When it comes to finding the perfect spot for chamoy gushers, this place has got you covered. I usually try to find them just for the gushers. Quesobirria:While the quesobirria may seem a little pricey, coming in at around $25 for a set of three and consome, the flavor and quality of the dish more than made up for the cost. The succulent, tender meat combined with the flavorful broth made for a truly satisfying meal that left me feeling happy and full. But the highlight of the meal for me was definitely the consome. It was thick and hearty, with just the right amount of seasoning and spices. Unlike other places where the broth can be too oily or greasy, this consome was perfectly balanced and left me feeling warm and comforted. Add in a squeeze of lime to balance out the saltiness! Overall, I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. The prices may be a little higher than other places, but the quality and flavor of the food is good. So if you're looking for some amazing chamoy gushers for desert after a hearty meal, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I have seen birria pho circulating, but never tried it. Now the 5 stars isn't for their birria pho, but it's for their attempt at creating a fusion delicacy. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup, can be made w/ chicken or beef. Personally, I have never tried vegetarian pho so I cannot comment. What makes the broth fragrant and aromatic is due to the many hours on the stove top, let's not forget the charred star anise, charted cinnamon sticks, charred ginger, charred onions, and charred coriander seeds. All of these stay steeped while the bone marrow releases its natural beef flavor into the broth. I feel like the birria pho should really be called birria bo kho. Though not even remotely close, but the simple interpretation is that it is a stewed soup. My only gripe was that there was a ton of the consume, but barely any noodles. The birria portion was quite generous. Suggest they use wide rice noodles instead, too.The quesitaco was delicious. The winner of the meal was their creamy green salsa. It was delightfully spicy. It did not overpower the flavor, instead heightened it. Packaged very well as I ordered via DoorDash.

The food was good, but the customer service was lacking. I ordered the birria tacos and birria pho, and when I went to pick up my order, the staff were unhelpful and dismissive when I asked a simple question to confirm my order number. Their response was not satisfactory.

I've never actually visited the food truck, but I have ordered from them multiple times. (Pro tip: They're on DoorDash)Be warned: Their portions are huge and their candies are super addictive! The food from them always arrives super hot! Like, sometimes I can't hold the quesadilla kind of hot. I'm not sure how they do it, but it's amazing. I've ordered tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and varying candies from them. I'd order any and all of them again. Give this spot a try when you are looking for a casual, comforting meal. If you like this type of food, you won't be sorry. Warning: May result in food coma.

Birria Tacos (2 for $8)- My favorite birria tacos!!! The consome isn't too salty and delicious. Whenever I have extra I like to eat it with my ramen. I would also recommend getting their gummies! My favorite are the pineapple bears and the peach rings. They use to have a taco truck near the plant but now they have a location in Fuze Bar Grill in Downtown SJ! You can order through the door dash app for pickup or delivery! You can also go inside and eat there as well for outdoor dining. Check out my Instagram for more! @eatwithsabs

My first visit was back in November 2019 prior to COVID-19 after a friend recommended I check out this place. We arrived and the line was just as long as I see some of the photos now. We checked out the menu and I ordered the Birria tacos, quesadilla, consomé, large horchata PLUS watermelon & peach ring gomitas. We paid with Venmo (they don't take card) and we were given our order number. We walked to the side table that holds several salsa options and an array of condiments that pair perfectly with this type of food (rábanos, chiles, limones, cebolla, etc)! There was a lady serving the agua frescas at that table. After about 10-15 minutes our order was called and we dove right into our food. I tried the Birria tacos first and felt they were too dry before being dipped into the consomé. I tried my quesadilla and WOW the cheese makes a huge difference in the overall flavor. I definitely enjoyed the quesadilla a lot more. It's even more juicy when dipped in the consomé and salsa of choice! The consomé had a delicious overall taste. Pairs well with the food. The horchata was delicious not overtly sweet. The salsas were all good (fav: salsa verde)! I enjoyed all the condiments including the chips you can put into the little plastic bags. The gomitas were good in the candy mix. It can be hard to find the peach rings at every visit but the lady made sure I got a pack during my visit. Pretty much got hooked on the birria quesadilla and came back several times after. I haven't been back since the SIP but it looks like the place is still super busy. You spend more time waiting in line than anything else. Limited tables to sit in when you could do that (good old days). The next best place is your car to keep the tortilla crispy and the food hot. Sure you can eat it at home but it's just not the same. The food gets soggy and cold by the time I eat it at home. I thought it was pricey as you had to buy everything separately (tacos, consomé, etc). They ended up adding a consomé that included meat which was more expensive but has a more meaty taste than the original one. Overall, delicious birria focused placed. The gomitas come in a wide variety and are delicious but overpriced. Parking is nonexistent and the wait in line is excruciating but this place is still a must try in the South Bay!

I see Ladygomitas all over social media. I heard they serve the best quesabirria tacos in San Jose. I have planned my trip to Fairgrounds accordingly to evaluate for myself. In the end, was it all worth the hype?In short, yes! I cannot say I've ever had a quesabirria taco before, so I don't have much to go off of. But what I ended up with was something delicious.I got myself two quesabirria tacos ($7) and a small consome ($3). The quesabirria tacos here are served with cheese, marinated beef, cilantro, onions, and other seasonings. They come with cucumbers, radishes, lime peels, and red sauce on the side. The consome is a broth filled with the juices of the beef, cilantro, onions, and other seasonings. The recommendation that I received from a friend is to buy both the tacos and the consome because when you dip the tacos into the consome, you get tacos that are rich and juicy. After adding a squeeze of lime and red sauce to my tacos, I took a dip and popped a bite. Needless to say, that was an epic experience. The meat being soaked in its own juices and paired with cheese and other ingredient--it's a rewarding combination. You're going to feel the impact of the food even after you're finished. The small consome is actually very plentiful, and you can choose to drink it after finishing the tacos or take it home for later consumption. But amazing tacos are to be expected. What about everything else? The thing I want to emphasize in my review is the parking and waiting situation. I came to the spot at 6:00PM and saw a huge line that extended to the nearest stoplight. Upon finding parking in the rather shady back, I asked myself whether I had arrived too late. This was no simple wait for a rollercoaster ride; this was an endurance test. And for those who haven't eaten food all day such as myself, this was hell. From the back of the line to finally ordering, it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes. For waiting on the food to come out, it took me another 45 minutes. Altogether, I had gotten my food in 3 hours. I've never waited this long for anything since last year's Black Friday sale. Some additional notes: CASH only! Cashapp, Venmo, and Paypal supported. Seating and tables available, though most will be occupied. Recommended you tag a group of friends along. Ask for other salsa options when possible. Friendly staff. Relatively clean area. I came at a Sunday evening, but I was informed the place may open earlier on the weekends than scheduled. Have something to entertain you for the long waittime. As delicious as those quesabirria tacos were, would I like to relive the experience of waiting 3 hours to nab 'em? Probably not. The line being packed suggests to me that Ladycomitas is putting out something that everyone feels they must check out, and I believe they deserve the hype. Best quesabirria tacos in San Jose? You can bet they are up there.
