Mi Tierra Mercado Y Carniceria

Mi Tierra is an amazing Mom n Pop shop situated on far far far E. Santa Clara st, San Jose. I go here for my carne asada super taco fix and some snacks like chips and water. I don't do much else here just get my basic's covered. Nice small seating for customers in the back with a window view of the street. The people here at the butcher shop/ Taqueria/ customer service store are really nice. I speak Spanish to the staff here, I usually only use Spanish w/ my family/brother's; I'm teaching my little niece Spanish. I'd like to bring her and teach her to order lunch in Spanish. lol. The carniceria/butcher shop has fresh cut meats and cheeses, chicharrones! All and all I do recommend this store to the foodie/non-foodie for a more traditional Experience! The chicharrons (pork skin with meat) here are hands down the best in the area. There's meat on every piece of pork skin and it's not hard to the point where it feels like your teeth are going to break from biting into it. About $10 for 1 lb. I've had chicharrons from Los Cuates, but there's very little meat and it's very hard. They also sell pork feet, salsas, guacamole, etc. They have tap/contactless payment!

On Saturday afternoon the wife and I decided to check the this place out, we have lived in the neighborhood for a few years and have driven by this place so many times. So we took a quick walk to get some lunch. They also have a pretty big parking lot as well if you are driving.+This place is a legit Mexican grocery with a taqueria in the back. I ordered a super burrito with crane asada. When I got the burrito it was about 95% crane asada and it weighed about a pound! I also ordered a taco, but I am in a food coma after eating the burrito. The burrito was really good very flavorful with fresh ingredients. The only thing I did not care for is that there were a few pieces fat in my burrito and not that much guacamole and sour cream. But in the end the meat was great and there was alot. Definitely going comeback for more!TLDR: These burrito are a steal, where else can you get a 1lb burrito that has great flavour for under $10? They are huge and they are really good.

This place is just ok it has the basics I wasn't very impressed I felt two rushed to take any pictures!!!!

Ordered the tacos and just can't go wrong. The salsa is awesome . Had the lengua ,asada and pastor, all were good but I am huge fan of lengua done right. Don't be scared when u come in to the store just walk all the way in and you will find tables and very nice people. Also had some mango agua and that was just additional awesomeness on a hot summer afternoon.

We get the marinated chicken and grill it at home to make tacos. Amazing every time. Plus the salsa is awesome. Friendly and warm service. True gem in San Jose.

Cheap tacos located in a small plaza inside a Mexican neighborhood market. The people who work behind the counter are friendly because they know I don't speak Spanish lol. They give great meat portions to their tacos, and what makes it taste so good is their meat. What I like here is the carnitas and would suggest it for anyone who wants take-out to to bring home.

Now this is a hidden gem. 1) Outstanding food 2) Great selection3) Toned down music4) Reasonable pricesTry the Quesada shah. It's delicious.No flaws. 5 out 5 stars!!

The ambiance is simple. The food is great and there is a variety of selection of meats. Also, friendly & simple service. Food was good, although i didn't get too eat inside because i was waiting, the food was still good. Will be going back soon & if i have further notes i shall add onto this. Good too know there is a shop like this near the area i am at.

Love their carnitas and chicken. Highly recommend here if you wanna make your own taco Tuesday
