Mendoza's Taqueria

Love this place. Very authentic and delicious food. Food tradicional from Apatzingan, Michoacán. I live there huchepos (corn Tamales) and the morisqueta too. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was pretty empty and quiet, our food came out quick. But during the weekends it does get pretty much with live music etc. food portions are pretty big.

Came in to Mendoza's Taqueria and service was just ok. No greeting and we were walked over to our table. Red flag, restaurant was pretty much empty and ambiance was like the sound of crickets.Came in for the enchiladas michuacanas because I had been craving them. Placed my order for drinks and food, then waited.DRINKSJarrito orange flavored, always good Horchata was a generous size but too sweet for my liking so added some water.FOODEnchiladas and fried chicken.Enchiladas were ok needed seasoning and some heat, spice. Fried chicken was dry and bland. The entrée was really lacking in seasoning and flavor. Enchiladas and cecina, dry meat. Again, enchiladas were just ok they really lacked seasoning and flavor. Cecina was ok.Ordered some ochepos, corn tamales, only because customers kept coming in and ordering in large quantities. I thought oh they must be good. Ordered 4 to go and I was excited to try them. Boy was I disappointed, they were very doughy and dry, not what I expected. I prefer a fluffy and moist ochepo.TIPKeep mop & bucket out of view of your customers who are dining near by, it's not what we want to look at while eating.

Pedi 3 orderes de Enchiladas Michoacanas 2 de pollo y 1 de Bistec. No se que paso los 3 Plato's los Dejamos, La cebolla adentro estaba bieja, el Pollo Sin Sal, Page Los $77.00 Por las 2 aguas y Plato's. Por Favor Cambien el Aceite, Sabian muy mal. Le dige Al senor que el se prepare y las pruebe.

Best best best enchiladas Michoacánas ever!!! Service is always great here and ambiance is always nice and upbeat. I've tried many locations for enchiladas but always end up coming here instead. Amazing.

The enchiladas and wet burrito are amazing here always have to stop by when I'm in the area.

Authentic Mexican food. Not a fan of the music but the food is so good it's worth it

Let's go started with the enchiladas MICHOACANAS are not really enchiladas! No taste, no like in Michoacán nothing at all! The enchiladas have to be soft not crispy! I have years not eating here and I know never come back again, also I call to see if they don't do the mistake to send me two orders of tacos but no, they told me to go to the place and return the plate, yeah let me go and waist more time!!! don't come here !!! If you want to try a real enchiladas this it's not the place at all!!!

Placed an order online payed online with my card and was charged again in persons because they stated they don't have that application/website. Yet how did they have my order ready?

Hoy visite este restaurante con mi familia y nos fuimos decepcionados con la comida. Primero la michelada no tenía sabor más que a cerveza con soda pues no había ni Clamato ni limón. Yo Ordene enchiladas con bistec, las enchiladas estaban más o menos pero el bistec lo dejé al lado pues no tenía ni sal y el aspecto era terrible. Mi mamá ordenó camarones a la diabla y estaban decentes aunque creo un diente de ajo en la salsa le hubiera dado las sabor. Mi Primo ordenó caldo de res que dijo estar bien pero no así como para volverlo a ordenar. La mesera muy atenta y rápida por eso le dejamos buena 20% de propina.Realmente la carne de bistec parecía ser de animal canino. Jamás volveré. Quizás el dueño debería de poner al cocinero a ver vídeos de YouTube a ver si quizás ahí aprende algo.

First time eating here, I love the food and the drink. I got the birrias seca de civo and horchata. It's really good! Everything you eat is hand made, the salsa, the tortillas, etc. They also do karaoke at 7 pm (haven't done the karaoke yet, because I came earlier). The service is good. I had a great time, I will definitely come back again!
