Manila Oriental Market

This place has change a lot since it's been under new management. The food quality is so much better now. I usually don't buy meat from Asian supermarket but now this is my go to place.

It's not the best Asian market but it's decent. They have seafood and butcher shops. Clean your fish if you want. Ok selection of Asian fruits and veggies but American fruits are not that great quality. They sell liquor about the price you'd expect. A few local snack foods are pretty good, like the tofu with sweet syrup and little sweet pastries. Good local store.

Nice place to buy Filipino items that we need and definitely will be back highly recommended to my friends and family

A pretty quiet Asian market compared to Lions so not much crowd here. The meats and seafood are a lot cheaper so you can get great deals. Too bad there's not much locations in the Bay Area.

Manila Market is closed to my house , so convenient to go shopping for food, but yet also a little Rude from 1 or 2 employees. The people who work at the fish area need to train how to be a better customer service and 1 of the cashier need more tracking how to do the job right . Also they need more lighting in their store , but most of the time they do have what I needed , but it's just poor customer services there and I wish the owner can do something about it .

IMHOIt's just "okay." I chose to shop here for some last-minute produce items on a Sunday morning... NEVER shop here on a weekend if you're in a hurry. Lines are long and SLOW!!! I must've been waiting in line for 20 minutes with just 3 people ahead of me. They need a dedicated express line just for 10 items or less. I truly shop here if I have no other choice or am in the area for other things.

They brought back the free fried fish service and updated their credit card system. Finally can pay with my phone.

MOM is not my preferred supermarket to purchase ingredients for Asian inspired dishes. We only stop by as a last resort because it's on the way home.The prices are not very competitive and the products are arranged very awkwardly -- this place misses the "flow" of an easy and seamless grocery shopping experience.Produce section could be a bit more organized (the fruits and vegetables are not staged very strategically) and I have found almost "bad" vegetables on a few occasions.They do have a fish frying service in that if you pick out the fish you want to take home -- the can clean and fry it for you at request.Finally, the clerks at the register. I have always been told that if you don't have anything nice to say then you shouldn't say it all. Well, let's just say the cashiers are angry and bitter because they need a vacation or a new job.

Manila Market is CHEATING the customers. Specifically make the misleading price tags. The manager is unreasonable very Rude. I told her that misleading is very serious problem. She said she didn't care. She despise us old people who do not speak english well. (Most of the customers in this store old and their english is not good.) I have no ideal how much money she made from the misleading labels. I wonder if there is any government agency that can stop this type of shop FRAUD.Please see 3 of attached pictures:You can see: there are 3 sections on the same shelf, each side shows 3 prices. one side shows $2.79, $2.79 and one no price number - the price on the label has been torn off. The same good on the other side of the same shelf shows $2.69, $2.69 and $3.99. As opposed to $2.67 is $2.79 on the other side. $3.99 is no price show on the other side. But the store ask the customer to pay $2.79 instead of $2.69. Then the customer need to pay $3.99 instead of no price number. Although $2.69 and $3.99 on the same side. My question is: 1. if the store wants me to pay $2.69 for one item, I agree to buy the other for $3.99.2. If the store want me to pay $2.79 for one item I am not agree to buy the other for $3.99 and I only have to pay $2.79 instead of $3.99It seems like this store has confusing prices and always makes customers pay higher price. This is not the way to do business. This is Fraud.

Chuyện là hôm nay Người nhà em có đi chợ Mom tức chợ ( Manila Oriental Market ), mua 1 con gà người nhà e bảo bán tui con gà trống nó bắt con gà mái ốm nhom như con gà ri luôn vậy ễ nhưng điều bức xúc,họ bán con gà ốm nhom,ốm nhách giá 15.99$, kể mng phải chi con gà nó có da thịt mập mạp em không nói,đằng này họ bán con gà em nói thiệt với mng chứ con gà luộc xé 2 lần là xong luôn á ko thấy thịt thà gì luôn,mà em nói đâu phải e vì mười mấy đồng mà e tiếc rẻ,nhưng ai ở E cũng đi làm cực khổ mới có $ mua thức ăn mà nỡ lòng nào bán con gà kiểu vậy đấy,buôn bán kiểu gì vậy .Mong mọi người cảnh giác khi mua gà vào buổi tối ở chợ này . The story is that today, my family went to the Mother's Market (Manila Oriental Market), bought a chicken, and my family member told me to sell me the Rooster, and it caught the hens mixed like a curry chicken but the thing is so frustrating. contact , they sell sick chicken for $ 15.99 , I told everyone to pay for the chicken it has nice skin I didn't say , over here they sell the chicken I told you the truth but the chicken was torn twice After that, I still can't see any meat, but I said it's not because I'm small, but I regret it, but everyone in has to work hard to have $ to buy food, but why sell chickens like that, wholesale? what kind of stuff are you selling. Hope everyone is careful when buying chicken at night at this market.
