Food: The Hainan Chicken is pretty good with portion of chicken (black meat), rice and chicken soup. I'd say the black meat's meat and skin ratio is not too ideal but acceptable. The Beef in Egg Drop Sauce is very much recommended! It's a big portion, it's enough for 2 or even 3 to share! The Hot and Sour Soup is not the traditional flavor, so I wouldn't recommend to people who are looking for the light texture or Taiwanese style.Service: the staff is nice though they are very busy. We were lucky enough to sit by the service station, so we grabbed our own chopsticks and takeout boxes instead. Ambiance, casual but viby at the same time. It's very comfortable. We see family and friends groups dining here at the time we were there and they have high chair with round table as well.

*LOCATION*This hong-kong style restaurant is located in the same plaza as Pearl Bay and a several other eateries. Parking is terrible during peak hours and can take a long time to find a spot unless you get lucky. *WAIT TIME*We visited on a Saturday ~2pm and there was no wait. There were only a few tables occupied likely because it was past prime lunch time. The waiter was quick to serve us water and take our orders.*FOOD*-HK milk tea: tasted good, not too sweet-Preserved egg & pork porridge: v big portion, decent amount of egg/pork, the congee itself was not enough salt/flavor IMO so kinda bland tasting -Salty fish & Chinese sausage clay pot: takes ~25 min to come out, protein was v salty, rice was hard/undercooked??, not a fan :( *SERVICE*The waiters were nice and attentive during our meal. They mostly spoke Mandarin but English was ok too. No complaints about service here!*AMBIENCE*Overall, the interior is pretty nice and more modern-looking than the typical Chinese restaurant. There is a stage inside where it looks like it could be used for karaoke. The menu items are pretty pricey though so not sure if we'd be eating here often...

Local cafe is that spot you go to if you want good quality late night eats. When everywhere is closed you can count on local cafe to be open. I recommend looking at the menu before going in cause there's a lot to choose from. The food doesn't take that long to come out either which is a plus when you're hella hungry. This place is also the perfect place to drink while you eat. They have beer, wine, and soju so your drinks are endless. The decor is very modern and it doesn't feel like you're in an old school Hong Kong cafe until you eat the food. I will say it's a little pricey for the dishes but the family style servings make it worth it.

I've been here a few times and the food was good. However, all of us who ate the food from last night had stomach cramps. We had chow fun with scrambled eggs, salt and pepper chicken wings and garlic broccoli. Not sure if I will go back again...

It sounds like you went on quite a sweet culinary adventure. Fresh mango with black sticky rice sounds like heaven! And Hong Kong-style French toast? Egg waffle with ice cream? Yum. Interesting choice with the cilantro garnish, though. Maybe it's their twist on dessert presentation. Service is quick, they also offered all you can drink soup if you have dinner in the restaurant. Ambiance is causal, love the deco inside.

Great food and great atmosphere for karaoke! Wish there was a place like this closer to home. Will definitely be back to sing a song or two.

Food is ok but really can't come back again strictly because of the karaoke.- it took us an hour to get seated because there were literally tables just empty but the patrons wouldn't leave because they wanted to watch or do whatever.- people setting up for karaoke meant loud mic squeaking and random loud noises. I thought it was going to get better after set up but...- it's karaoke so you have people who don't sing well, but worst of all is when it's so loud your ears hurt. Definitely don't bring babies or children if you want to protect their ears. My baby has been holding his ears crying. How is this karaoke even a good option for you as a business? People left in a hurry with unfinished food. People left the waitlist because it was too noisy and the wait was too long. Then you have people squatting at tables doing jack. I regret I stayed to find out and hope people know what they're getting themselves into.

Most authentic Hong Kong cuisine I've had in Fremont. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable. I don't know why the ratings are so poor, it's a Chinese restaurant, don't expect Michelin star service, you're there for the food. The service quality was totally fine.
