I visited this supermarket for the first tume at around 6:30pm. I haven't been before because it is usually closed and because I mostly cook American food. I was craving boba, so I went in to check if they had any instant frozen boba packets, but the doors were cloudy with condensation and there was no light inside the freezer ice cream section. Its probably there but I was unsuccessful. I did find many pantry can boba options in the drink section. I was happy about that, I tried a taro flavor in a tall can with pearl boba, I'd recommend for quick boba fix. It does smell inside, but its a fish market so....if youre sensitive to smell this is your heads up. Its a huge store with lots of products. Prices are great and I would recommend this place for any or all Asian recipe ingredients because theyll probably have it. They were cleanung the floor with a machine when I was leav8ng around 7pm. I saw someone also use EBT card, so they do take EBT.

This Lion Market is "a bit cleaner" than the others I've been to. This is located in the Gould Shopping Center, close to Tai Pan and the LaserTag place.Good place to pick up your asian groceries and produce.

Few weeks ago, Hispanic guy from Meat Department was playing with his phone when I asked for shrimp. Today I came back, Another guy was pouring Clorox on something when another guy came to help me for a pound of shrimps. ***Asian guy wearing red hat was very helpful. He started putting in the bag and I asked him to stop Coz I couldn't stand the smell. I'll probably just toss it away, it's probably contaminated. I don't understand why the other guy was already pouring Clorox when it's only 7:15. I don't think they're even allowed to use those strong chemicals for cleaning. Cashiers are LAZY they don't help you put your groceries in the shopping cart. After she handed me the receipt she closed her register then she walked away while I'm still putting away my groceries. And I agreed lady who helped you with lottery got attitude.

My preferred choice for Asian groceries in San Jose is Lion Supermarket. Despite the closer proximity of a 99 Ranch at Oakridge mall, Lion offers better affordability and a more extensive range of Chinese and Vietnamese ingredients, including items like frozen minced lemongrass. I'm not quite sure why 99 Ranch doesn't even offer the fresh lemongrass stalks when Whole Foods offers the staple produce. Moreover, Lion boasts a larger selection of kitchenware items and ramen noodles. While there may be cheaper Asian markets in SJ, they often fall short in terms of the freshness and assortment of their produce. Unfortunately, the three stars is because of the lingering seafood smell and lack of interior appeal. However, service is always fast and efficient even on busy weekends.

This location is by far the most convenient and they are stocked with Siracha for $6 for the large bottle. The parking lot isn't as congested as the sister stores which I am fond of because lets face it, plaza's can be a pain. I do see the employee's trying to keep up their due diligence to ensure bruised food is tossed out and keeping produce as fresh as possible.

Even though I'm Asian and there are Asian workers here too they're so unfriendly and I'm sure I'm disgraced about Vietnamese's ethnicity.

This Lion's market is like any other market. You can find your local Asian necessities in this supermarket. There is nothing special to this place. However, it is a bit cleaner than some Lion's markets. I come here when I am near the area. The workers are helpful and will direct you to which aisle the product(s) you are looking for.

Don't waste your time or money here. I've been to this Lion many times. I think they have a good selection. It's definitely not the nicest place and it smells bad but the prices are good.I went here today. Since there were no carts outside (there rarely are) I walked in and went to grab a basket. I saw that two women were taking a cart from a line blocking the unused register lanes. I went and grabbed one in the different lane to avoid the women. As I started to go into the store to shop a lady who worked there blocked me and told me I had to take another cart. I asked why and she wouldn't say. She barely spoke English from what I could tell. She just pointed and said that I just had to use the other cart. She started shoving me so I stood firm and raised my voice with a firm "hey." I kept asking why and she said something (I think) about that cart not going outside. I told her that I brought my own bags and I normally carry my groceries to the car so I don't leave a cart in the parking lot. She would not stop so eventually I gave up and grabbed the other cart she was pointing at One of the wheels didn't work so I just gave up and left.I will never go back here. I'm not sure what was going on with this lady who acted so rude, but this place isn't worth going back.Update: I emailed my experience to the store and never heard a response. They clearly don't care about customer service and loyalty here. That's fine. I'll go to 99 Ranch from now on.

This Lion Supermarket is pretty good. Similar to the Saratoga Ave location, it has a clean interrior, veggies, there could be more variety but it is OK for a Lion. Similar to Milpitas, it has a high ceiling at some places, but when you come in the ceiling is lower. Service is OK, it is not too crowded. Not too much ambience in there. I know a few people that come here. :)
