This is the only local place in San Jose that makes their own nut milks!! No gums no fillers, just yummy! The staff is super friendly and the environment quiet. They also make their own Chai. You have to appreciate fresh ingredients and not processed to appreciate this little gem. So grateful for the owner's integrity.

Got a really good, frothy iced matcha latte with oat milk and a bit of honey! It's really nice having this tea house attached to the yoga studio - the energy is always great and the staff is very friendly.

Unassuming from the outside; beautiful and welcoming on the inside. This is a hidden gem for anyone who'd like to sip some delicious hand-crafted tea or smoothies while relaxing in a cozy yogi atmosphere.

"Drink your tea slowly and reverently as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future" - Thich Nhat Hanh. What a lovely, peaceful space. I ordered an iced dirty chai sweetened with honey, and settled down at the counter while enjoying a borrowed book from their little free library.

False Advertisement: A hole in a corner of a yoga place! Not an actual coffee shop or cafe let alone "tea house"! you can imagine a kitchenette in the corner of a yoga place: crowded, noisy and surrounded with towels and sweaty people. My visit was in November, so none of their special events were happening.

I had an hour to kill before meeting up with a friend-mentor for brunch in Los Gatos. Though I later made the terrible decision of walking through downtown without a mask (the air quality is no bueno...if you haven't already, get a mask AND if you have the means, help those affected by the fires through donations), Mandala was a "shelter from the storm."Inside, you immediately see that the yoga facility takes over your left side, and the cafe occupies a small corner to your right. The deco and vibes are really nice (it feels like you're meditating even without the yoga...at least that's how I felt as I blanked out on one of the couches near the cafe).Mandala has a wide variety of drinks (your typical coffee drinks, smoothies, elixirs, etc). and some healthy bowls and oats too. I noticed that the prices were on the higher side for the non-coffee drinks and items. Note that there are also shelves that line the walls that have yoga-themed merchandise.Though I would probably try one of their health drinks next time, I settled for a wee cup of espresso (which was more sour than expected, with a hint of blueberry) due to the fact that I would be gorging on brunch later. But yeah, the espresso was strong, keeping me going the rest of the day.

GET THE ACAI BOWL.I was in the mood for an acai bowl, and those of you know know my obsession for these guys know that I'm picky about the texture and toppings, especially with my living in SD for a few years. Mandala Tea House blows it out of the water! I loved how the tea house was located inside the Breathe Together Yoga studio first of all, and secondly the service was so smiley and friendly. It's a rarity to find genuine and caring service folk these days. As a nut allergy gal, I always balk at any granola talk because no one looks forward to getting stabbed with an EpiPen. BUT the girls let me know that there were nuts inside the granola they used (that's all I need to know!! thank you), so I could instead customize my bowl to make it fit what I was craving. They didn't charge me extra for being a restrictive eater either--so kind. The bowl itself is average for Bay Area bowls, and the size is smaller than places like Vitality Bowls, but the quality is so much better. Katie made my Warrior bowl, and she allowed me to add cacao nibs, bananas, coconut shaving, and berries into my bowl. The texture of the acai is so creamy and more on the stiffer side, which is how I like my bowls. A lot of other acai spots make their acai base way too soupy which doesn't taste good. They also serve a bunch of smoothies, juices, elixers, and coffee/teas. They have hot drinks too when they cafe is open (usually during the morning unless it's a weekend), but if you can only come after hours...they have a fridge stocked with their cold drinks for your stomach's needs. Homey service and baristas who know what they're service, making, and talking about. That's what we need more of! Thanks Mandala Tea House! I'll be back.

Cute ambiance, discovered it randomly and glad I did. It's housed inside a yoga studio and is a bit discreet. I enjoyed my matcha latte with house made cashew milk, the staff was friendly too and nice to chat with.
