It is always nice checking out local spots while traveling, so one of the nights we were in town we decided to stop by Metro City. We went later in the evening on a Sunday so there wasn't a ton of people inside which was nice. Our server was friendly & quick to take our orders and get our drinks out to us.The food was delicious! We tried the Brotatoes as an appetizer which were so good. We all enjoyed the main dishes we picked out as well, everything was cooked exactly how we wanted it and everything was packed full of flavor. The California pasta I picked out was a huge hit for me! The flavors were on point. I would stop by again if I were to be in the area again. The location was cute, it is in a historic area of town and is along side many other local restaurants & businesses in an easily walkable street.

Came by on a Sunday 11AM and we were sat immediately. Two of us ordered:-norcal omelette $17-breakfast toast $16-class bloody mary $11-Draft #6 $8 (IPA)Food was good, but definitely took awhile to come out.Spacing for tables is the worst. For some reason, everyone kept going between me and the person behind me so my chair was getting bumped into a ton during the meal...Overall nice spot for drinks, food...some TVs insideOutdoor seating available as well.Parking can be difficult during peak hours, but you can park in the parking garage and walk over.

I love their brunch, and I recommend the tuna melt for lunch. They check on you a little bit after you get your food to ensure satisfaction. You feel very welcomed once you come in. And the room is very lit up.:)Review left by my son who loves Metro City, and we as his parents love It as well.

We ate here for brunch, and got the veggie Benedict and a cherry pie for dessert. The Benedict was tasty, and served with has brown (which wasn't particularly memorable) and a slice of orange (which was delicious and sweet). The cherry pie, served with orange, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream, was delicious too. For drinks, we got a mocha and pineapple juice. The mocha was decent, while the pineapple juice was an unexpected highlight, tasty delicious and very fresh. The service was pretty quick and efficient. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating. The location of the restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale is very convenient to access.

This restaurant had been here for a while and I've never been. I would highly recommend Metro for breakfast. Good portions, friendly staff and priced fair. Everything is made it order and super fresh. Country fried steaks in my opinion are hit or miss, but this one hit the spot. A good portion of hashbrowns and theirnorsnfe juice is really good too! I'll be back.

So, if you visit Metro City with 4 adults and 1 2-year old, this is considered a "large party" and your bill automatically gets a 20% charge. I didn't see anything on the menu about a "large party" charge. Furthermore, I don't mind a 20% service charge, but your service was no where deserving of that 20% charge. Half our party had to go get their own water at the front because Service just never came back to us after taking our order. And, when we finished, we had to get our own boxes to pack our food, because service couldn't have been bothered to come to us to ask us if we needed any boxes. Just handing me a check with that 20% charge. Pretty bogus if you ask me. The food was fine, the food was more like 3-stars. Parts of our potatoes were burnt, others parts of the food was OK.Overall, a pretty unexpected experience for what otherwise would have just been a standard breakfast. Quite disappointed from that and we won't be coming back.

Ambience: The place is very large and has indoor and outdoor seating. It's decorated nicely and is family friendly. Service: The staff was courteous and got us seated right away. The food came relatively quickly given that we went there for lunch at the peak of the lunch hour on a Saturday. Food: I haven't said this about any restaurant in a while...but WOW the food was good for the price that we paid for it. Here is what we had (the pictures are attached - sorry tried to take the pics before everyone dug in):** Wings: We had the wings to start with and we chose the lime and buffalo (1/2 and 1/2) for the 8. They were yummy.** Metrocity Omlette Wrap: I wanted a breakfast burrito but didn't want to feel larded down so I asked them to make the Metrocity Omlette with eggwhites in a wrap fashion and IT WAS DELICIOUS!** Grilled Cheese: My wife got the grilled cheese. It looked magnificient! It had three layers of bread, cheese, bacon, etc. ** Tuna Melt: My 8 year old likes Tuna Melts and he ordered. He didn't care for it much b/c their Tuna Melt has a tart pickly flavor...I tried it and it was fine. Just for those who like this - perhaps ask more detail to make sure you get what you want.** Hamburger Eggs: My 14 year old had the hamburger eggs and after he was done there nothing on his plate. He loved it.All in all, I think my family has found its next favorite neighborhood casual dinning spot to eat lunches or brunches on weekends.

Came here for a brunch birthday celebration. The service was very good, especially when accommodating a large group. Just make sure you reserve seating a head of time. The Moffett Benedict and the build your own omelette my wife ordered was good. Nothing blow away, it's solid brunch food. The restaurant had a cool vibe to grab breakfast in Downtown Sunnyvale.

This place rules let's just get that out there. This is a classic American breakfast/lunch establishment where most things are still bussin and under $20. I don't eat pork so I always really appreciate non-ham Benedict options. Tempura green beans are awesome as well.

I typically come to metro city for breakfast but my group and I decided to come here for dinner. The highlight of our meal was definitely the service, our server was very nice & made sure we had all we needed. For a starter we ordered the tempura green beans which was the star of our meal! I ordered the garlic burger which was very buttery/greasy and heavy, and left my stomach upset after I ate. The sweet potato fries were solid.
