Meating Spot

The Meating Spot food truck came to my business park in Mountain View, CA. When I searched for them on-line, there was the food truck in San Antonio, TX but their logos on the trucks are different, so they are different. I couldn't even find anything in Yelp only a little info on FB.So, I just wanted to share that they have very good food and their portions are hearty. I'm guessing they don't have a set menu since their menu is handwritten on the whiteboard outside: Korean grilled chicken, $10, grilled pork belly $10, BBQ short ribs $12; spicy chicken $10. I had the pork belly and it was delicious! It wasn't as fatty as I'd thought, although I don't mind a little pork fat once in a great while! There was a good amount of meat and rice, and kimchi on the side with a tiny bit of broccoli. My fellow co-workers thought highly of them, too. For a food truck, I'd definitely try them again.

I tried meating spot food truck for the first time near my work during lunch hours and it was nice.I ordered spicy chicken which was served with white rice and lettuce. The food was good and portion size decent for 10$. The other options available were red curry, pork belly with rice, grilled chicken.I won't mind trying it again

My husband and I have gotten food from here on 4 occasions for dinner, and 3 of the 4 times were awful. At this point - never again.The first time, we got the spicy pork belly. I wasn't a huge fan, but my husband really liked it and thought the flavor was great. The next two times, we got it again - but those times, the pork was suuuuper fatty and chewy. Completely inedible. The fourth time, I wanted to try the chicken curry. However, they ran out during lunch time and didn't have any left. So, my husband ordered some sort of beef dish instead. It didn't taste good, and again the meat was very chewy. Out of the 4 times we have gotten food from here, 3 of those times the food ended up directly into the trash after tasting. It is possible that because we have gotten food during dinner time, it might have been sitting for a while and maybe lunch time it would be better and fresher? I dunno.The only good things I can say about the food here is that the portions are quite substantial and the rice is cooked pretty well.

I stumbled upon Meating Spot when I was in the South Bay on my day off. I was craving bbq and when I searched yelp, I came across Meating Spot. The pics on yelp looked great and had my mouth watering. I called the number on the page and Kevin answered. He gave me the address that he'd be at, which was about a 10 min drive from where I was. About 10 mins later, I arrive at the truck. I ordered the short ribs and my wife ordered the pork belly. Upon the first bite, I felt like I was in heaven. The short ribs were marinated to perfection. Every bite was like a foodgasm and I legit killed it in about 2 minutes I kid you not. My wife's pork belly was great as well. It was just the right amount of spicy and the right amount of fat. It wasn't heavily marinated so I could still taste the pork flavor. Both the pork belly and short ribs were definitely premium meats!Overall, I'd definitely be back. I only wished it came to SF (hell, even my office) and I'd be there damn near everyday. Food is super affordable, portions were huge, and flavor was perfect. On top of great food was the great service. Everyone was super friendly and the food came out fast!

The short ribs + rice = delicious!!!And Kevin and his staffs are very friendly as well! We've had them at our office for awhile now, and they're very reliable! Great food and affordable prices! Highly recommend to those offices that are looking for a food truck to add to their lineup.Cheers!

I had their Korean chicken, which us very unkorean. Its just teriyaki chicken with kimchi on the side. I guess you can call anything Korean if you pair it with kimchi.The portion of chicken was large, but the taste would not warrant another purchase. I normally finish my meals, I did not finish this one. I've had better teriyaki at fast food chains.The kimchi was horrible and tasted old/left out. Tasted almost bland, the worst kimchi I have ever had and I've had a lot of kimchi in my life.

The food truck showed up at work so I gave it a try. I got the BBQ beef and it's pretty good. The portion size is definitely more than I expected which is great! The BBQ beef had a nice marinade and flavor to it. I would highly recommend!

Tasty and love the portion sizes! Definitely finished my spicy pork belly set full and satisfied. Not too spicy for my taste, too.

The truck comes to my work on occasion, and I've always enjoyed their food. The portions are large, and the spices aren't overwhelming.

Tried this for the first time tonight and it was delicious. They aren't stingy with the food so the serving size was more than I expected but I wont complain about that. I originally got 2 plates and drove back for 2 more. Customer service was just amazing. Definitely a place I will get food from again.
