Maple Leaf Donuts

Old schoolWalk in every time I go to the DMV.The apple fritter rocks though it's not attractive... lol looks like a big glob of barf birds it awesome. They make fresh donuts here and this place is an old staple of Los Gatos I'd be huge if it were within walking distance Yummy place aAnd you can tell by the smell 30 feet away.

While at the DMV, I noticed the enticing sign. It was dingy Scuttle white with Ariel red ariel font in all caps reading DONUTS. Exotic. I walked over to the shop under the guise of scouting potential new donut providers, also believing I could justify the excess hundreds of calories with a new Yelp review.Four stars for an extensive menu, location, and friendly and attentive workers. That said, I won't return. None of that matters if the $3?! apple fritter is subpar and they have no bear claws (8:50am).

Go elsewhere! Food quality: coffee just no flavor and food so below average. Ordered The Works bagel, toasted, with cream cheese. It was Just a plain bagel topped with sesame seeds. BF ordered a breakfast sandwich, not made fresh--served cold possibly frozen and just microwaved.Service: Basic, adequate.Ambiance: none. Needs a real good cleaning. Would recommend that the food be washed off on the table, chairs. Outside table not clean. Baby diaper on bench outside restaurant. Gross.

I tried the vanilla donut, and it was okay. The flavor was a bit bland, and the texture was a bit dry. The icing was too sweet and thick. The donut could have been fresher. Overall, it was just an average experience.

The food this good.. the donuts are good... the Service is excellent.. they greet you when you walk in.. the ambience is a casual place.. once you there more then twice their stats to remember you.. and know what you order if you continue to order the same thing... what I found out today 10/13/24 when you check in on Yelp and you get a free glaze donut is that the owner don't offer it anymore...booo.. that's what's keeps me going in lol.... any how any wonder.. " till next time my food lover till next time"

The donuts are fresh every morning as well as the bagels. The coffees are tasty as well.Both The bagel and croissant sandwiches are great for breakfast or lunch.I work across the street and I'm never let down with whatever I choose or they recommend.

I'm so happy this place is nearby to me! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches. great for lunch, service is quick and so friendly, and the glazed donuts are really good too. Definitely try it if you're in the area!

I got the #5 breakfast sandwich, Really like this mom and pop store and the kids also like their donuts and bagel and croissant sandwiches as well, Location is right across from the DMV

How do they get away with using the name Maple Leaf? The donuts are dry and stale. The texture is all wrong. Don't go there. Los Gatos deserves a high quality donut shop.

Had the chicken salad bagel. It doesn't contain chicken salad. It had chicken chunks with sliced cucumbers and cheese and mayo. It wasn't the typical chicken salad bagels and needs to be mentioned.
