The decor is a dark, modern yet cozy setting with rectangle and square tables. It's not huge but they fit a lot of tables inside without it feeling cramped.I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was the perfect size. The broth was incredibly rich and creamy, bursting with flavor that kept me coming back for more. The noodles were cooked very well, and the chashu was tender and full of flavor. We also shared some chicken karaage as an appetizer, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was really top-notch--friendly and attentive the entire time. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and was extremely nice to my kids.If you're a ramen lover, this place is a must-visit when in Redwood City.

The food is always served hot and with care. It gets busy so I'd recommend getting a reservation first for the number of tables. The restaurant is usually at capacity all evening. I come for the broth and the chicken.

Been here multiple times, I would say it's always good! Service is great, they check in on you many times. The restaurant itself is beautiful, gives me chill vibes. The food is great and has so much flavor. I would recommend ordering Hakata Tonkotsu, Chicken Karaage and Marufuku Bites!

Literally THE BEST TONKOTSU RAMEN I've ever had!!!!! Way better than Ramen Nagi, and that says a lot. We came here on a Tuesday evening as a walk-in and were seated immediately. Service was super nice and walked us through the menu. I love that the menu includes extra noodles as an option. The inside is super cute and the soup bowls are very unique and seem handmade! It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back.

This was a recommendation from my niece, did not fail. Great service, soon as we were seated, Elise our server got us our drinks, placed order, I would say 15 mins both our appetizer and Ramen, I was like WOW! Cozy gorgeous place set downtown right off of main street. Public or street parking available. Next time going to try their Curry chicken katsu.

Had both this location and the Cupertino location bookmarked and was so excited to try this spot! We parked in the structure across the street which has free 90 minute parking. We joined the waitlist via Yelp and were seated promptly at 2:15 or so on a Sunday. The service was fast, almost not in a good way in that they wanted to immediately take our orders. We got the pirikara chicken bites to share. We didn't love these. Somehow, the chicken quality wasn't as expected and the combo of flavors just wasn't my favorite. It's also a very small portion for the price. I got the Spicy tantan men ramen and my husband got the hakata tonkotsu dx. We both enjoyed our ramen and found it super flavorful. The noodles were different between the tantanmen and the tonkotsu with the tonkotsu noodles being thinner. Overall we liked the noodles in the spicy tantan men a little more. Although we felt super rushed out (despite them not being busy at all), we would likely still come back, knowing we are going to feel rushed and maybe not the most welcome, but maybe worth it for some good ramen!

Met up with friends for lunch at MR La st weekend. They arrived first and put down their name. We waited a while to be seated. We ordered:Gyoza: kids enjoyed these (but the frozen ones I make at home look better) Hakata ramen: solid broth, not too salty, lots of noodles.Mentaiko bowl: kid liked this. Service was ok. I asked for extra utensils and it never came.

Had a reservation at a more plush restaurant nearby but my son checked this place out and voila, canceled the other one and had to have ramen tonight. It did not disappoint - I love the thin ramen and the buta kakuni (braised thick pork belly). Also had the MARUFUKUBITES (Steamed buns filled with homemade pork chashu) and they were absolutely delicious. Wish there were more chashu filling though. Interior is nice, trendy and reminds me of Japan's ramen-ya.

We ordered the edamame, pirikara chicken bites, and two bowls of ramen: the Hakata Tonkotsu and the Hakata Tonkotsu DX (which includes thick braised pork instead of just thin slices). The edamame was lightly salted--simple and straightforward. The pirikara chicken bites were fried well, with a crispy exterior and tender meat, but the sauce was a bit too sweet for our liking and overpowered the dish.As for the ramen, the tonkotsu broth was mild and lacked the depth of flavor we hoped for. The pork in both bowls was somewhat dry.
