Rolls, both the shrimp and beef were too light in flavor. The Beef, Shrimp, and Pork Liver Porridge was quite good. The porridge was thick and creamy, with tender shrimp and pork liver. The best dish was the dessert, Milk Pudding. It was rich in milky flavor, smooth and delicate, sweet but not overly so--highly recommended.

The House Special Beef Brisket exceeded our expectations 100+++!! It was tender, flavorful, had all the right spices like star anise. It basically melted in my mouth. This is probably one of the best beef brisket I've had in a long while. Its too bad the dish is so small. I'd buy 3 of those and slap some noodles on top and it'll be the ULTIMATE beef brisket noodle dish. Yum.The plain noodles were fresh and so silky. It went well with the sauce. The turnip cake was also freshly made, tender inside and crispy on the outside just the way it should be. This dish reminded me of my Grandma.

The restaurant itself is really small. We could not even enter the place for a few minutes because their register is right by the entrance and someone was paying. We were asked how many and got pointed to a table. We ordered 3 items the char siu rice roll, beef brisket rice roll, and the siu mai. All were really bad. Their rice rolls aren't smooth at all. It is very wrinkly and chewier than the ones at dimsum restaurants. Also the taste of batter was really off as it tasted more like the Vietnamese rice rolls than Chinese. The char siu did not taste fresh either. The brisket was okay but was not a fan of the sauce they drowned it in. The siu mai was the worst siu mai I've ever had. The meat tasted overly mushroomy and had a very strange almost rotten-like taste to it. I could only eat 2 bites out of all 4. Service was pretty nonexistent the whole time. Would definitely pass on this place because there isn't any redeeming factor at all.

Highlights:& Open on Thanksgiving Day & No frills ambiance & Delicious food, esp. congee& Asian standard for serviceService:This is a more authentic Asian restaurant, so the service is calibrated to the standard of service for Asia. They don't proactively check to ask how you're doing every ten minutes. But if you wave them, they come over when they can. With that calibration in mind, I thought the service was good considering that they were being overrun with customers as Thanksgiving progressed. Parking:Easy, there's a big lot outside. It's shared by other establishments, but I can't imagine parking spots not being available. The lot was relatively big.

Comforting bowl of porridge. Good consistency. Perfect with chinese donut. Both the sampan and the preserved egg and pork porridge were great. I'd get them again. The rice noodle rolls were good, tender and soft. The shrimp rice noodle roll was large and meaty. The beef brisket rice noodle roll was stewed nice and tender, with good tendon pieces. The turnip cake with xo sauce was fine. The interior chairs feel a bit beat up. Order from a QR menu.

This is a review for the to go order.Wanted some comfort food so ordered the preserved egg and pork porridge. Order also included turnip cake and shrimp flat rolls.Pork porridge - Tasty, a bit watery. The pink pork was a bit off putting and I wish they were cut into thinner slivers. Reminded me of large ham chunks. It's obviously fully cooked but visually the pink pork chunks gave me pause. Still hit the spot.Shrimp flat rolls - These may be considered bland by many as there wasn't soy sauce and it was dry. However I really enjoyed it and liked the texture and freshness. Wasn't used to it being prepared this way but did like it a lot!Turnip cake - these were cut up into little cubes. Wasn't a fan at all as there was sugar cooked with them and I don't like turnip cake sweet as I consider it a salty dish. I wanted to toss it but decided to soak it in Chinese vinegar (which I had at home) and after dousing it, it took away the sweetness and I quite enjoyed it.Overall, I'd give the to go 4 stars. Some oddities explained above which accounts for the removal of 1 star. Go in with an open mind and some vinegar (if you select the turnip cake) and you should be pleasantly surprised.
